A meditation on the most versatile audio tool with which we are biologically equipped, we have carefully crafted this collection of mouth noises to provide you with highly dynamic and almost unpredictable organic audio fare. However, we tried to explore less conventional noises and specifically avoided the usual burps, coughs, throat clears, etc. Captured from a single male voice actor, this collection includes squishy spurts, saliva smacks, guttural loops, pops, clicks, cracks, inhales, exhales, and air bursts.
A particular part of this library is the intentional use of creating soft distortion from moving air over the mic membranes in specific ways. This helped add low end and saturated elements to many of the sounds. The wide spectral coverage of this library makes it easy to blend many of the sounds together to achieve some truly diffused but balanced soundscapes. Don’t try to tame this library, unleash it! We've successfully used these in explosions, engine layers, organic rummaging, shots, ambient clouds, UI, and more. Enjoy!
MOVES is a collection of character foley clothing and gear movements that cover a large range of characters such as Special Forces, Medieval Soldier, World War Soldier, Policeman, and High-tech Soldier among many others.
MOVES will make a great addition to your sonic arsenal and help you achieve that personal character sound that you have in your head. MOVES does not replace a Veteran Foley artist, but will come in handy if you have a restricted budget or if you need a good sound to enhance the movements of your characters.
You get several walks, runs and stop movements for every type of character.
To speed up your workflow, the library comes with two versions of the same content, tailored for people working either in the Video Game or the Cinema industry:
• Video Game Workflow: For every variation, you will have a single wav file, making it ideal for people who like to have every sound already cut and ready to be used in their DAW or middleware. It consists of 772 sounds.
• Cinema Workflow You will find several variations of the sounds in single wav files here. It consists of 151 wav files sounds.
And as mentioned, both versions are included, so you can pick whatever works best for your way of working.
As always, all sounds are embedded with useful Soundminer metadata. I really hope you will find this collection inspiring and useful in your future projects.
Have a great day designing your new characters with MOVES!
Best wishes,
Michel Marchant.

Odd is a small collection of effects originally created for a project revolving around quick, organic glitched visuals. The library is divided into four categories – Reverses, Texture and Noise, Synthesized Elements and general Oddities. Odd is perfect for adding a bit of strange or weird to your design. Something like a 'what was that?' library. Go nuts.
What is Odds and Ends?
Let me soothe your worried mind with a short concise explanation:
Odds and Ends is basically a general SFX library, but smaller. Most general libraries total up to about 100gb or more, whereas this is a lot of the same material, but aimed to supplement your already existing library.
Odds and Ends contains a variety of ambiances, studio foley, and unique one off recordings that couldn't be expanded into a full library; for instance recordings of a baby alligator chirping, or a small collection of submarine ambiances.
On that note, one of the most extensive portions of the library are 8gb of various stereo ambiances. Due to how much I traveled during the production of this library, I’ve covered quite a few locations, from the Pacific NW to the Deep South.
Take a look through the metadata sheet provided below, and give the demo a listen.
Office Space is an extensive and the go-to collection for clean and constant office environment room tones and ambiences. The library has over 6 hours / 11.7 GB worth of material that covers a whole large modern office building from top to bottom. The length of each room tone is 3 minutes and all the room tones are calibrated to -30 LUFS.
Office Space was recorded with a custom designed very low self-noise (4.5 dB) ORTF rig that gives you only the noise of the room and minimal noise from the recording equipment itself.
The huge variety in the sounds of the room tones gives you a great palette to experiment with various sound design tools so you can create e.g. spaceship ambiences, drones and otherworldly textures.
You get the sounds in two formats: 96 kHz, 24 bit and in 44.1 KHz, 16 bit, for more convenient ways of utilizing the sounds in games and other media.

From creating the breath of a behemoth, to the palpable aura of an ambiance, this is a plethora of contact mic goodness providing you with frequency-deep content for layering, embellishing, bolstering, and new sound creation.
Contact mics are delicate creatures. They can give you insights into the most excitable yet unheard facets of a soundscape, and then almost immediately get destroyed by the slightest of impacts. We're just going to forget about how many incredible captures were thrown out of the running for this library due to such slight disruptions, and instead focus on the positive: this is a huge collection of super flexible, totally malleable sounds. One of our favorite libraries to make because it satisfied the inner tinkerer's ear, Outward Inversion is our microscope applied to the aural world.
A collection of eerie synthesized tones, ominous drones, abstract textures and ghostly vocals ready to add a whole new dimension to your horror projects. Inject a sense of fear, dread, despair, tension or some spooky ambience to your scene to get the audience on the edge of their seat with sounds ranging from low-end elements to piercing, high frequency noise outbursts.
Whether you are working on a full-scale scarefest film production, adding background atmospheres to a paranormal reality television series or documentary, soundtracking a gore-laden video game or need some sinister textures for a musical piece with a dark theme, this diverse collection of sounds is sure to have something to suit your project.
We've included 63 raw vocal files from our voice actor talents, exactly as they were recorded and with no processing, as an exclusive bonus for A Sound Effect customers. These can be used as they are, or even better, put through your favourite effect processors to conjure up your own ghostly creations!

KLAP Sound took a piano and tortured it, dismembered it and finally destroyed it—and recorded the whole process. For the making of this library, they used several tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, knives, and saws, as well as props like dirt, send, gravel, forks and other sharp objects. The results are raw sounds of foley with musical rings, harmonic tails and creepy vibes that are dry yet barely edited for your own enjoyment.

There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
We're always looking for new sounds to mangle, so when A Sound Effect had a holiday sale, I tried them out.
The purchase experience is really smooth and quick, and delivery is almost instant.
I'll definitely come back to them again in the future!
A Sound Effect is a wonderful resource for indie sound effects libraries. On top of that, it has some of the finest sound design, film and game audio interviews!
I often need very specific types of sounds so I've become a big supporter of independent recorders.
Until now I've always had to go to their individual websites. Now I can find them all in one place.
And, Asbjoern is great to work with!
A Sound Effect is a well curated boutique sound effects shop and a great place to find industry interviews and learning resources.
