Creature Sound Design: WINGS is a sound effects library like nothing else out there

It doesn’t happen every day, but once in a while a sound library comes by that’s truly unique. WINGS from Canadian Bonson is exactly such a library.

It’s a library created for designing flying creature sounds – real as well as fantastical. Here are some of the creature names from the Design section to get the imagination fired up:

Alien, Butterfly, Chicken, Dragon, Gargoyle, Grasshopper, Griffin, Mechanical Bird, Pegasus, Phoenix, Pigeon, Pterodactyl, Rhinocerous Beetle

So there’s plenty of material to use as-is, or to build from.

Also included is a large amount of regular Foley sounds from sources like bird wings, leather gloves, Hawaiian lei, camouflage netting, artificial leaves and much more. The Design category, with the ready-made creature sounds, comes with 180 files, and the Source category comes with more than 1200 foley sounds. Here’s the full sound list.
