Recording of a Japanese 1973 Datsun Fairlady 240z with a 2.8L, 6-cylinder engine modified with MSA 6 to 1 headers and 2.5” JDM exhaust.
The Datsun Fairlady 240z sound fx collection gathers 256 clips totalling 16.52 gigabytes of audio. Also known as the Nissan Fairlady, this bundle showcases the sound of a 1973 version of the Japanese car and its 2.8L, 6-cylinder engine modified with MSA 6 to 1 headers and 2.5” JDM exhaust.
A total of 32 tandem channels share both onboard and exterior perspectives. The 8 exterior perspectives detail departures, arrivals, and passes at slow, medium, and fast speeds from four positions as well as idles, start ups, and shut downs. The 10 onboard perspectives position microphones in the interior (as well as an Ambisonic perspective), the engine, and at the exhaust to record steady driving, ramps, and gearshifts. Also included are custom mixes of the interior perspectives as well as performed sound effects of doors, horns, seatbelts, and others.
The collection is packaged with Pro Tools and Reaper mixing sessions, 18+ fields of embedded metadata, and metadata keyword translations in 7 languages.
