With these new libraries, you’re taking a somewhat different approach than with your previous releases. What’s your thinking behind this?
Our first Airborne Sound collections focused on elite high-performance machines: Race cars, fighter jets, steam trains, and so on. Those collections were “sonic essays” or meditations that covered on a single theme from every angle.
In 2014, we decided to introduce new type of sound collection: Library Builder Bundles. They include Household, Office, Kitchen, Bathroom, and Human sound effects.
These collections bundle hundreds of sound clips in one tidy package. They were designed to give you options: offer multiple takes, perspectives, and variations. We know what it’s like to be locked into editing a single clip tediously, over and over. The Library Builder Bundles give you more flexibility.
We also believe strongly in what we call “foundation sound effects.” Superstar clips like machine guns, death robots, and dragons don’t work alone. The Library Builder Bundles were created to support those lead actors with cornerstone clips we use every day.
What’s your approach to pricing with these releases?
Well, we remember what it’s like to start your editing career. You have the creativity, but not the cash. We wanted to offer these packages at a reasonable price. These five collections will help you start your own personal sound library inexpensively.
Already have a library? These collections won’t break the bank if you want to add more flavour to the collection you already have.

Household Sound Effects

A mix of household appliances (fridge, AC, vacuum), domestic foley (chair, alarms), over 200 doors, windows, and drawers, 18 room tones, and more.
Office Sound Effects

This sound bundle gathers hundreds of technological clips: hard drives, computers, mice, printers, and scanners. Office Foley rounds out the collection with binders, books, staplers, scissors, paper, and more.
Kitchen Sound Effects
• 155 sound effects
• 1.35 gigabytes
From frying, cooking, cleaning, appliances (toaster oven, microwave, freezer), chopping, washing, and more, the Kitchen collection covers every culinary clip.
Bathroom Sound Effects
• 170 sound effects
• 2.21 gigabytes
Dozens of water clips (splashes, washing, drains) accompany classic shower, toilet, and flushing sounds. Appliances (hair dryer, razor) join grooming sound effects (brushing teeth, aerosol cans, shaving), and others.
Human Sound Effects
• 400 sound effects
• 1.62 gigabytes
This package contains coughs, sneezes, sniffs, screams, laughs, farts, belches, and burps and more. Includes male, female, and baby performers.
