This is a set of football pad impacts and foley movements that were recorded outdoors in very quiet conditions. These pads were very worn in and used, so they have a very unique characteristic to the sounds they make. Capturing the pads outdoors kept the natural reflections and context of how the are typically used intact – essential for helping them to sit correctly in any mix.
Movements captured include slams and impacts, drags in the dirt, helmet clacks, and impact with grunts, along with loads of general rattling and jingling, with dozens of iterations.
Also included is a set of designed impacts that use the source material to create a set of larger than life impacts that can easily be spotted in for quick coverage of tackles, hits, and line of scrimmage snaps.
Over 20 minutes of edited football foley is included here, and all of it is beautiful.
