Get up close and personal with British engineering in this superb motorcycle sound library!
This library is sampled from a brand new 2017 Triumph Street Twin 900 cc motorcycle. It combines classic motorcycle engineering with modern technology to create a truly unique sound.
In this library you get a large variety and perspectives of revs, idles, drive bys up to 50 mph, drive ups, drive aways, engine breaking, onboard driving, accelerating and more! Enjoy feeling like you’re riding this brand new modern vintage motorcycle!
This library is the result of tinkering with shotgun mics recording inside of different tube structures. When our initial tests produced a wide range of sonic colors, we went all in.
The tubes used include organic and man-made materials, some rigid, some flexible, some dense, some light, all with varying lengths, diameters, and thicknesses. They consist of bamboo, PVC, 2 variations of vinyl, thin plastic, copper, tin, rubber, dense foam, and a steel-coiled membrane. Each material has a different effect on the sounds passing through them. We generated turbulent drones, thick strikes, resonant scrapes, noisy bells, delicate debris, and more. The overarching characteristics are soft, insulated, and misty. Due to the behavior of the waves in the open tubes and the pickup pattern of the shotgun mics, there is a natural frequency modulation that gives the sound a slightly narrowed, hollow timbre. They work very well in simulated settings, enclosed spaces, and when there is a need to exaggerate the magnitude of tiny worlds. But they are equally as useful as raw design fodder, especially when a unique texture is needed.
This is our first library created solely for the sake of experimentation, though based on the results, it may not be the last!
Get a total of 180 sounds of the best sounding locks you can imagine. With 60 original source sounds placed in Dry, Small Room and Large Room environments, there’s no need for further processing with these carefully crafted locks from the sound designers at Rumble Studios. Get the pass-by sounds of unclassifiable objects, with a natural aspect and texture. They can be easily added into a natural, sci-fi, historical or fantasy world setting.
The source objects are items like toasters, gloves, paper, pipes, small motors, voices, an iron bowl, a garden hose, plastic sheets, air pumps, sticks, trolleys, ratchets. The elements are wind, water, underwater. The textures are plastic, metal and wood.
Unknown Pass-By contains fast, med, slow pass bys (from left to right). Both small and large objects are included, and the library is excellent for setting your sound design imagination free.
The Unreal Machines I sound library includes 11 rattly and squeaky fictional metallic machines.
START. STOP. LOOP.
Each of the 11 machines is available as a kit that allows the user to extend its operation time:
Start & Stop file: The first sound file consists of the machine starting until it is running steady for a while, then it is turned off and shuts down.
Loop file: The second sound file is seamlessly loopable and can be used to extend the steady operation of the machine. Just customize it to the desired length and fade it into the middle.
Like in other recent sound libraries by The Sound Pack Tree, source material which has been used to create these sounds has been recorded with microphones that can catch ultrasonic frequencies. When pitched down, the machine sounds stay rich in high frequencies.

This sound library is entirely based on the Victor adding machine, made in the 1920s. This machine was purely mechanical and non-electric. In this sound library you'll get individual recordings of the machine's hand crank, printer, paper, and button/keys tracks as well as six complete recordings of the adding machine in full action. The library also contains five different mic positions with two different mic techniques used.
This library gets you the sounds of record players, a gramophone, tape decks, a VCR, a movie projector, a TV and more. All bespoke recordings that I have just captured especially for this sound pack. 5) Servo sounds, with 48 different variations
The recordings have not been manipulated in any way other than being edited into smaller files, as to not limit your options when using the sounds creatively.

Vintage Telephones SFX library contains 244 sounds extracted from 10 vintage, rotary dial devices manufactured between the 1880s and 1980s. In this library, you’ll find three common ringing patterns (used in the USA, Australia, and Europe) for each telephone type, handset pickups/set downs, number dials 1-0, hook toggles, as well as single ringings with natural long ring decays to design your own ring timings according to your project needs.
As an addition to the standard telephone sounds, we have captured some experimental ones, that were generated by feeding the devices with random low frequencies, producing some really strange mechanical rattles, buzzes, glitches, and unusual bell rings.
If you want to make a rotary telephone device ring, without any landline nearby, head over to our blog here
With A Sound Effect, Asbjoern has created a web site where our international community can browse, learn, and share the vast fruits of our labors. Together we are accelerating the very real potential power of sound design as a recognized art form.
A Sound Effect is an excellent resource for us to keep our animated films sounding unique and exciting.
A Sound Effect is a great asset to have discovered.
We found the site very easy to navigate, purchasing and downloads were effortless and the effects themselves are awesome! Asbjoern has done us all a great service.
We’ll definitely be back!
There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
We're always looking for new sounds to mangle, so when A Sound Effect had a holiday sale, I tried them out.
The purchase experience is really smooth and quick, and delivery is almost instant.
I'll definitely come back to them again in the future!
A Sound Effect is a wonderful resource for indie sound effects libraries. On top of that, it has some of the finest sound design, film and game audio interviews!
I often need very specific types of sounds so I've become a big supporter of independent recorders.
Until now I've always had to go to their individual websites. Now I can find them all in one place.
And, Asbjoern is great to work with!
A Sound Effect is a well curated boutique sound effects shop and a great place to find industry interviews and learning resources.
