Perfect for horror, post-apocalyptic and action genres. Designed to be used in hyper realistic scenarios. Great for layering to vehicle and aircraft crashes, metal buildings and structures collapse.
This Sound Library is a part of the Slava Pogorelsky – Complete Bundle.
WHAT SOUND PROFESSIONALS SAY:
Victor Mercader – AAA Sound Designer (Apex Legends)
“I find myself continuously using Slava’s SFX libraries to blend it’s pristine and detailed sound designs into my own sounds. They always add that cutting edge I am missing and make my sound designs more unique and pristine.”
Enos Desjardins – Sound Designer/Sound Effects Editor (Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning, Black Mirror)
“Slava has been creating some really cool libraries which I find myself using time and again. Really high quality recordings to start with but then the cool processing he has used for example in his cinematic whoosh libraries really stand out. They are not just your standard generic whoosh sounds but are loaded with character and have a unique feel to them that is really fresh and cuts through in the nicest of ways.”
Bjørn Jacobsen – AAA Sound Designer (CyberPunk 2077, HITMAN, DARQ)
“Slava has for several years made high quality sound effects for me to play with. I use his sound libraries across multiple projects as lego blocks of my creations.”
Ginno Legaspi – SoundBytes Music Magazine
“Sound-wise, the quality of ‘Cinematic Metal Whooshes’ is clear and punchy, and very consistent from start to finish. The whole content promises to be a tool to get you going in your cinematic adventures – and it delivers.”
Yarron Katz – AAA Composer and Sound Designer
“Slava makes some wonderful libraries. He’s relatively new on the scene and his libraries have come to critical acclaim. He takes some general ideas, like whooshes and he injects some extremely revolutionary and innovative ideas to them, so you’re not getting another whoosh library – you’re getting something very unique, very fresh. He brings some wonderful ideas to the table.”

Library Review:
“RT Sonics’ Nuances of Fear library has some very innovative and detailed sounds that I find myself returning to again and again when I need some inventive elements and unique detail. Nuances of Fear is definitely one of my favorite horror libraries. Great work, guys!”

Jump scares, Distorted SFX, Scary Resonances, Bowed Metal and Glass, Ominous Stingers, Distorted Screams, Metal Scrapes, Ghost Whispers, Psycho Stutters, Dark Magic, Reverses, Transitions, Scary Atmospheres, Psychological Drones, Pulses, Evil Vocal Growls, Granular Textures and much more
This flamboyant and diverse library is a collection of recordings of air flows, leaks, bursts, plops, hisses, wooshes, suctions and blows.
I started recording these noises when I needed a basis for a magic spell sound and then realized that the sounds also work very well as a layer in fly bys (or all kind of pass bys), weapons / bullets and other sci fi elements like doors & machines. And of course you can use the sounds for the objects that emitted them.
A lot of objects were recorded that first come on everyones mind, like canned air / co2, bicycle pumps, boat pumps and the opening of soda bottles. But also more exceptional products were captured, like a fog machine, syringes, medical nebulator / inhaler and more. I also recorded quite a lot of vents, fans, hvac and some more tonal whistles or water boilers like the famous Alessi.
There are also air releases into water, so a lot of wet textures, spray paint, desinfection spray ( and all kind of plastic bottles with various sealing caps and and and.
One of my favourite sounds in this collection is a malfunctioning garden hose. Air flow leaked through a tiny hole and depending on the pressure my hand put on the ventile different tones and sounds occured.
The selection offers everything from very short, to medium long sounds, loops and long air releases.
Most sounds were recorded from multiple mic perspectives. While the directional mics deliver clean direct sounds, omnidirectional Eartworks QTC50 capture high frequency sounds up to above 80kHz, that invite to pitch or slow down the sounds and create otherworldy atmospheres or woosh sounds. Some sounds were also recorded underwater with an ASF1 hydrophone.
The naming structure is UCS compliant.

Motion Texures is a broad library with a narrow purpose: to draw sonic lines and create gently moving sonic textures.
The concept is that consistent sound of friction will translate well to visual design elements that have CG and text movement on screen.
We recorded the friction sounds of dozens of small to medium sized props in constant motion. Major categories include metal, plastic, cloth, wood and skin. Some of the most interesting sounds came from the props that had small cavities such as the spray can lid and the water bottle. The constant changing of the cavity state relative to the mics creates strange vocal sounds.
Once the sounds were recorded we employed a proprietary smoothing process as a second pass to the sounds and provided them in addition to the original textures. These smoothed out sounds still have the organic quality of the original recordings, but with far fewer transient events. The end result are sounds that feel straighter than the more circular sounding original textures.
Inside of the Kontakt instruments we stacked layers and effects to create a broad base of deep and interesting textures. Many of the Kontakt presets mangle the sounds far beyond recognition of the original recordings.
ASTRAL is defined as “relating to a supposed non-physical realm of existence to which various psychic and paranormal phenomena are ascribed, and in which the physical human body is said to have a counterpart.”

This library is quite self explanatory, ” Planes – Takeoffs & Landings ” is a collection of various commercial jets taking off and landing on a runway.
We recorded as close as possible to the airport fences with a multi microphones setup giving you different sonic perspectives.
The “Source” folder contains 130 files corresponding to 34 different recordings :
– AB stereo (LOM Usi)
– Cinela LCR array (Sennheiser MKH8040 ORTF + MKH8050 Center)
– a shotgun mic following the plane (Neumann KMR81)
The “ Designed” folder contains 46 files / 28 processed sounds such as fast jet fly by or sonic boom.

