THE GLITCH SFX TOOLKIT
In this library, you will find electronic sounds that can be used on a variety of applications such as Sci-Fi projects, computer glitches, faulty equipment, robots and much more.
All of the files were designed from scratch – no pre-existing sounds were used – and they are sourced from actual computer errors, generating original sounds.
Included, you will find a folder called “TELEVISION_&_RADIO”. The files in that folder have an EQ applied to them to simulate the effect of the sounds coming out of those pieces of equipment. This will save you time – you don’t have to worry about processing them and can drag & drop them into your projects.
‘Hud Interface’ by Cinematic Sound Design delivers a huge collection of user interface, computations, readouts, glitches, sci-fi sounds and more. Designed & recorded in high-definition 24 bit / 96 Khz and meticulously embedded with Soundminer, this collection will serve in a range of applications and is a must-have addition to any production library.

A collection of ear-piercing, stress-inducing alarm tones and noise samples. They're built from the ground up, starting with synthetic test tones (dual and single), signals or noise, and then carefully tweaked through analog and plugins filters, to obtain the right tempo, pitch and feel. Most tracks are more than 1 minute long and are easily looped.

Ultimate Chess SFX is a collection of almost every sound you could ever hear in a chess game, from setting up the pieces to playing, to flipping the chessboard.
Being one the first large chess libraries ever recorded, we did extensive research to find which files Sound Effects Editors and Game Audio Designers would need + then included much, much more.
Our Audio Craftsmen recorded sounds of wooden chess board scrapes, opening-closing, all variations of chess pieces moving and capturing each other, chess pieces falling on different surfaces, pencil scribbles, chess clocks etc. All recorded in our acoustically treated Foley Suite.
We have also included 115+ spoken word effects of numbers, letters and other important terms used in a chess game, performed in a Neutral British Accent.
We then edited the sounds with meticulous detail, so that you can use them straight away in your films, games and other chess-related projects. All files are provided dry in 24Bit/96kHz allowing for further manipulation.
Let the game begin!
Here are the included folders:
Chess Board: Sounds of opening and closing, scrapes, taps, punching and flipping the chessboard.
Chess Pieces: This folder contains 5 subcategories:
Capturing: Different variations of chess pieces capturing each other.
Dropping: Collection of dropping chess pieces on surfaces like wood, concrete etc.
Movements: Sounds of pieces moving and sliding across the chessboard.
Rolling: Roling sounds of chess pieces.
Misc: Sounds of chess pieces falling, setting and clearing the chessboard etc.
Clock: Ticking clocks, stopwatches and winding up timers.
Pencil Writing: Pencil scribbling sounds on paper, dropping and taking pencils from a wooden table.
Voices: All numbers, letters and important terminology used in chess games performed in a British Accent. We also included multiple variations of tense breathing.

BREAKDOWN ELEMENTS | A bold collection of sound effects for visual effects breakdowns.
Our objective was to create a unique and easy-to-use selection of sound effects that takes an entirely different approach to cliche synthesized sci-fi sound effects.
The majority of elements have originated from organic field recordings that have been elegantly manipulated into a wild new form, achieving a natural, physical vibe for each sound.
The collection is structured into eight categories: BED, BUILD, IMPACT, INTERFERENCE, REWIND, RISER, TRANSITION and WHOOSH. Each element has been designed to work both by itself or layered to produce more complex textures. Additionally, each element has 4-6 variations to maximise versatility.
All sounds are royalty free and equipped with comprehensive Soundminer metadata for rapid access.
The Boom, Crackle and Scream library is the first in a planned series of Glitch Factory mini libraries. This library uses sounds recorded of Fireworks ranging from large booms to small sparklers and mangles them into interesting textures in varying degrees.
The sounds have been manipulated using analog synthesizers, custom Reaktor instruments and other types of granular processing. They will work well for Sci-Fi weapon layers, user interface sounds and more.
Transmission apparatus is a construction kit designed to create a broad range of communication sounds, from real to “alien” broadcasting signals.
The library contains more than 2 GB of data, delivered in 373 files of unique sound material. It’s catalogued in five elements: AM (amplitude modulation), FM (frequency modulation), SSB (single side band – aka ham radio), KYMA (synthesised noises) and VOCAL (unintelligible speeches).
The first three bands were recorded from the output of different radio receivers at 96 kHz via a Crane Song HEDD (Harmonically Enhanced Digital Device) to add warmth and tube/analog sonic color to the recordings. All the samples have been carefully selected from these recording sessions, with the addition of just a little dsp processing to widen the stereo field.
The Kyma folder also contains unique audio files entirely synthesised in the SSC Kyma+Paca(rana) environment. A group of SFX called Vocal is the result of “destroyed” dialogues and vocal sources via spectral processing.
Transmission Apparatus is available in two versions:
96 kHz .WAV version• Audio Format: Broadcast Wave Files (.wav)
• Bit Depth: 24-bit Size: 2.49 GB
• Download size is 1.82 GB (compressed .rar archive)

