Arvor 215 boat sound library features recordings of the boat’s diesel engine in sync with its propeller. Onboard sound effects were recorded with two DPA 4061 microphones, taped under the “hood” and on the back of the boat, near the propeller. Inspired by thin ice sound recordings and huge pictures of power lines, I recorded a slinky with a contact microphone in order to get some sounds for some thin ice. I ended up with a lot of sci fi lasers and “star trek torpedos.” With some cool bouncing popping electricity stuff, take a listen and pick up a copy to throw in your library when creating sci fi stuff and/or some electricity being sent through power lines!!

Here is a little demo. I think some cool sounds were captured. with the 96k recording you can pitch it quite harshly and get some fine stuff…..the last 2 laser “blasts” have been pitched for you to hear. the first one at 20% of the original speed and the last at 15%. “Quiet Hotels At Night Vol. 2” is the second part of our most popular library “Quiet Hotels At Night”. Comprised of the best pieces of several years of recordings. Imagine you are in a game or a security guard who is doing his regular tour. You find yourself in different corridors, rooms, and stairwells, even in the kitchen of a restaurant late at night. Through the recordings, you can experience a wide variety of settings – from riding a hotel elevator to looking around the lobby. The idea of the library is to include a rich variety of room tones and quiet atmospheres very early in the morning, late in the evening, or at night. The atmospheres in hotels of different sizes and stages of construction are quite distinctive because of their different reverberation, density of walls, doors, etc. Most of the library is focused around silence. You can hear photo-cell lighting at times, distant faint voices at others, or just sporadic sounds coming from places such as doors or footsteps from an upper floor. The stairwells are also very interesting as you can hear the sound of moving elevators stopping on another floor or the sound of pure electricity. This library sequel also includes atmospheres from the interior of moving elevators. You will hear the sound of doors closing, traveling, and doors opening. Room tones from a handful number of bathrooms are included as well. This library has been recorded in Eastern Europe and more specifically in Bulgaria which makes the atmospheres even more diverse and intriguing.

Quiet School Ambiences:

“Quiet School Ambiences” is a library recorded in several schools in Bulgaria (Eastern Europe) during summer vacation. They are old and have a characteristic sound with creaking doors and interesting spaces, corridors, rooms, toilets, a basement and even an attic inhabited by many pigeons. Some of the tracks were recorded in a school located in a small town and there is almost no noise from heavy traffic, only a few birds. Another part of the atmospheres were recorded in a big city very close to a main boulevard and you will hear heavy traffic. In some of the tracks, there is light human activity from teachers on duty or security, footsteps, distant voices, etc.

The library includes several doors with a specific sound recorded from a classroom and from a corridor because the reverberation is different. You will also hear lights turning on and off. Much of the library was recorded with two stereo setups at the same time, usually in different directions (corridors and bathrooms) or different configurations (doors). There are also bonus tracks similar to the main files.

In addition this library features exterior recordings, from slow passes through medium and fast ones, reverse sounds, doppler effects, braking and idle, driving away and more.

Everything was recorded from 3 perspectives with different equipment. Mono recordings followed the car all the time, and were recorded with NTG3. Stereo ones were recorded with Sony PCM-M10 and Sennheisers MKH 8040 in ORTF.

Those microphones were standing still, capturing the car passes from left to right. Last but not least, foley: This library covers different actions, like opening and closing doors recorded from the interior and exterior perspectives, opening and closing slide doors, hood, back doors and windows. Pulling and releasing the hand brake, AC fans, buttons and switches, emergency and turning lights, opening and closing glove compartment and more.

The total length of the files is 142 minutes (without RAW files). In addition to the cleaned and premixed files, you will receive Engine RAW recordings as a separate download link. Thanks to those files you can design the engine or interior sounds the way you like.

“City Streets Bundle”is a collection of 5 libraries or a total of 258 atmospheres that are recorded in urban environments and encompass a wide variety of city streets across different seasons and hours of the day. Inside you will find more than 20GB and over 10h of high quality ambiences.

Night Cityscapes: The library delivers the urban sounds of a sleeping city. The collection includes more than 3 hours of night and early morning ambiences that are recorded in Sofia, Bulgaria. All recordings were made between 01:30 and 05:30 am. This collection will uncover city in a way you may not know. You will find atmospheres of quiet and empty small streets in the city center, where can be heard some air conditioners, urban hum and light traffic in the far background.

Pedestrian Streets: It is a library of 50 ambiences from around 15 different streets, recorded in about 7 cities, mostly in Bulgaria. Most recordings are made in late autumn or winter because bird life is minimized. The task of this library is to capture much of the different dynamics of pedestrian streets: from zero activity to busy streets, basically concentrating on light activity periods. It’s principally recorded in the morning, and you’ll hear the sounds of single footsteps, light voices, shopping streets, dogs, air conditioners, and more of the sounds of a rising city.

Slush and Wet Streets: It is a library that contains 34 tracks (92 minutes total) that are recorded in winter urban environments. You will hear sounds of passing cars and people on slush, wet or snow-covered streets. Atmospheres are recorded at different times of the day and night and at various locations. There are ambiences in the collection that track urban traffic at varying intensities, from an almost empty street with 1 or 2 pass by cars to busy traffic on a wet boulevard. Also, microphones are placed in different positions, from 2m to 30m from moving cars.

Construction Ambiences: It is a library of atmospheres that tracks different processes from the construction site. It was recorded in Sofia, Bulgaria during the renovation of several objects in the city center, namely: small streets, squares and big streets. The processes are shaking and removing old pavements and placing new ones (pavement, asphalt, tiles, etc.). You will hear a variety of road construction equipment: Hydraulic Jackhammer, Excavator, Fadroma, Plate Compactor, Buzzsaw, Chainsaw and other hand and mechanical tools.

Cityscapes and streets: It is a collection of different atmospheres, recorded in Sofia, Bulgaria. Inside you will find various cityscapes from hectic street traffic through city parks, subway stations, pedestrian zones to quiet morning urban sounds. This package covers various city states and is an excellent choice for filling your library or using it in a project where urban environment is necessary.

Everything was recorded with high-quality equipment, able to capture frequencies well above 20kHz, so it’s a very flexible material when it comes to stretching or pitch shifting.

66 stereo ORTF files features 1841 sound effects, cause each recording contains different variations of the same activity. The total length of the files is 35 minutes.

As for the post processing, everything was edited and mastered. Editing came down to removing unwanted sounds between takes, and mastering to removing harsh sounding frequencies, compressing and setting everything on level that is comfortable to work with, so you don’t have to constantly adjust the levels while looking for specific sound.
