  • This library is a bit different from the rest.  Dx (“Diagnostic”) is a grouping of different audiometric and audiological elements in a neat, diversified package.  Our goal was to aggregate audio tests from multiple disciplines and build them into a one-stop-shop collection that most sound designers, engineers, researchers, and artists could utilize as a mainstay in their audio toolbox.

    In this collection you will find sets of: binaural beats, audiometric sweeps, full frequency sweeps, multi-spectrum noise, spatializations, resonance tones, impulses, dynamics tests, intermodulated distortion tests, aliasing tests, phase tests, and a few fun examples just for kicks.

    These diagnostic sounds are provided in 96kHz/24-bit, 48kHz/24-bit, and 44.1kHz/16-bit resolutions.  There are various length and loudness combinations as well, so you don’t have to edit these files to use them for their intended tests.  That being said, this diagnostic audio can also be used very quick and precise ways in layered SFX designs.  Because they are so specific in their development, they can be used with an automatic mathematic disregard…and that, is a good thing.

  • This library is the result of a really special recording trip, with field recording legend Chris Watson. Chris Watson's work as a wildlife sound recordist has covered television documentaries and experimental musical collaborations. We spent 4 days in Delta Ebro learning from him!

    We recorded in ambisonic (Zoom F8 and Sennheiser Ambeo VR Mic), and decoded and mixed in Dolby ATMOS at AdHoc Studios.

    We recorded 13 beautiful tracks in ambisonic format. As always, top quality recordings specially designed for film audio projects.

    Eerie Forest is a collection of subtle ambiences recorded at night in dense forests in the regions of Transylvania and Moldova, Romania over two trips in Spring and Autumn 2017. The library features soft wind, distant hum, vegetation rustles, dogs barking at various distances, church bells tolling, a variety of owl species and other birds like ravens and woodcocks. All these elements are not foreground, but rather washed-out, echoey and atmospheric.

    Eerie Forest is not suitable for foreground sound elements as the recordings are very soft and subtle. Make sure you check out the demos before you purchase.

    Audio clipping (or saturation) is the distortion that occurs when you set your input signal level far too high. It happens when your analog or digital recording equipment reaches its limits and your system cannot handle the dynamics of your input signal.  Clipping results from over-saturation and usually sounds like a harsh distortion. When you look at the loud parts of your input waveform, you can see clippings as blocks of audio that are chopped off.
