Vehicle sound effects and recordings – cars, helicopters, motorcycles, airplanes, ships, trains and sci-fi
This sound pack of the WWII Willys Jeep will bring historical accuracy to your soundscape. You get four channels with all the characteristics of the vehicle from the cockpit left, right and rear and the exhaust. Also contained in this seven and a half minute recording is the vehicle starting, stopping, idling, driving, free revving, gear sounds and more. Few vehicles are more iconic from the WWII era!
The WORLD WAR 2 TANKS sound effects library delivers a gigantic arsenal of tank sounds, recorded in collaboration with Pole Position Productions (PPP) from Sweden.
You get 8 different tanks to be super-flexible in your military sound design environment. Each tank gives you driveby and onboard maneuvers. The onboard recordings are multi-channel recordings (4x stereo) that enable you to perfectly mix the sounds as you wish.
For example: your interior scene sounds good but you need some more mechanical chain sound? Simply boost the “Tracks” channel in your mix and you're set. You're totally free to give your tank the character it needs.
Whether it's a heavily damaged and slow tank or some massive crawling beasts that will – once at full speed – flatten everything that crosses their way. You're in full control with this SFX library. But there's more. Besides driveby and multi-channel driving sounds, we added some handling sounds and – you'll especially love them – a fine selection of incredible cannon shots.
Included are more than 400 files in more than 27GB of data. All files contain extensive metadata to provide you with the fastest and easiest workflow possible.

WW2 Aircraft is a collection of recordings of rare World War 2 aircraft. It features icons such as the Supermarine Spitfire, Bucker Bu-131 Jungmann, North American P-51 Mustang, Curtiss P-40 Warhawk, Grumman F8F Bearcat and others. The library consists of 59 recordings ranging from 13 seconds to over 10 minutes in length. The sounds have been recorded with the Sennheiser MKH416, MKH8040 and the Sony PCM D100.
The library covers exterior flybys from slow to very fast, aircraft taxiing by, engines starting up, idling, revving, stopping and a few takeoffs. It also includes an on-board recording of a Bucker Bu-131 biplane as it starts up, taxies, takes off, flies, lands and then stops. The planes have been recorded at a variety of distances, from close to relatively far away. As an added bonus, one of the P-51 Mustangs recorded had had its guns removed, which caused an awesome whistling sound every time it swooped down at a certain angle.
Get the sounds of a Yamaha 24MX 125 cc dirtbike – featuring onboard and exterior recordings.
The recording consists of 11 channels, two exhaust, driver back, chain, two engine, intake and 4 synced exterior channels, left, right, surround and following shotgun. It contains several start, stop, idle, blips, revving at constant rpms without gear, various accelerations and decelerations, driving while braking to get even rpms etc.
Driver back channel is missing for the first startup, and chain channel suffers from bad contact last startup, but we decided to keep those in since they still contain many useful parts. The recording length is 19 min 3 s.

There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
We're always looking for new sounds to mangle, so when A Sound Effect had a holiday sale, I tried them out.
The purchase experience is really smooth and quick, and delivery is almost instant.
I'll definitely come back to them again in the future!

I often need very specific types of sounds so I've become a big supporter of independent recorders.
Until now I've always had to go to their individual websites. Now I can find them all in one place.
And, Asbjoern is great to work with!
