  • – A concept ‘verb, come alive

Toraverb was never meant to be an emulation, approximation, or recreation. We did not implement any “off-the-shelf” algorithm or impulse response. Unlike a classic unit such as spring, room, hall, or plate, Toraverb is a concept in its own right. Using a set of easily accessible parameters, allows the user to create practically ANY type of algorithmic reverb. Our goal was to create something which would sound beautiful no matter where the knobs are.

Reverb is a critical effect in a mix. A good digital reverb depends on the algorithms used and their implementation quality. Usually, reverb is used as a send effect in which many channels in a mix are routed to it. If a poorly designed plug-in or hardware unit is used, the end result is tinnier/muddier mixes, with reverb tails sounding like they’re being torn off inhumanely.

  • – Start thinking of delay as part of your arrangement

Tekturon is a multitap-delay effect with 16 independent, high-quality delay lines. What really sets it apart from other, similar products, however, is the way it’s controlled and the unique topology into which the taps are arranged: The Delay Matrix. In fact, Tekuron can’t be thought of as a tap-delay effect in the strictest sense, but more of a sequence of taps equally delayed from each other, whereby working with the plugin strongly resembles using a step sequencer. This rather unusual design should give your creativity just the kick it needs!

  • – Evocative, characterful sound through painstakingly accurate modelling of a high quality analog BBD delay line

With that in mind, we set out to create the ultimate analog chorus emulation, inspired by the revered effects found in classic synthesizers such as the Solina String Ensemble, Elka Synthex and Roland Juno-106. This fruit of our labor is Syntorus 2, the newest addition to the Silver Line series of plugins.

Syntorus 2’s unique analog sound enriches any instrument routed into it, bringing life and movement to synth basses and leads, and adding depth and lushness to guitars and other electric/acoustic instruments.

  • – Our compact, intuitive reverb plugin creates amazingly authentic real-world spaces without bogging you down in complex parameters.

The hybrid algorithm at the heart of Spacerek fuses modeled virtual spaces to a dynamic delay network, generating reverb tails with supremely realistic early reflections, dense, colorful late reflections, and separately adjustable ER and LR pre-delay times. Dozens of emulated room types take in halls, towers, chambers, tunnels, and much more, and each one integrates a variety of preset stereo microphone and speaker setups.

Spacerek also makes balancing the Direct signal, Early Reflections, and Late reflections easy with its three-channel mixer; while the highly musical Tilt EQ and Low Cut filter modules provide effortless shaping of the overall tail. And as each Reverb Model is pre-configured for left-right or mid-side stereo operation, tweaking width and spatialization is a snap.

Spacerek doesn’t put the squeeze on your system, either – indeed, when you hear it, you can’t fail to be impressed by its CPU-friendliness (compared with typical audio simulation techniques).

  • – Incredible degree of sound-shaping freedom

Sigmund is far from just another delay: it consists of four discrete delay units, each with its own, independent set of parameters offering an incredible degree of sound-shaping freedom. There’s an ancient saying, often attributed to Aristotle: The whole is greater than the sum of its parts. With Sigmund, this is especially true: each of the delay lines has complementary modules built-in, independent from the feedback loop:

But that’s not all: Sigmund has two general-purpose Modulators which can be used to auto-modulate some of the delay lines’ internal parameters. There are three different modes a Modulator can operate in:

LFO – Used subtly on-time parameter can delicately bring a sound to life, to add gently flowing, modulated warmth reminiscent of the analog delays of yesteryear. At extreme settings, the LFO is capable of twisting the input signal utterly beyond recognition and into what you might expect transmissions from an alien civilization to sound like!

Envelope – In combination with built-in Transient Detector gives you a very powerful tool; when applied on amplitude allows to freely shape sound’s dynamics to control how it blends in the whole mix.

Peak follower – It’s a must-have for a Modulator; nothing else will do such expressive wah-wah effect, when filter cutoff is influenced by. Surely in the hands of skilled sound designer it will have many other applications beyond that.

This all adds up to an immensely powerful architecture, the potential of which can be explored nearly endlessly and often with hardly predictable outcomes.

  • – The Delay is the ultimate creative tool for adding space, depth, and excitement to music

There have been many incredible delay units created over the past 70 years, from tape delays to oil cans to modern digital circuits. So when D16 Group and our friends at Slate Digital got together to create a new delay plugin, it was obvious which we would model: all of them!

