Home Weapon Sound Effects Page 14
Weapon sound effects from all sorts of weapons – from recorded guns and rifles, to swords, designed futuristic lasers, explosives and much more
From the ashes of a Wurlitzer baby grand piano, we bring you a unique sample library for media sound design. Perfect for suspense and horror in films and games. Surprisingly good at emulating distant artillery hits and other destruction. Crunches. Bangs. Metal scrapes. Wood shattered. Strings scraped with saws and performed with sledgehammers…Â not felt.
119 stereo one-shots of the acoustic dismantling. 77 crafted soundscapes and designed effects crafted from processing the original sounds. And… a playable Kontakt patch of unusual and slightly out of tune string plucks with multiple round robins for natural variation (delivered at 48kHz for memory optimization). All recorded in stereo using Schoeps microphones arranged in mid-side stereo technique. Edited and tagged with UCS metadata for fast and clear search results.
Kontakt 6.8.0 or higher is required. NOTE: This library does not run in the free ‘Kontakt Player’

AUDIO SUMMONERS
This sound library is a collection of pistols & sidearms from Europe that were recorded at an outdoor shooting range in Sweden in August of 2024.
This library contains the fired set of vintage handguns from Germany and Italy (delivered at 96 kHz sample rate), which consists of: Smith & Wesson 66 Revolver, Luger P08, Walther GSP, Walther PP, and Beretta 92F. These sounds have been captured with the Audio-Technica AT2020 and the Shure SM57 microphones.
It also contains a set of foley actions that have been performed and recorded with the same weapons as well as the Swedish Mauser 1938, a German Geco shotgun, and the Swedish AG42B Ljungman automatic rifle. These sounds have been captured with the EM258 ultrasonic microphone by Micbooster (delivered at 192 kHz sample rate).
The weapon shots are provided in stereo, while foley elements are mono files. Some recordings have been provided in polywav format in situations where various perspectives of the weapons firing were captured at the same time.
Thank you for checking out my library! I hope you enjoy working with these sounds as much as I enjoyed capturing and creating them. Attribution is always appreciated, but is not a requirement.
Hello Creators!
Here’s my new pack: “Sword Combat Sounds (weapons)“
The approach for this pack was to create some realistic sword sounds suitable for combats for RPG/Fantasy video games (although this sounds can be used in different other genres and other audiovisual creations.
In this pack there is different actions a sword can make like: slash, cut, armour hit, block, collision, critical hit, wounds, whooshes,  hits to shields, etc…
I hope you enjoy implementing this sounds in your project!

Soon I will upload the making-off video.
Some considerations
1. Keep in mind this sounds can be used in a variety of situations, I put a name to the SFX but this doesn’t mean it can’t be used in other contexts.

Realistic and non-realistic (Sci-Fi) explosions, along with imaginative accompanying material such as after-blast ear ringing, fire loops, bomb timers, machinery destruction sound effects, and more. Dry and ready for any environment of your choice. The goal when creating this pack was to go beyond what explosion packs usually offer. We have included some great additions to the standard explosion sounds.
These come in multiple flavors and offer the flexibility to choose the type of debris that matches your idea. Some of the explosions are also designed to have a bit of ricochet sound in them which is desired for certain scenarios.
Made for projects that do not require realism, just some unique explosion sounds. Great for sci-fi and puzzle games for example. We also included a few retro 8bit explosion designs into this category.
Not quite realistic, but not unrealistic too! Generic all-around explosions for a variety of projects. Where there are multiple variations of an explosion like for ‘Basic (variation 1 to 4)’ it means it can be adjusted to randomly select from the 4 variations in order to provide a better experience for the gamers, especially if the sound is used a lot.
Here is where the cool stuff can be found. These ideas go hand in hand with explosions and can spice up your game.
‘Shoot ‘em up’ has never been this exciting! From powerful laser and plasma blasts, to specialised sounds such as fire, rain and laser circles, Sci-Fi Weapons: Bullet Hell adds intensity to virtual battles. With our trusty Vaemi’s El-Ma electromagnetic field mic, we’ve captured some wild electronic shenanigans, blending them with our synthetic sounds to cook up weapon effects that’ll make your players go, “Whoa!”
Illumination Designed Vol. 3Â is a collection of unique sci-fi themed explosions, designed using the electromagnetic signals from various light sources.
Our Audio Craftsmen used a Lite2Sound photodiode amplifier to capture signals from a variety of light sources, such as; Dimmable room lights, RGB lights, Fairy lights, an oscilloscope screen, and many more. These sounds were then meticulously edited and manipulated in a variety of ways, including synthesis, to create a series of futuristic, hi-tech explosions.
This library is a perfect addition to Film, TV & Game trailers, or productions with a cyberpunk, experimental or abstract edge. Use these sounds in sci-fi, thriller and action projects to inject larger than life, futuristic textures into your sound design.
All sounds are delivered in 24Bit 96kHz format allowing further sonic manipulation and have been meticulously edited and tagged with extensive UCS compliant metadata for ease of use.
This is the second volume of a four-part sample library dedicated to the natural elements: fire, air, water, and earth. This SFX collection focuses on the first fundamental element — fire — capturing all the energy and inherent violence of its nature. It contains a year’s worth of meticulously reworked recordings, designed to ensure the most natural and immersive sound experience possible.
With A Sound Effect, Asbjoern has created a web site where our international community can browse, learn, and share the vast fruits of our labors. Together we are accelerating the very real potential power of sound design as a recognized art form.
A Sound Effect is an excellent resource for us to keep our animated films sounding unique and exciting.
A Sound Effect is a great asset to have discovered.
We found the site very easy to navigate, purchasing and downloads were effortless and the effects themselves are awesome! Asbjoern has done us all a great service.
We’ll definitely be back!
There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
We're always looking for new sounds to mangle, so when A Sound Effect had a holiday sale, I tried them out.
The purchase experience is really smooth and quick, and delivery is almost instant.
I'll definitely come back to them again in the future!
A Sound Effect is a wonderful resource for indie sound effects libraries. On top of that, it has some of the finest sound design, film and game audio interviews!
I often need very specific types of sounds so I've become a big supporter of independent recorders.
Until now I've always had to go to their individual websites. Now I can find them all in one place.
And, Asbjoern is great to work with!
A Sound Effect is a well curated boutique sound effects shop and a great place to find industry interviews and learning resources.