WHAT’S INSIDE (FILES / SOUNDS)
Chris C. (Animation Producer)
The JSE Futuristic Interface sound effects package was just what I needed. It’s hard to find original-sounding futuristic effects that match the motion graphics we’ve created, but the JSE package sounds were all interesting, original and refreshing, and contained such a great variety that finding the perfect match was easy. All the filenames make searches easy and intuitive, so I can focus on sound design instead of file management. Great product!

WHAT WE RECORDED
As opposed to Cinematic Elements: Fire & Water, no microphones were harmed in the production of this library. In fact, it has been crafted almost entirely using synthesis and elaborate effect chains through which any resemblance of the original recording was transformed into the edgy, unique and identifiable sounds that made it into the package.
WHAT'S SO SPECIAL ABOUT THIS LIBRARY?
A new BOOM library usually is born when we feel that the current supply on the market falls short of our own needs and quality standards. Especially game sound designers require a large pool of available intensities, moods, stages and variations when working on anything UI-related. Focusing purely on the virtual / artificial world, MODERN UI perfectly complements the first, more organic library The Interface.
CLICK, SWIPE, and SCROLL your way through a concise set of 300 interface sound files! Each and every BUTTON, CLICK, SWIPE, SNAP, CHIME, CRUNCH, POP, WHOOSH, THUMP, SLAM, SQUEAK, CLANG, DING, PLUCK, and TICK has been carefully constructed with a distinct MECHANICAL feel, covering all shapes, sizes and paces you’ll ever need for any user-controlled UI sound.
ADDITIONAL FEATURES:

The Sci-Fi Interface series returns once again with yet another packed library filled with fresh frequency modulated content, achieved with newly found techniques and approaches.
Aimed at complementing Vol. I of this series, Vol. II shifted its focus towards more unconventional sounds, on the noisier spectrum of science fiction User Interfaces. You’ll find a lot of robotic conversations, raspy glitches, insectoid clicking, amongst other oddities, created with experimental software pieces and semi-modular synthesizers. All of these sounds have been finely cut, edited and mixed, created with little to no use of external effects, ready to be dropped onto any given audiovisual project.
165 minutes of varied atmospheres and textures are also present, ranging from simple resonant ambiences, to digital sounding engines, to just plain harsh data processing sounds. Combined with over 900 one-shot sound effects, you’ll quickly settle behind the joysticks of your newly built space-ship, ready for an intergalactic journey beyond the sonic realms.
625 audio recordings and synthesized sound effects carefully processed and edited to fit with any fantasy style UI visuals.

With A Sound Effect, Asbjoern has created a web site where our international community can browse, learn, and share the vast fruits of our labors. Together we are accelerating the very real potential power of sound design as a recognized art form.
A Sound Effect is an excellent resource for us to keep our animated films sounding unique and exciting.
A Sound Effect is a great asset to have discovered.
We found the site very easy to navigate, purchasing and downloads were effortless and the effects themselves are awesome! Asbjoern has done us all a great service.
We’ll definitely be back!
There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
We're always looking for new sounds to mangle, so when A Sound Effect had a holiday sale, I tried them out.
The purchase experience is really smooth and quick, and delivery is almost instant.
I'll definitely come back to them again in the future!
A Sound Effect is a wonderful resource for indie sound effects libraries. On top of that, it has some of the finest sound design, film and game audio interviews!
I often need very specific types of sounds so I've become a big supporter of independent recorders.
Until now I've always had to go to their individual websites. Now I can find them all in one place.
And, Asbjoern is great to work with!
A Sound Effect is a well curated boutique sound effects shop and a great place to find industry interviews and learning resources.
