The Boring Doors Library Vol. 1 is a collection of everyday door sounds, recorded and edited with an unusually high level of precision and care. Over the course of two years, we’ve captured a wide variety of opens, closes, creaks, and mechanical movements of classic doors, using top-tier equipment in highly controlled environments.
As a post-production studio, we record doors all the time — because no matter how boring they seem, you can never have enough. That’s the spirit behind this collection: essential, consistent, and endlessly useful in real-world post workflows.
Each sound has been recorded with minimal background noise and treated using the best noise reduction tools available, always preserving the natural character of the source. All files include multiple variations and come in two versions in the stereo file:
– A lightly mastered version, ready to drop into your timeline.
– A raw, unprocessed version, with no EQ or dynamic treatment.
On top of that, the library features meticulous metadata, structured to the highest standards of sound effects organization. It fully adheres to the UCS system, but goes further — incorporating custom subcategories within UCS for even clearer, more intuitive search and categorization.
Clean, reliable, and designed by professionals who use this material every day — The Boring Doors Library Vol. 1 is the definitive toolbox for any sound editor working with doors.
We recorded around 80 beautiful tracks, 96Khz and 24 bits HD. As always, top quality recordings specially designed for film audio projects.
In this pack you will find a great DOORS sound collection in order to use it in your films, TV, VR & multimedia projects.

Unleash sonic chaos and chilling unease with BIAS, a collection of 70 sound effects of pure cacophony and dissonance (24 Bit / 48 kHz, wav, UCS).
Dive into a world of cacophony: hear the anguish of tortured laments and the bewildering clash of instruments colliding in discordant harmony.
Venture into the realm of dissonance: encounter the haunting movements of rare, detuned pianos, the nerve-jangling friction of intense violin interactions, and unsettling textures that weave a palpable sense of dread.
Although it is a simple and small library, BIAS is not for the faint of heart. Is aimed to the sound designer, trailer composer, and artist seeking to evoke unease, tension, and the beautifully broken.
Introducing the Sounds of Idaho. Sounds featured in the library include: Greater Sage Grouse on their lek during mating season; the roar of Idaho and Shoshone Falls during high water events; the flowing Snake, Payette and Boise Rivers captured from varying distances; the sound of wind scraping across the tallest single-structured sand dunes in the U.S., captured with a spaced pair of hydrophones below the surface; a wetland marsh jam-packed with birdsong; dry yellow quaking aspen tree leaves swaying in the breeze on a beautiful fall day; and finally, thousands upon thousands of clamoring migratory Snow Geese on a stopover. Quite possibly the noisiest of all waterfowl, they take flight in unison in front of my microphones.

Steller Sea Lions
The Steller Sea Lions library is a mini library of stereo recordings from an expedition up the coast of Vancouver Island. In this library you will find a variety of vocalizations from a colony of over 200 Steller Sea Lions.
It’s everything you’d need for any linear or game media.
The Herring spawn (or Herring run) happens every spring along eastern Vancouver Island. Adult Pacific Herring congregate in huge numbers along the coastal shorelines.
This brings an abundance of wildlife to the coastal areas of Vancouver Island.
With A Sound Effect, Asbjoern has created a web site where our international community can browse, learn, and share the vast fruits of our labors. Together we are accelerating the very real potential power of sound design as a recognized art form.
A Sound Effect is an excellent resource for us to keep our animated films sounding unique and exciting.
A Sound Effect is a great asset to have discovered.
We found the site very easy to navigate, purchasing and downloads were effortless and the effects themselves are awesome! Asbjoern has done us all a great service.
We’ll definitely be back!
There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
We're always looking for new sounds to mangle, so when A Sound Effect had a holiday sale, I tried them out.
The purchase experience is really smooth and quick, and delivery is almost instant.
I'll definitely come back to them again in the future!
A Sound Effect is a wonderful resource for indie sound effects libraries. On top of that, it has some of the finest sound design, film and game audio interviews!
I often need very specific types of sounds so I've become a big supporter of independent recorders.
Until now I've always had to go to their individual websites. Now I can find them all in one place.
And, Asbjoern is great to work with!
A Sound Effect is a well curated boutique sound effects shop and a great place to find industry interviews and learning resources.
