    Lake Skadar Vol1: Winds & Ambiences is a first installment of the Lake Skadar series, showcasing the unparalleled sonic richness of the Lake Skadar National Park in Montenegro, a UNESCO nominee. 

    This library is a result of a massive effort put into the recording, editing, and (minimal)mastering process to deliver the highest quality sound effects.

    The recordings were captured using a multi-microphone setup and stretched over several days to capture the essence of the location in all its sonic glory. The library features a whopping 2.5 hours of top-notch recordings of wind sound effects and general “air” ambiances. 

    With 52 files of high-quality recordings, you can listen to general airy ambiances of Lake Skadar, gentle winds being carried across the lake, distant frogs and birds, moderate and strong wind gusts that make the whole lake with its inhabitants silent, creaking trees and snapping branches, wind traveling through leaves and reeds, distant villages at night, and more.

    The library comes packed with rich metadata, making it easy for you to find and sort the files you need for your projects. The files are also UCS compliant.

    I highly recommend listening to the entire preview as it showcases the remarkable sonic diversity of this library. Keep in mind that the preview is only 10 minutes long, whereas the entire library features over 2 and a half hours of recordings.

    The Metal Contact sound library features the recordings of various metal surfaces tortured with different tools. From touching things with fingers, through hitting with metal bars and up to using blenders or magnets to cause the materials to resonate.

    While recording this library my goal was to cover different needs, not only for sound designers but also editors. Scrapes and squeaks were recorded with different intensity and speeds, just like the impacts. From soft and quiet, through medium up to loud and reverberant ones.

    In addition to the regular approach of just touching, hitting and scraping metal parts, I’ve decided to record few experimental sound effects. Listening to the tons of water flowing through a dam, by sticking the microphones to the building’s wall? You got it. Messing with guitar strings using a blender and magnets? It’s here.     The China: Temple Bells & Crowds sound library was recorded in two locations. The first within the Yungang Grottoes, a UNESCO World Heritage site from the Wei Dynasty era, and the second, an ancient Taoist temple built in the Tang Dynasty in the outskirts of Beijing.

    The library includes recordings of large prayer bells, Buddhist wind chimes, wooden wishing sticks adorned with twinkling bells, background and foreground crowd walla in Mandarin, Chinese, birds, and other ambient sounds captured on location in stereo.   • Hum, Buzz & Glitch Sound Effects EMF – Electromagnetic Field Play Track 216+ sounds included $27

    The Electromagnetic Field sound library features 216 stereo 96kHz recordings of more than 80 different electronic devices. The total length of the files is 6 hours and 18 minutes. Post production process was limited to EQ and compression with some noise reduction in few cases, but most of the files are ready for further processing and designing completely new sounds

    Everything was recorded in stereo, and in some cases sounds are wildly flying across not only whole frequency spectrum but also pan image.   • City Life Sound Effects NYC Protest | 2019-2022 Play Track 51+ sounds included, 263 mins total $75

    There’s a lot of material here – recorded and organized with a sound editor’s sensibility.

    The recordings started out by chance – I’d end up in protest situations, and happened to have a recorder with me. This year I was a little more proactive, especially for the rally in Washington Square Park after the Supreme Court overruled Roe v. Wade.

    Also in this collection: A Downtown Brooklyn BLM march, A 2019 Foley Square rally in response to border camps/family separation, A UFT protest at City Hall, and a couple different mics on the jubilant reaction to Biden’s presidential win on the corner of Atlantic and Court in Brooklyn. There’s not much underpinning music or other legally difficult material, but there is some. I’ve chosen to leave it in, for the most part, as this is also a historical record.

    Quite a few takes are very long, and encompass changing circumstances. I’ve opted to use WAV markers, which I’m also providing as “Notes” metadata – making phrases, cheers, and other things I’ve noted searchable and findable!

    Everything is UCS complaint.

    *Most material was recorded on a Sony PCM-100, and originated 96k/24bit; Some material was recorded with the Sennheiser Ambeo Headset, and was upsampled to 96k/24bit from 48k/24bit