  • – Redoptor is a high-quality Vintage Tube Distortion emulator

The organic sound of a tube amplifier being pushed into breakup has been the gold standard for as long as musicians have been experimenting with overdriven and distorted tones.
The gentle, natural compression and rich blend of even and odd harmonics produced by analog tube circuitry makes any signal feel more powerful, punchy, and alive. Unlike solid-state transistor and fuzz circuits which only produce odd harmonics and limit the incoming signal in a subjectively unnatural and unresponsive way, Redoptor smoothly responds to the dynamics of the source material, just like a real tube amp. This means that loud signals get saturated with more crunch and delicious harmonics, then return to their clean state gradually as their release tail decays. This enables dynamic, sonically pleasing distortions.

  • – Powerful, yet Practical: an easy-to-tweak instrument that can get hit sounds in seconds, unleashing

LUSH-101 isn’t based off of one machine. It’s built from modules that can be found in many modern virtual synths, combined into one compact, logical layout. Don’t let its looks fool you: Though it may look benign at first, its modular, multilayer architecture takes it beyond simplistic poly-synths to the top shelf of extremely powerful, deeply programmable, yet devilishly versatile instruments in your arsenal.

The multilayer architecture guarantees that both the sound design possibilities and the number of unique situations in which LUSH-101 can be used are virtually limitless. Multitimbral sounds can be quickly created by simply assigning any (or all) of the 8 layers to the same MIDI channel; this can result in anything from subtle chorusing to sonic anarchy! Assigning the layers to different keyboard zones allows you to create sophisticated splits, and an entire split-zone preset library exists to get you started. Of course, you can always assign various layers to different MIDI channels for 8-part multitimbral usage, and send out up to 11 Audio Outputs.

With all of these splits, layers, multitimbral options and routing capabilities, there’s no end to what you can do with just a single instance of LUSH. With each layer working as an independent synthesizer with its own polyphony, parameters, enhanced arp and a choice between 8 of the finest insert effects, LUSH-101 lets you reach “unheard of*” creativity.

Want to get weird? In addition to a very sophisticated MIDI-learn implementation, an advanced modulation matrix is built into each layer. Even the Arpeggiator’s MIDI output can be used as a modulation source, allowing for complex sequences and refreshingly odd progressions.
LUSH also comes complete with a powerful built-in mixer, complete with layer-independent parametric equalizers and compressors that can be rearranged. Volume, Pan and superb send effects allow you to put the finishing touches on the final output.

LUSH can sit in any seat at the genre table. The Gate can be used instead of the VCA for instant staccato sounds for energetic Funk and rhythmic pockets. For Ambient or Chillout, drag out the attack and release times along with our smooth, rich & spacious built-in reverb to satisfy even the most ardent purists. Is Dubstep or Drum & Bass more your speed? No problem! Filters modulated by the LFOs and envelopes in conjunction with Unison mode can lead your creativity with the nastiest leads*, and base your sound in the most gnarly basses* – you and your sound system will be pleasantly confused as to what hit it, so watch out! No matter what (or how) you want to play it, LUSH will get the sound.

  • – Don’t be deceived by the SilverLine format and affordability – big things sometimes come in small pa
The most powerful modulation effect we’ve ever created, Godfazer is your new go-to plugin for chorus, phasing, filtering, rotary speaker emulation and much more. Built with creative sound design at the top of the agenda, Godfazer spatially and spectrally transforms signals of all kinds with its versatile Ensemble module and two dual-modulated Multi Filters.

  • – Have you ever wanted to replicate that unique, magical breeze floating through most of JMJ’s tunes?

Fazortan 2 is the newest incarnation of our Controllable Space Phaser, part of the SilverLine Collection. Needless to say, we didn’t cut corners when striving for that robust, yearned-by-all analog feel. The Phase Shifter provides you with total control, allowing you to obtain highly precise sonic contours. If you’ve ever wondered what’s behind the swirling, ethereal synth vibes synonymous to Jean Michel Jarre’s vintage sound, it has surprisingly less to do with the synths he chooses but in matching it with the analog phaser for which Fazortan 2 is a fine equivalent.
Thanks to our advanced analog modelling techniques based on Operational Transconductance Amplifiers, we implemented allpass filters comprising characteristics identical to its analog counterpart. In this update, we’re even closer to the original hardware unit.
You can think of Fazortan 2 as an exact virtual replica of a ‘70s retro phaser, but whose identical sound and primary functions aren’t limited to the analog realm. Bearing in mind that the original had a single Rate knob and a Color switch on the front panel, Fazortan 2 stands alone as a completely new device – made obvious no less by its GUI – expanding on the features of its hardware counterpart.

