    The Old Cash Registers Bundle – sound library

    This bundle gives you a large collection of high quality sounds from clunky mechanical antique cash registers from the early 1900s as well as an electric metal cash register from the 1970. Powerful source material for designing all sorts of mechanical machinery, user interface, creatures – or simply cash registers.
    Bonus: The bundle comes with two Kontakt instruments (requires full version of Kontakt 6) with several round robins and multiple microphone positions that be used to add mechanical rhythms to your music, or easily sync the sounds to pictures with MIDI notes.

    Clunky mechanical sounds from a collection of antique cash registers from the early 1900s

    Perfect source material for designing all sorts of odd mechanical machinery, steam punk inventions, UI sounds for points and money, or just actual cash registers in shopping scenes. ~420 sounds in 285 files.

    For creating this library we had to track down old cash registers in Denmark. We recorded them all with several high quality microphones from multiple perspectives – even with a lavalier microphone hidden inside the machine for super dry mechanical sounds and contact microphone attached to the back for beefy low end that can be mixed in to make your sounds feel heavier. We even added punchy ready-to-use detailed mixes of all the microphones.

    We experimented to explore all the sonic gems hiding in the machines. You’ll find sounds like the classic “money earned sound” from turning the clicking cranks and bell ring as the drawer opens, chunky mechanical sounds from pulling the levers and foley sounds from touching and handling the cash registers.

    The library has been tagged with extensive metadata and has been tested in Soundminer, Basehead, Soundly and Pro Sound Effects’ Search to make it easy to find the sounds you are looking for.

    The Antique Cash Registers library includes:

    – Chunky rolling lever pulls in various durations
    – The classic Ka-ching! sound from from turning the crank
    – Performed continous mechanical sounds, perfect for machinery or creatures
    – Opening and closing the wooden drawers – with and without money
    – Foley and impacts from handling the registers
    – Clicky mechaincal sounds from turning the cranks and smaller knobs inside the registers
    – Several microphones from different perspectives as well as a punchy ready-to-use detailed mixes of all the microphones
    – A Kontakt Instruments with several round robins and multiple microphone positions that be used to add mechanical rhythms to your music, or easily sync the sounds to pictures with MIDI notes

    We asked Katrine Amsler (Wolfenstein 2, Control) to play around with the library, and she came up with this beautiful haunting piece:

    Great source material for designing all sorts of odd mechanical insects, robot or machine movement, mechanical UI buttons or just actual cash registers in shopping scenes. ~270 sounds in 165 files.

    We recorded the cash register with high quality microphones from multiple perspectives – even with a lavalier microphone hidden inside the machine for super dry mechanical sounds and contact microphone attached to the back for beefy low end that can be mixed in to make your sounds feel heavier. We even added punchy ready-to-use detailed mixes of all the microphones. Recorded in a professional noise free recording studio, giving you the complete freedom to shape the sounds as you please

    We experimented to explore all the sonic gems hiding in the machine. You’ll find sounds of the electric number indicators rolling when pressing the payment button, creepy click-clacky insect-like movements, thin metallic movements and impacts and foley sounds from touching and handling the cash registers.

    The library has been tagged with extensive metadata and has been tested in Soundminer, Basehead, Soundly and Pro Sound Effects’ Search to make it easy to find the sounds you are looking for.


    The 70s Electric Cash Register library includes:

  • Car Sound Effects Renault Cargo Vans Bundle Play Track 600+ sounds included, 464 mins total $75

    This bundle was built with 4 different car libraries:

    Renault Master F3500:
    The Renault Master F3500 SFX library was recorded with two track Sound Devices 702 recorder. Foley was captured with mono Rode NTG3 microphone. The engine sound effects were recorded with two DPA-4061 omni microphones. Car was recorded during regular driving, accelerating, decelerating and more demanding way of driving with steady RPMs, slow accelerations and decelerations for game implementation. In addition to designed files, this library features RAW sounds pulled straight out of the recorder.

    In this 102 minutes long sound library (without RAW files) you will find 16 designed and 32 raw engine sounds recorded onboard, 26 pass by and engine exterior sounds, 17 foley files and 9 engine interior recorded inside vehicles cabin in sync with microphones under the hood.


    Renault Master II:
    The Renault Master II sound library was recorded with two track Sound Devices 702 recorder. Foley was captured with mono Rode NTG3 microphone. Engine sound effects were recorded with two DPA-4061 omni microphones. Car was recorded during regular driving, accelerating, decelerating and more demanding way of driving with steady RPMs and RPM ramps. In addition to designed files, this library features RAW sounds pulled straight out of the recorder.

    In this 88 minutes long sound library you will find engine recorded onboard and outside, passby sounds, foley and engine recorded inside vehicles cabin in sync with microphones under the hood.

    Renault Master 2.3 dci diesel van:
    The Renault Master 2.3 dci diesel van sound library is a go to pack for many transportation related scenes. It features 102 96kHz files, more than 130 minutes of audio covering different aspects of using a car. Inside you’ll fine engine recorded under the hood, stereo recordings from cabin during driving, exterior passes and different maneuvers and foley recordings.
    Renault Kangoo 1.6 16V:

    The Renault Kangoo 1.6 16V sound library features 227 96kHz/24 bit WAV files (including RAW files, for design purpose) recorded with 2 Sound Devices 702, 2 Sennheiser MKH 8040 microphones, Rode NTG3, 2 DPA 4061 and Sony PCM-M10 recorder. This library covers sounds of regular driving, slow and fast accelerating recorded under the hood and inside a drivers cabin at the same time, so the files are in sync and ready to edit in your DAW. In addition this library features exterior recordings, from slow passes through medium and fast ones, reverse sounds, doppler effects, braking and idle, driving away and more.

    Everything was recorded from 3 perspectives with different equipment. Mono recordings followed the car all the time, and were recorded with NTG3. Stereo ones were recorded with Sony PCM-M10 and Sennheisers MKH 8040 in ORTF. Those microphones were standing still, capturing the car passes from left to right.

    Last but not least, foley. This library covers different actions, like opening and closing doors recorded from the interior and exterior perspectives, opening and closing slide doors, hood, back doors and windows. Pulling and releasing the hand brake, AC fans, buttons and switches, emergency and turning lights, opening and closing glove compartment and more.
    The total length of the files is 142 minutes (without RAW files). In addition to the cleaned and premixed files, you will receive Engine RAW recordings as a separate download link. Thanks to those files you can design the engine or interior sounds the way you like.
