This week we have three new libraries on A Sound Effect. Travel to urban Los Angeles to experience the sounds surrounding its familiar landmarks. Or perhaps you’d enjoy the countryside of Southern India with their exotic wildlife and rural living. Or maybe you just want to stay home and hang out with your Shiba dog. Nothing wrong with that.
When creativeaudiopoolberlin says this library is “incredible”, they aren't exaggerating. 'Incredible Sounds of India Vol. 1' collects many wonderful sounds from the Indian countryside. People sing, pray, ride motorcycles, shoot guns and sound generally content with their rural living. The library also contains several exotic animals such as gibbon apes, peacocks, dogs, roosters, and loads of interesting tweets, caws, and honks from birds that I’m sure were a blessing to record.
Norsonant has released their library 'Shiba Dog', and it celebrates the distinct sounds of this beloved canine. The team captures the barks, panting, whines and cries from two dogs in their studio who luckily took turns in their vocalizations, allowing an easy recording session. If you don’t live in Japan or in an area where you can easily interact this breed, then check out this library for the unmistakeable sounds of this pet.
Robert Kubicki wants to transport you to sunny Los Angeles. In his new library 'Ambiences from Los Angeles', he captures the essence of LA through its people and landmarks. From its beaches and film studios to Downtown and LAX, this library has the traffic, diverse accents, waves, skate parks and crowds that fill the air as thickly as the smog in Tinseltown.