  • Drumazon synthesis emulates all the sounds of the original 909. All the modules are coded to match their analog counterparts, down to each nuanced detail. As a virtual bonus, all Drumazon instruments have enhanced controls. This extra functionality allows the user to adjust the sounds further than on the original unit. This opens up a whole new world of sound creation! Listen to the audio demos or tweak it yourself with the demo version :)

  • – The sweet spot in distortion domain

Devastor 2 is the second generation of D16’s first FX Plugin from the SilverLine Collection series. Devastor is a deceptively simple yet remarkable Multiband Distortion Unit. It is an enhanced version of the distortion unit you can find in Phoscyon, but with full control over multiband processing. This elevates its sonic mangling capabilities to an entirely new level!

The plug-in offers nine different connection topologies between its filters and diode-clipper. Filters can process the signal before or after it gets fed into the diode-clipper, but some of the configurations even allow the filters to work alongside the clipper, which greatly increases the possible sonic palette.

Devastor’s filters are not simply the peaking EQ type that are commonly used in classic multiband distortion units: rather, they are like those found in analog synthesizers (low pass, high pass, bandpass and band-reject) with adjustable resonance and cutoff parameters. As a result, Devastor has a completely unique sound. Just check out the factory content and hear for yourself!

  • – Incarnation of an iconic stomp box you will surely appreciate

In bringing the classic stomp box back to life, we’ve created a must-have effect plugin that will appeal not only to performing guitarists, but to instrumentalists and producers of virtually any genre: whether it’s rock guitar riffs or melodic synth lines you’re into, you’ll find that the extreme attention to sonic detail coupled with the flexibility afforded by modern technology in Antresol make it the perfect example of what a flanger should be in the modern era. The original, conceived in the mid-70s, quickly became a benchmark for flanger-type effects by offering a uniquely rich character defined by luxuriously harmonious interacting resonances, and has been heard ever since on countless classic recordings. That’s why D16 couldn’t resist the opportunity to resurrect the soul of this classic in a thoroughly modern incarnation with Antresol, our newest effect in the SilverLine Collection!

  • A truly modern parametric equalizer, Slice EQ cuts, or enhances, frequencies with surgical precision using razor sharp digital filters up to 96 dB/oct.

Slice EQ is an advanced parametric equalizer, with great modulation potential. Especially when combined with Snap Heap

Slice EQ offers you everything you need to create mathematically perfect filter combinations to get your music exactly where you want it to go.

  • Let’s Go Splitsies!
Please note: This Multipass package does not include all Snapins, but the 5 listed on this product page.

When adding effects to a sound, it’s not uncommon to want to apply these effects to just a certain part of the sound. For example, you might not want a complex chorus to affect your bass too much, or a hard distortion to totally fry your high end. Either way, multiband processing adds a dimension to effect chains that really opens up a new world of options in sound design. Multipass helps you with this, allowing you to split the input sound into up to 5 easily tweakable frequency bands and applying unlimited number of effects to each band. Pitch shifted auto pan with a filtered chorus delay distortion? Coming right up!

Band splitting comes with a bit of a price. It’s unavoidable (without adding latency) to mess a bit with the phase of the sound. Usually this is not a problem, but when chaining multiple multiband effects this can add up to a lot of phase distortion. In Multipass, the band splitting is only done once no matter how many effects you add, leaving the phase as minimally harmed as possible. It also sorts out dry/wet mixing of effect lanes properly without phasing where possible. Parallel multiband compression, here we come!

While adding four filters a frequency shifter and a stereo width modifier can be interesting in itself, adding four filters with sweeping cutoff retriggered by audio threshold, a frequency shifter bound to the MIDI note and stereo width scaled by the input RMS can be… Well, probably strange. But it may be amazing, and trying it out is just a couple of clicks away. Try it!

When you’re tweaking a specific frequency band, the other bands and effects involved can sometimes make it hard to properly hear what’s going on. Mute or solo effect lanes to quickly home in on what you’re doing. And if you automate it, it can even be an effect in itself!

Don’t worry about latency. No matter how you route things or what effects you add, Multipass makes sure everything is as in sync as they can be to make sure all modulation aligns properly and to avoid phasing issues.
