A vacuum cleaner connected to a long hose that leads into the recording room, so you don’t hear the machine – that’s how this library was created.
It contains sounds from sucking in different materials, dynamic unreal winds & unbearable squeaks from the hose. Furthermore it includes sounds from “inside” the hose/pipe: Close-miked pass-bys of small objects, driven by the wind.
The recorded frequency content goes up to 100kHz, using a combination of microphones like the Sennheiser MKH 8040 and the Sanken CO-100K. Part of the sound files are already pitched down, so at the delivered 24bit – 96kHz resolution you can pitch them even further down without trimming the full audible frequency spectrum.
• 154 sounds, including 47 seamless loops

• Combined Version: versions of a sound are combined into one file (88 files total)
• Split Version: versions of a sound appear as individual files (154 files total)

There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!

I often need very specific types of sounds so I've become a big supporter of independent recorders.
Until now I've always had to go to their individual websites. Now I can find them all in one place.
And, Asbjoern is great to work with!
A Sound Effect is a well curated boutique sound effects shop and a great place to find industry interviews and learning resources.