‘Warped Choir’ is the latest state-of-the-art sound effects library from U.S.O. which continues to cross the border between music and sound design.
Warped Choir provides a wide range of meticulously crafted stereo and 5.1 surround sound elements ready to be pumped in your trailer, video game or other audiovisual projects.
Warped Choir contains more than 200 massive dynamic impacts, transitions, soundscapes, epic vocal rises and whooshes, all designed from scratch using a choir concert recording as the unique waveform source in the Symbolic Sound Kyma workstation (many thanks to La Coral Salvé – Laredo, Cantabria | www.coralsalve.com).
When it comes to creating new musical ideas, video and sound editors, sound designers, but also composers, can find inspiration in this intriguing must-have collection.
Get the pass-by sounds of unclassifiable objects, with a natural aspect and texture. They can be easily added into a natural, sci-fi, historical or fantasy world setting.
The source objects are items like toasters, gloves, paper, pipes, small motors, voices, an iron bowl, a garden hose, plastic sheets, air pumps, sticks, trolleys, ratchets. The elements are wind, water, underwater. The textures are plastic, metal and wood.
Unknown Pass-By contains fast, med, slow pass bys (from left to right). Both small and large objects are included, and the library is excellent for setting your sound design imagination free.
The LAX Aircraft library features descending aircraft flyovers at Los Angeles International Airport. One advantage of LAX is that it’s nestled in the city, making it easy to stand directly under very low flying airplanes to capture a great sound.
A range of aircraft was recorded for this release, including the Airbus A330, Boeing 737, 747, and Bombardier 800.
Two different microphone positions were used: One facing the oncoming aircraft, and the other pointing in the opposite direction to capture the flyover and further decent as the aircraft lands.
Esoteric Texture is a unique collection of abstract and evocative textures created entirely from real recordings. It provides a more tangible, visceral palette than the glossy sound we know and love from Hollywood.
From deep searing sweeps to delicate insect-like grains, strange tonalities and abstract motion, the rugged physicality of this collection gives you something a little bit different. Great for layering into design sequences to add some detail and edge.
Most files are continuous textures, but many also have singles/one-shots for ease of editing. All files are meta-tagged.
“The Transition” is a collection of 127 Transition Sound Effects (Wav, 24 Bit / 96 kHz) aimed to enhance atmospheres, create movement and enrich musical compositions.
The sounds have a very futuristic and powerful feeling and for that reason are great for Sci-fi productions (trailers, movies, games).
Special attention was put in the dynamics to ensure the creation of a set of sounds with energy and adaptability.
Categories included:Experimental • Fast • Flanger • Glitch • Mystery • Reverse • Sci-fi • Tremolo
This library was created to provide designers with drag and drop sounds for sweeps, fades, surges, swells, and other embellishments. Each of the sounds in this collection were designed to be used to heighten events, but they can be mashed, stacked, and chopped to create all sorts of eclectic designs. There are plays on musical concepts as well as thematic events, with each sound purposefully building up, culminating in a peak moment, and then dissipating in some way. They are organized into 100 families (designs) with 5 variations each, ranging wildly in topic, movement, duration, dynamics, attack, release, loudness, density, and speed. Some are natural and organic while others are completely rigid and synthetic (and some fall variably in between).
If you need to festoon the heck out of a scene or event in your project…If you need some complex SFX designs craftily layered and ready-to-go…If you need a diverse set of easy-to-tweak, overflowing sonic enrichment, then look no further. You’ve found it.
The Impact Collection is a library of 304 impacts, whooshes, swells, static, rises and zaps all designed with Trailers and Promos in mind.
These sounds were designed using anything I could hit, bang, rumble and smash. In the process I destroyed a couple tools and put a healthy dent in a spare refrigerator, not to mention the smashing of dozens of plates as well as my neighbor’s leftover ceramic tiles.
After recording all of my source material I got to work on building pre-made impacts in various ways as well as adding a healthy dose of plug-in abuse. My Genelecs may never be the same! Thanks for listening.

With A Sound Effect, Asbjoern has created a web site where our international community can browse, learn, and share the vast fruits of our labors. Together we are accelerating the very real potential power of sound design as a recognized art form.
A Sound Effect is an excellent resource for us to keep our animated films sounding unique and exciting.
A Sound Effect is a great asset to have discovered.
We found the site very easy to navigate, purchasing and downloads were effortless and the effects themselves are awesome! Asbjoern has done us all a great service.
We’ll definitely be back!
There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
We're always looking for new sounds to mangle, so when A Sound Effect had a holiday sale, I tried them out.
The purchase experience is really smooth and quick, and delivery is almost instant.
I'll definitely come back to them again in the future!
A Sound Effect is a wonderful resource for indie sound effects libraries. On top of that, it has some of the finest sound design, film and game audio interviews!
I often need very specific types of sounds so I've become a big supporter of independent recorders.
Until now I've always had to go to their individual websites. Now I can find them all in one place.
And, Asbjoern is great to work with!
A Sound Effect is a well curated boutique sound effects shop and a great place to find industry interviews and learning resources.
