Sound Effects

Welcome to Brin Sound. I am an in-house sound designer for Blizzard Entertainment’s cinematics team. I get to work with each franchise’s cinematics, in-game cutscenes, trailers, and promotional material jumping between the diverse universes of World of Warcraft, Overwatch, and Diablo.

At Brin Sound I release sound libraries, freelance as a sound designer in film and television, and help the audio community with education and support.

I previously worked in-house for Activision’s Call of Duty franchise, shipping Infinite Warfare, World War II, Call of Duty Online, and Black Ops 4 as an interactive sound designer. Prior to Activision, I worked on documentaries, short films, advertisements, and television shows with Defacto Sound.

I am the recipient of a TEC, GANG, and Golden Reel award for sound design in interactive audio, and received two more golden reel nominations for my linear work at Blizzard Entertainment. I’m grateful for the amazing projects and people I collaborate with each day.

Welcome to SlipStream

My career designing sound for games, film, and television has me on the hunt for the next great sounds. But no matter how many terabytes of sfx libraries I accumulate, creative weak spots emerge. SlipStream represents a ten month journey to create the library I needed most for my arsenal – an intricately abstract set of hybrid organic/synthetic modern sounds with fluidity, edge, flow, and tonality. I can’t wait to hear what you create with SlipStream!

There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!

A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.

And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
