The Windmill library gets you rich, organic-sounding recordings of wood, stone and metal. Crunches, grindings, rumbles, rhythm, squeaks, roars, movements, gears – it's all there, captured in an old windmill.
The library focuses on the sounds of the wings, the main axis, the grindstone, the flour beaters and the global atmosphere – and they're perfect for sounds of a wooden boat, wagons, structures, ropes etc.
Features both interior and exterior recordings, and gets you more than 1 hour and 20 minutes of atmospheric recordings in total.

Utilising tools including sledgehammers, axes, hand saws, screwdrivers, pliers, hammers & mallets, this library features the eerie sounds of distressed wires as well as huge impacts with musical tails.
Multiple microphones were used to capture various perspectives of the destruction including; Jez Riley French C-Series contact stereo pair, Sennheiser 8020 stereo pair, Schoeps CCM4/CCM8 MS and the Sennheiser 416. The Sound Devices 788T was utilised as the recorder.
Torturing Wood is a compact bundle of cracking, tearing, and breaking sounds – from the destruction of an old wooden garage. It offers 100 files, each meticulously edited, and embedded with metadata information for easy import and ensure a fast and easy workflow.
This library is the result of tinkering with shotgun mics recording inside of different tube structures. When our initial tests produced a wide range of sonic colors, we went all in.
The tubes used include organic and man-made materials, some rigid, some flexible, some dense, some light, all with varying lengths, diameters, and thicknesses. They consist of bamboo, PVC, 2 variations of vinyl, thin plastic, copper, tin, rubber, dense foam, and a steel-coiled membrane. Each material has a different effect on the sounds passing through them. We generated turbulent drones, thick strikes, resonant scrapes, noisy bells, delicate debris, and more. The overarching characteristics are soft, insulated, and misty. Due to the behavior of the waves in the open tubes and the pickup pattern of the shotgun mics, there is a natural frequency modulation that gives the sound a slightly narrowed, hollow timbre. They work very well in simulated settings, enclosed spaces, and when there is a need to exaggerate the magnitude of tiny worlds. But they are equally as useful as raw design fodder, especially when a unique texture is needed.
This is our first library created solely for the sake of experimentation, though based on the results, it may not be the last!
Twisted Zither features recordings of an old zither being plucked, scraped, hit, and shaken. The library includes string hits, wood hits, tones, and different resonant sounds using a number of props such as mallets, african shakers, keys, coins, a metal beam, and fingers.

The sounds were recorded in stereo at 96 kHz 24 bit. The equipment used was a Sony PCM-M10 and the files were processed, edited, and mastered in Reaper.

There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
