This library gets you very rare sounds from the inner sound of bridges.
Recorded inside of two differnet box girder bridges, this collection features deep metallic thuds from traffic above, metallic creaks of steel and iron, low rumble and eerie atmospheres.
Recorded using Schoeps MK4/MK8 MS microphones and paired with a Sound Devices 702 recorder. All files in this collection use the Universal Category System (UCS) and are tagged with detailed metadata.

Interior sounds of box girder bridges, Elevator shaft inside a bridge pylon. Elevator ride and sounds from the stairwell, Wind and distant traffic from the top of a bridge pylon, Sounds under a bridge with metallic rattling caused by traffic above it.

Interior Wind and Rain“ features 180 minutes of carefully selected wind ambiences in 41 separate files. Recorded over a five-year period in various indoor locations.
This library includes sounds of wind blowing through window cracks, wind howling under doors, storms whipping around an attic, blustery wind with squalls of rain pelting against window panes, and strong wind from inside cars.
The sounds are taken in very quiet rooms and almost free of birdsong. Recorded using Schoeps MK4/MK8 MS microphones and paired with a Sound Devices 702 recorder, the files are also embedded with detailed Soundminer Metadata.

Inland Port is an authentic collection of industrial port recordings, focused on the distinct sounds of giant cranes, alarms, trucks, and the ambience of the container terminal. These were captured at Duisburg, Germany, the largest inland port in Europe, which is normally closed to the public.
Taken in wintertime, these recordings are nearly bird-free. Using Schoeps MK4/MK8 MS microphones and paired with a Sound Devices 702 recorder, the files are also embedded with detailed Soundminer Metadata.

‘Coal Mining’ is a unique collection of sounds that build the ambience of a momentous industry. You’ll hear the sounds from two coal mines, one surface and one underground, which are normally closed to the public.
The collection consists of two main parts:
Surface Mining features the clatter of a giant bucket-wheel excavator, a cross-pit spreader, a long belt conveyor, and the distinct atmosphere from a large open-pit mine.
Underground Mining includes the striking sounds of an underground mine shaft, recorded at a depth of 1500m. With the clatter from a miners’ elevator ride, a rattling chain conveyor, container movement, and many room tones, you’ll get a remarkable sense of underground working. Recorded in one of the last three active coal mines in Germany.

Giant Bucket-wheel excavator, Cross-pit spreader, Long belt conveyor, Mine Shaft ambience, Miners’ Elevator, Train Loading Station, Bucket conveyor, distant mine atmospheres.

From winds rushing through empty streets to winds whistling and whipping across a marina, “Town Winds” offers a broad spectrum of wind ambiences in urban environments.
This library includes the sounds of wind blowing through flagpoles, strong wind gusts at a railway station, and wind whirling around a backyard. There are recordings of clattering masts, fluttering plastic, rattling fences, and much more.
Taken in very calm spaces, these recordings have minimal traffic bleed and are nearly bird free. Recorded with a Shoeps MK4/MK8 MS, paired with a Sound Devices 702 recorder.

The Steam Trains library delivers 175 sound effects of three different types of steam train engines, and the clatter, rattle, and grinding of wagons.
The collection includes riding, idling, pass-bys, departing and arriving trains, bells, whistles, steam blasts, platform atmospheres, and doors and windows.
Engines are the heavy Santa Fe 2-10-2, the Bavarian BB 0-4-4-0 Heavy Mallet, and a 4 Wheel Switcher 0-4-0 light railway. Also included are door and window handling effects of passenger cars
Each engine is well documented and listed in full Soundminer metadata.
The Steam trains library also includes a “Specification Sheet” with detailed information about the trains and environments.
Recorded with a Schoeps MK4/MK8 MS, paired with a Sound Devices 702 recorder. Some takes provide an alternative mix with recordings from an additional Sony PCM-D recorder.

There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
