Recording of a .45cal M1928A1 Thompson submachine gun from World War II, consists of about 20 channels and distances from 0 to 300 meters. Firing includes single shots, double shots, bursts of various lengths and wild foley.
Antique Rifles is a comprehensive selection of historic long barrel black powder firearms. This library features heavy weight military and civilian weapons commonly used throughout the 1800s into the mid 1900s.
The coach gun, known as the cut-down shotgun, was made famous in the American Wild West by historical figures like Wyatt Earp and Doc Holiday. Coach Guns were also used on stage coaches by shotgun messengers and were commonplace amongst homestead farmers, landowners and outlaws alike.
The Enfield 1861 Artillery Carbine with smooth bore barrel was a popular weapon during the mid 1800s with military forces in Europe and America. Enfield carbine rifles were used extensively in the American civil war.
The black powder hammer gun is manufactured by legendary gunsmiths Westley Richards. This 1864 design of breech loading shotgun was instrumental to the advancement of firearms in the 19th century.
The 1872 Snider Enfield .577 rifle was favoured by the British army and used in the Zulu war of 1879. The Snider Enfield was also used by the British Indian army until the end of the 19th century.
This library features 29 channel HD recordings, spread over a 500m private gun range. The recordings have been provided without dynamic processing at 96KHz 24bit, a selection of range recordings are also included at 192KHz 24bit. The 5.1 recordings give an excellent sense of depth and space across the 500m range as each of the shots are fired. Stereo and mono microphone positions add further detail, spread out at various distances between 1-50m away from the shooter. The collection features designed and mixed sound effects from black powder antique rifles alongside all of the original recordings used. In addition to a full workup and mixed sound set of these antique firearms, the library also includes a further extension to the Foley with recordings from a San Cristobal Americana and Valmet Sako rifles. A Pro Tools session is included that takes all the effort out of arranging the content for mixing. You can drop in your own routing, processing and mixing touches according to taste and quickly establish a new sound set for the picture or video game you are working with.

Library of a Saiga SR-1, 5.56x45mm semi-automatic rifle manufactured by the Kalashnikov Concern (formerly Izhmash). This variant of the AK-107 for the civilian market features a rotating bolt and two counter-rotating gas pistons to reduce recoil.
Using a large array of various microphone configurations, we recorded shots from several distances in an open shooting range near Warsaw. We then moved to our studio to capture an extensive range of foley, including mag in and out, chamber cycles, selector switches, trigger actions and more.
This library also comes with carefully designed assets in stereo and 5.1, created from our raw files. It includes powerful shots, 3 meticulously crafted types of tails (Wide, Urban and Interior) and punchy foleys.
Multiple mic perspectives
The raw shots feature a total of 16 recording positions, from shooter perspective up to 80 meters, with a total of 25 channels. Among these you will find high SPL microphones attached to the weapons for mech sounds, CO-100k for ultrasonic content, large-diaphragm microphone close to the ground for punchy low ends, ambisonic perspective and much more! We also recorded the foley with multiple microphones, including a CO-100k for drastic pitch changes.
Designed and Game Ready assets

Introducing our sound library of a SF19 4.5″ TB OSP, a cal. 9x19mm semi-automatic pistol manufactured by HS Produkt. This modernized and improved version of the popular XDM handgun features a polymer frame, 19 rounds magazine, forged slide and hammer forged barrel.
Using a large array of various microphone configurations, we recorded shots from several distances both with and without silencer. We then moved to our studio to capture an extensive range of foley, including mag in and out, chamber cycles, selector switches, suppressor, trigger actions and more.

Here in its civilian version, the Tigr-SVD from Izhmash is a semi-automatic sniper rifle chambered in 7.62×54 R, with a detachable 10-round magazine. Developed in the 60s, the SVD has become the standard squad support weapon of several countries’ military.

A library of Lynx 50 sniper rifle sound effects including 23 perspective of gunfire, as well as performed effects.
The Lynx 50 sniper rifle sound effects library includes 189 clips in 3.27 gigabytes of audio. It showcases the sound of a Finnish mod. 50 rifle made by Pirkan Ase Oy using 50 BMG Ammunition with A-MAX bullet and a high ballistic coefficient 1.050, made by Hornady.
The collection includes 2 takes of firing with 23 mono, stereo, Ambisonic AmbiX, and multichannel microphones from nearby up to 160 meters away. The sound library features performed effects of magazine handling, reloading, and more.

This sound library is a collection of pistols & sidearms from Europe that were recorded at an outdoor shooting range in Sweden in August of 2024.
This library contains the fired set of vintage handguns from Germany and Italy (delivered at 96 kHz sample rate), which consists of: Smith & Wesson 66 Revolver, Luger P08, Walther GSP, Walther PP, and Beretta 92F. These sounds have been captured with the Audio-Technica AT2020 and the Shure SM57 microphones.
It also contains a set of foley actions that have been performed and recorded with the same weapons as well as the Swedish Mauser 1938, a German Geco shotgun, and the Swedish AG42B Ljungman automatic rifle. These sounds have been captured with the EM258 ultrasonic microphone by Micbooster (delivered at 192 kHz sample rate).
The weapon shots are provided in stereo, while foley elements are mono files. Some recordings have been provided in polywav format in situations where various perspectives of the weapons firing were captured at the same time.

There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
