The 1927 tugboat sound fx collection features 582 sound clips in 28.59 gigabytes of audio. It captures the sound of a Deutz VM 145 4-cylinder engine with 200 horsepower at 300 RPM in 30 synchronized takes.
33 channels gather field recordings from various locations on the vessel. 9 perspectives arranged microphones in the engine room at the transmission, fuel pump, chimney, and more. 5 interior perspectives placed microphones in the galley, bunk, wheelhouse, and in compartments. There are 4 deck perspectives, as well as 3 perspectives of water from bow wash and hydrophones. They combine to capture travelling at slow, medium, and fast speeds. There are also starting, stopping, and docking sounds.
The collection is complimented by a variety of performed fx of doors, hatches, switches, and more. Every clip is embedded with almost 20 fields of professional metadata. In addition, the package comes with Reaper and Pro Tools sessions with all takes aligned for easy mixing and editing.
