A SOUND COLLECTION THAT ROCKS
Packed with the breaking, cracking, falling, rolling, rattling, dragging and shattering of stones, rocks, bricks, pebbles, gravel, sand and porcelain, Stones and Debris offers you a great selection of ultra-realistic sound effects. Use the recordings to flexibly create all types of stone debris, from settling dust and small falling stones to large rock avalanches or massive destruction.
In addition to the source recordings, this package includes a range of pre-designed destruction sounds of collapsing buildings and walls, huge cracks, landslides as well as dumping rubble. These sounds will help you on the fly when everything breaks, a city is under attack and houses collapse after an explosion or earthquake.
RECORDED WITH ACOUSTIC PRECISION
We have spared no effort in creating a highly versatile tool of stone recordings. Besides the sessions in our studio, we captured the sounds in quarries, abandoned buildings, forests and volcanic landscapes to get as many different stones and rocks as possible. Stones and Debris gives you maximum flexibility to layer, transform or create new sounds and adds detailed textures to your projects.
Say Hello to Particles the new sonic weapon for creative sound designers, video makers, filmmakers and motion designers.
A must-have sound effect library to give a sense of organic and hyper-realistic to your projects in a fast and creative way.
Hyper- Realistic Textures (104 sounds)
These are hyper close-up recordings of various kinds of props (food, fabrics, materials).
Since they are really rough, they’ll inspire you to create something cool using them as sound sources.
Their proximity allows you to use them for macro-shots, CGI and motion pieces, hyper-detailed images.
Granular Whooshes (76 sounds)
From sci-fi granular to totally organic, a large number of whooshes, passbys, dopplers to give a natural sense of motion to your project.
Minimal One Shots (62 sounds)
This is the category of short and tiny sounds: small collapsing, fractures, all with a premium high-end sonic detail.
You can make your organic foley drumkit using them as a sample into your electronic music project.
Organic Impacts (17 sounds)
Powerful, organic, natural-sounding with a big low end, these impacts are ready for your earth’s destruction shots.
Granular Atmospheres (16 sounds)
Abstract but generated from organic recordings, these atmospheres will help you to get the right “other world” dimension to your project
Low End Rumbles (12 sounds)
Last but not least, do you need more power in the low end? You can layer these sounds to enforce subsonic frequencies giving a new taste to other existing sounds.
The Complete Collection contains 1582+ sound effects from every sound library that we have released so far. It features Sci-Fi, Fire, Ice, Mecha, Rocks, and Plastic sound effects and field recordings, including ambiences, drones, textures, swooshes / wooshes, impacts, glitches, sequences, and more. Low-price. High-quality. Essential.
An essential collection of 150 dirt / dust movement sounds, including dirt, sand & snow settling at various speeds.
Each sound was created at 96kHz / 24-bit stereo and is fully compatible with the Universal Category System (UCS) – a public domain initiative establishing a standardized category list for the classification of sound effects.
Note: All of these sounds (and more!) are included in the 96 General Library (get 3,000+ SFX for FREE!)
The Falling Rocks and Debris sound effects library offers you many sounds created by rocks of different sizes.
Ranging from impacts and rolling stones to scrapes, slides, and tickling fine derbis. All sorted in sub folders and with embedded metadata (Universal Category System).
The Rock Slides sound effects library includes 57 recordings of various small rock, pebble, and other debris slides.
There were multiple microphone positions used, but the two most common were a stereo microphone placed on the middle of the slope, capturing the slides from left – center – right as they slid down the mountain.
The other was the stereo microphone placed at the bottom of the slope as the rocks traveled down the slope towards the microphone. This captured more of a crescendo with the sound of rocks growing louder as they travel closer to the microphone.
Fully UCS compliant
Crisp, clean various types of pebble, dust, dirt and grit debris along with smashing rock impacts.
Great for adding some subtle detail to your ‘after the explosion’ sound.
I recorded all these sounds with my brothers during a trip home to Ireland.
Close to our home (out in the middle of nowhere), there is a little quarry with a lot of sand, dust, stones, rocks and some grass. There was also a broken plough there that gave some nice stone on metal impact sounds.

Scratches is a comprehensive library of 700 recordings of scraping, cutting, scuffing, peeling and rubbing sounds. This high-quality collection of versatile sounds will make your skin crawl and hair stand on end.
The idea behind this project was to gather a wide assortment of objects like saws, scissors and chalks, and to record their acoustic interaction with surfaces such as wood, glass, metal, concrete and gravel. We even came to vandalize a few musical instruments (snare drums, oriental percussions, cymbals and more) with hammers and knives in order to capture weird noises and unique musical qualities.

With A Sound Effect, Asbjoern has created a web site where our international community can browse, learn, and share the vast fruits of our labors. Together we are accelerating the very real potential power of sound design as a recognized art form.
A Sound Effect is an excellent resource for us to keep our animated films sounding unique and exciting.
A Sound Effect is a great asset to have discovered.
We found the site very easy to navigate, purchasing and downloads were effortless and the effects themselves are awesome! Asbjoern has done us all a great service.
We’ll definitely be back!
There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
We're always looking for new sounds to mangle, so when A Sound Effect had a holiday sale, I tried them out.
The purchase experience is really smooth and quick, and delivery is almost instant.
I'll definitely come back to them again in the future!
A Sound Effect is a wonderful resource for indie sound effects libraries. On top of that, it has some of the finest sound design, film and game audio interviews!
I often need very specific types of sounds so I've become a big supporter of independent recorders.
Until now I've always had to go to their individual websites. Now I can find them all in one place.
And, Asbjoern is great to work with!
A Sound Effect is a well curated boutique sound effects shop and a great place to find industry interviews and learning resources.
