Abstract Ambiences gets you a collection of abstract and surreal ambiences, covering everything from Doomed Soundscapes, Dark Drones, Futuristic Dungeons, Alien Worlds, SciFi Horror, Weird Radio Messages and Interference to Disturbing and Terrifying Noises, Eerie Textures & more. The library is the first of many collaborations between SoundBits and Monte Sound. All sounds are royalty free – and several versions are available:
The Cinematic Hits and Transitions 2 sound effects library from SoundBits delivers 222 cinematic, epic, heavy, impacts and hits – ranging from very deep, earthshaking hits, to brutally distorted and mangled impacts. Some are dry, some with extra huge reverbs, others get you an instant attack while some come with a build-up for that extra tension. Lots of starts and tails of the sounds can be combined with each other to give you even more.
But that's not all. There are also 111 scary, haunting, unsettling and weird transitions and movements that instantly give you goosbumps and add that extra suspense for your productions. Lots of new sounds were recorded and got merged with existing SoundBits | Sound Effects. This fusion got mangled, crushed, edited and designed to create this cinematic experience.

The “Computer Sound FX 2“ Sound Effects Library from SoundBits contains over 1000 designed computer sound effects including interface, noise, glitch, alarm, bleep, processing, loading, interaction, malfunction, access, and 8-Bit SFX.

The Crash & Smash sound effects library contains over 1110 sounds of destruction. For this collection I went on a rampage at several junk yards around my hometown, collecting a vast amount of crash sound effects. This one is highly focused more on crashing sounds with all the rumble and debris, giving you hundreds of variations of glass smashes, rolling stones and stone hits, wood breaks and impacts and metal crashes.
As usual the sounds come perfectly cleaned and edited so you can instantly place them in your timeline or design new sounds with it. Of course they also got some EQ and compression treatment but weren't further “designed”, so you have nice and flexible source material for your own productions.

The “Crash & Smash – Designed” sound effects library contains 350 sounds of destruction.
You get 5 categories (Glass, Metal, Stone, Wood, Plastic) each with 50 edited, layered and designed sounds of destruction and demolition. Additionally you get 100 mixed heavy Crash and Destruction Sounds in 5.0 Surround.
These were fully created and designed in surround not just upmixed. You also get the downmixed versions in 2.0 Stereo.
SciFi Drones is a composite collection of very disturbing and scary futuristic spaceship ambiences, Sci-Fi Drones and organic, surreal alien-atmospheres.
Each drone is 2 minutes long, with very versatile variations in each file. And whether it comes to futuristic horror settings, abandoned sci-fi corridors, large spaceship halls, haunted basements or open space in an alien galaxy, this will set the right tone.
Fantastic for any sci-fi project – and will also set the tone equally well for other disturbing cyberpunk projects and scary industrial spaces.
This library is a hybrid-production; A symbiosis of organic original field-recordings like Room Tones, Construction Sites, Traffic, Zoo-Animals, Motors and synthetic elements. Lot’s of spectral and granular synthesis. And lots of sound designing, of course.

When you need Electric Typewriters Sounds, this composite SFX collection of 4 and half (yes half, one machine was broken) (old) electric typewriters delivers. Here's 144 minutes of composite German construction site ambiences. It comes with all the hammering, sawing, digging, drilling, some yelling workers, squeaky crawling excavators and loud jack hammers you'd expect. All edited, cleaned, mixed and packed with metadata.
The ambiences were mostly recorded with a Sound Devices 744t and a Sound Devices Mix-PreD through a Beyerdynamic MC930 ORTF setup and RODE NTG-4 microphone, and some ambiences were tweaked to seamless loop from end to start. All sounds were recorded over weeks at several different construction site around Stuttgart / Germany – from very small sites recorded close up to huge construction sites with lots different typical working sounds.
Get 500 sound effects of mainly metal and wood impacts, metal junk hits, crashes, heavy door slams, metal drops, metal wall and oil tank hits in this SFX library.
All sounds were recorded with a RODE NTG-3, a RODE NT-4 and a Beyerdynamic MC950 microphone on a Sound Devices 744T (+ SD MixPre-D). Each sound was heavily edited and cleaned, so there is no noise or other unwanted sounds. The sounds were layered, EQed and compressed for that extra punch – so they can be instantly used to sonically treat your medieval and sci fi battles, fighting and walking robots and anything else that needs some heavy metal treatment.

Just Impacts – Simple is a huge collection of plain impact sounds. Metal hits, wood impacts, glass smashes, junk destruction – 618 Sounds in 360 files.
This is a must-have construction kit whenever it comes to a movie or game scene where one object hits another. Think car crashes, robot fights, sci-fi battles or any other kind of impact that needs the right sound effect.
The 'Just Impacts – Extension I' sound effects library features 237 sound effects of mainly metal and wood impacts, metal armor hits, crashes, door slams, heavy metal drops, shield blocks and metal wall hits.
All sounds are were recorded with RODE NTG-3 and a NT55 microphones into a Sound Devices 702 recorder. Each sound was edited and cleaned, so there's no noise or other unwanted sounds. The sounds were EQ'ed and compressed for that extra punch.

The “Just Stones” sound effects library brings you a huge amount of sounds created with stones. Ranging from impacts, shatters and rolling stones to scrapes, slides, water hits and tickling fine derbis.

All sounds were recorded in MS using a Sennheiser MKH-8050 + Ambient ATE 208 going in a Sound Devices 788T in 192kHz and 24Bit. The sounds are cleaned and edited for direct use. All mastered and decoded to stereo for instant use.
'Tiny Transitions' deivers 275 short Whooshes and other Transition sounds. Instead of the huge, more cinematic transitional sounds that you are accustomed to hear from SoundBits, this sound pack focuses more on the smaller, not-so-intrusive production elements that come in very handy for any Sound Designer, All-In-One Film Editor or Web-, App- and Game-Developers.
All these small motion-supporting elements that you need in your everyday work for game menus, apps, general motion designs, … or as parts of more complex moving stuff.

There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
