Sound effects libraries organized into genres such as sci-fi, horror, comedy, game packs and more
Dark Materials is a SFX library dedicated to horror sound effects. It comes with a big collection of crunching, breaking, twisting bones and juicy impacts – more than 770 sounds are included in total!
Are you looking for a dark-sounding user interface sound library? Something that calls back to movies like Prometheus or Oblivion? Then look no further. This library is made for sci-fi films and games, with its futuristic loops, drones, transitions, buttons, glitches and plenty more. These are the sounds that can flesh out the advanced technology in your spacecraft's cabin as it wanders deep in the outer limits of the universe.
SciFi Drones is a composite collection of very disturbing and scary futuristic spaceship ambiences, Sci-Fi Drones and organic, surreal alien-atmospheres.
Each drone is 2 minutes long, with very versatile variations in each file. And whether it comes to futuristic horror settings, abandoned sci-fi corridors, large spaceship halls, haunted basements or open space in an alien galaxy, this will set the right tone.
Fantastic for any sci-fi project – and will also set the tone equally well for other disturbing cyberpunk projects and scary industrial spaces.
This library is a hybrid-production; A symbiosis of organic original field-recordings like Room Tones, Construction Sites, Traffic, Zoo-Animals, Motors and synthetic elements. Lot’s of spectral and granular synthesis. And lots of sound designing, of course.
In this Kit all “Dark SciFi Drones” were carefully split in logical frequency Layers. So you have better control and you can do your own mix of these elements.
Also you can combine and mix the different layers across the ambiences by drag&drop to create nearly endless variations. Or easily do creative up-mixes to surround.
The duration of each Drone is 1:00 minute with very versatile variations in each file.
Use the layers in “Playlists” (Pro Tools) or “Track Versions” (Nuendo) for best flexibility and easy access.
Each layer of the same Drone is named after the Drone plus a letter for the layer. Starting at “A” (low frequency)…
Each Drone is separated in 2-5 layers.
Dark Seals is a unique collection of close up, expressive seal vocalisations. It includes everything from aggressive growls, funny gargles, snapping snarls, howling wails & disgusting snorts and slobbers.
Recorded on location in Namibia and the United Kingdom, the library consists of many incredibly up-n-close recordings of individual seals, both adults and pups. The close proximity and large variety in vocal ranges between adults and pups makes this material highly malleable and perfect source for creature sound design. Check the demo to hear examples of these sounds playing at half speed.
The files are organised per individual seal and often carry on for minutes with continuous vocalisations, resulting in many variations of a similar type of call. The content is therefore very suitable for game audio design.
Besides individual seals, there are also various recordings of a huge colony of Cape Fur Seals. These will come in useful when designing sounds of creature hordes.
Featuring over 100 high-quality drones and pads, this sound library evokes unsettling and gloomy feelings – perfect to create spooky atmospheres and tension building soundscapes for your project.
This package contains layers of mallets, strings, metals, glasses, synthetic and bass sounds, giving your audience the creeps.
Drones & Pads – Creepy, Spooky, Horror, Mysterious
‘Dark World’ is a collection of 50 drones and moods (250 mins +) that explore ideas of designed spaces.
Blurring the lines between score and sound design, ‘Dark World’ combines sound effects and musical instruments to create tense, beautiful and eerie moods. Made for composers and sound designers and ideal for surround sound placement.
DARKSCAPES is a collection of 30, seamlessly looping, dark, horror-inducing soundscapes and ambiences with total run time of 35 minutes.
All sound effects have been created using real field recordings in order to add organic feel to them and trick your brain into
perceiving them as something realistic and later edited with top of a line outboard and plugins to add dark, horror-inducing depth to them.

Databending: A digital art form where flaws in digital systems are exploited and used for creative purposes.
Data Disruption contains 200 sounds sourced from raw computer files which have been interpreted as audio data. Bitmaps, executables, plugin files and more have been exploited to bring you a unique, varied collection of sound effects and atmospheres ready for a range of productions.
This sound collection has 100 'raw' files which include harsh, random data noises, intense drones and a versatile selection of glitch one shots as well as 100 processed sounds which were subject to extreme editing and mangling to deliver an array of abstract sonic artefacts.
Most useful for scenarios where computer technology – known or otherwise – is glitching out, these sounds are best suited to Science Fiction productions which call for the noise of broken communications, signal failures, ailing machines, industrial settings, planetary ambience and dystopian soundworlds.
That's not to say they won't also come in handy for Glitch/IDM music producers looking to build up an original collection of sounds for their latest kit, or for the creative sound designer to further shape these sounds into anything from user interface clicks, blips and bleeps to surreal soundscapes and beyond.
Data Processing is a sound effects library that emulates the movement of data and adds digital texture to your sound design.
Use these effects as building blocks to build digital, robotic, harsh, abstract and glitchy sound design or music. Also great as user interface elements.
We recorded and designed data transfer from 5G, WIFI, Solid State Drives, USB-C and more, as well as using analogue synthesizers, guitar pedals and raw data files to enhance the library.

Digital Dust delivers 128 tracks of pure digital bit-crushing distortion, deep atmospheric drones, and ear-piercing interface sounds.
Digital Dust is not your usual clean and modern computer command sound effects library. All sounds have been designed from real world electrical or organic recorded sounds.
Granulated, stretched, pitched and mangled in endless chains of plugins and hardware, for very different and almost apocalyptic kinds of rogue computer command sounds. The samples can easily be stretched or processed even more, for even weirder sound fx.
A sound library of the digital electronic world of 1s and 0s created from digital sources.
Sounds include glitch, static, snaps, pops, interference, signal malfunction, dropouts, data transmissions, unreferenced issues, bad clocking or incorrect timing effect and pitch/time manipulation.
Captured as found or created from any digital format device including computers, software, hardware interfaces, optical and coaxial streams, file-based, mobile devices, streaming media, digital synthesizers, and samplers.
All sourced from the output jacks and speakers from the digital devices as well as broadcast facilities, transmission sites, data paths, wifi, and cellular data.
The files have been normally left raw with its range of frequencies and dynamics, but have been normalized so be careful and check your volume level!
Great for those moments needing an emanation from a digital electronic device, glitchy transitions, data transmissions and clock timing for tech, sci-fi, horror, and dystopia or creating electronic beats and ambient drone material.

There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
We're always looking for new sounds to mangle, so when A Sound Effect had a holiday sale, I tried them out.
The purchase experience is really smooth and quick, and delivery is almost instant.
I'll definitely come back to them again in the future!
A Sound Effect is a wonderful resource for indie sound effects libraries. On top of that, it has some of the finest sound design, film and game audio interviews!
I often need very specific types of sounds so I've become a big supporter of independent recorders.
Until now I've always had to go to their individual websites. Now I can find them all in one place.
And, Asbjoern is great to work with!
A Sound Effect is a well curated boutique sound effects shop and a great place to find industry interviews and learning resources.
