Collected Transients libraries are comprised of 100% originally recorded material. Each collection meticulously tackles a unique subject to provide thoroughly useful source material for sound designers. Every library is built to foster creativity and easily bend, stretch, and mold into your next creation.

All sound effects libraries are embedded with rich Soundminer, Basehead, BWF, and iXML Metadata for easy searching across all popular audio database software.

  • City Life Sound Effects Diffuse City 2 Play Track 130 sounds included, 1015 mins total $125

Diffuse City 2 is the ultimate urban surround sound ambience sound effects library. Delivered in 5.0, it encompasses a wide array of city environments with a focus on diffuse ambience. • Strange instruments is collection of wild and unconventional instrument sound effects. Featuring 30 instruments; this collection covers a wide range sounds from a variety of unique props. From whirling and whooshing Bullroarers, Wind Wands, and Twittering Bamboo; to dramatic impacts and pitch bending from Gongs and Cymbals in water; to the strange calls and warbling of PVC Horns, Overtone Flutes, and Bamboo Swazzles,… the sonic scope of Strange Instruments is wide and varied.

While these props have their place in some forms of music, they were specially selected, performed, and recorded for rich sound design possibilities. Discover how this wild new source material can bring a fresh perspective to your design. Check out the previews of what this library contains at normal speed and what can be achieved with just simple pitch shifting!

  • Feedback is a collection of well… feedback sound effects! Created by digitally misrouting various audio signals in numerous ways to create truly wild sound effects:

    • Speaker ringing feedback to thunderous rumbles
    • Grating tinnitus effects to pleasant tones
    • Rhythmic pulses to chaotic digital noise and much more

Feedback combines the binary precision of digital audio with the unpredictable quality of signal feedback to create a treasure trove of ultrasonic rich sound design material. Use Feedback to flavor your next sci-fi project, bring dramatic tension to a scene, simulate head-aching tinnitus, and so much more!

  • Implosion is a sound effects collection of buildings being destroyed with explosives. It features 10 unique building implosions recorded across the country.

Each implosion was recorded with 4 to 14 channels of audio. To offer multiple perspectives, mics were placed as close as 150ft (~50m) and as far away as 2000ft (~600m) from the various explosive demolitions.

  • Combustion is a sound effects library exploding with combustible sound design material. It encompasses explosions, chemical reactions, fires, and various other forms of combustion. It provides a vast scope of sound design elements for weapons, whooshes, vehicles, impacts, and so much more.

  • Thermal Flux is a sound effects library formed by extreme temperature reactions. With materials ranging from -119°F to 1900°F all captured at 192kHz/24bit, it’s a fiery (and icy) collection of unique sound design source material.

In each recording, props with vast temperature differentials interact with each other… Red hot ball bearings vaporize liquids, melt ice, and destroy various household products. Extremely cold metal instantly freezes water. Molten metals and glass pour into water, groaning, chirping, and crackling, as they solidify. Dry ice causes coins to viciously chatter. Water beads bounce, whine, and buzz on blazing hot pans. White hot sand roars and erupts upon contact with water. All of this and more was recorded with mics capturing quality frequency information up to ~65kHz. This ultrasonic content allows for extreme pitch shifting without compromising fidelity.

  • City Life Sound Effects Diffuse City Play Track 116+ sounds included, 752 mins total $75

Diffuse City is the unique urban ambience sound effects library you didn’t know you were missing. It captures the urban environment in its many forms – all based around the idea of diffuse ambience.

The Diffuse City library is purpose-built for the times an environment needs to be felt, but not be distracting.

Every track in Diffuse City was recorded with some sort of real life “filter” in mind; be it distance, elevation, time of day, physical material – Anything to provide the feeling of city life with out the specificity of many urban ambience libraries. No distracting close car pass-bys or people talking; only great natural ambience beds.

Diffuse City was recorded in big cities, suburbs, small towns, and rural settings over a span of two years. It was largely recorded over very late nights, when very few people we’re around. Occasionally, however, a car would pass by… a gun would go off… While these were edited out of the recordings, they are included as “extras” in the library. Perfect for adding some flavor to a moment that’s authentic to the environment it was recorded in.

    Metadata – and markers:

In addition to thorough metadata, each ambience in Diffuse City is embedded with markers highlighting unique moments that aren’t easily visible in a waveform. Software like Soundminer v4.5 and Reaper can display these markers, making it easy to identify distinct sonic moments in an otherwise nondescript waveform.

  • rOtation is a sound effects library built for sound design centered around things that spin. It contains nearly 200 exceptional sounds and is the first of its kind. If you’re looking for brand new sound design source material, rOtation is the ticket.

Several months of research and recording has led to this very unique collection. It’s props range from ball bearings to trash cans; magnets to fireworks; water to nuts – all in the realm of rotation.

It contains sounds of things that have never been included in a sound effects library before: The sound of a Euler’s Disk speeding up exponentially fast – the whir and chatter of Hurricane balls spinning to 5000+ RPM – Nuts and quarters zipping and buzzing by in a rumbling balloon – The power of neodymium magnets bending the tones of vibrating glass.

  • Drones & Mood Sound Effects Machine Emanation Play Track 70+ sounds included, 180 mins total $30

Machine Emanation is a contact microphone and drone sound effects library focused on machines. It contains multiple recordings and designed drones sourced from band saw to ceiling fan; table saw to dishwasher, thickness planer to paper shredder; bench grinder to refrigerator. Machines were recorded turning on and off, running, and at any available speeds.

Also included are drones designed from each machine. Power tools and appliances are re-imagined as dark rumbling drones and unique atmospheres. A small glimpse of what can be created with Machine Emanation.

  • MaK is a Kontakt instrument which replicates the sounds of a person using various computer keyboards, mice, or touchscreen devices. This allows you to very quickly perform the foley of using one of these devices via midi.

There are 15 devices available in MaK: 5 Keyboards, 5 Mice, 2 Touchscreens, and 3 digital keyboards. Each of these devices has been meticulously recorded at a number of different velocities for a very realistic playback performance.

The majority of the devices have 5 velocity layers; from soft to hard. Each of these velocity layers have 32 different samples: 16 for the press sound, and 16 for the release sounds of each device. That’s 160 samples per device! MaK will randomly trigger press and release samples for each layer based on the velocity you play the notes. Easy to use controls allow you to adjust additional layers of randomness in both velocity and pitch. All of this adds up to realistic devices, and convincing performance. This library requires the full version of NI Kontakt (not included)

  • We are the People is a sound effects library filled with protests chants from the 2012 NATO protests in Chicago.

Two locations give this library two aurally unique crowd environments. The downtown protests reflect off the surrounding buildings, giving them a neat urban quality, while the Ravenswood protests give the impression of a more open environment. Groups of protesters in unified chant ranged in size from just a few to perhaps 200 or more. Many of the recordings have wonderful builds, starting with one or two voices and grow from there, in both size and intensity.

These recordings work great as stand alone effects or for layering in some specificity to crowds. The next time your designing a defiant crowd, bring some authenticity with We are the People.
