Version 1.0 of the library features extensive recordings from Senegal and Ethiopia plus a few from South Africa.
The library will soon be updated with recordings from other countries, all free for existing owners.
Some of the included takes were recorded with the Sennheiser Double Mid-Side rig and are available both as Stereo and Surround. In places where a big recording rig would have attracted unwanted attention I used the Sony PCM D100 which is much less conspicuous. As a consequence however, these recordings are only available as Stereo (labeled STEREO ONLY).

This is a fantastic library with many useful sounds.
The quality is incredible, and the variety of locations and distances from the people makes it a great tool to have in the arsenal for African ambiance.
And I loved the addition of some countryside recordings without any audible humans.
