  • Environments & Ambiences Pipe in a Lava Field Play Track 392 sounds included, 154 mins total $12

I found a very long disused bore hole in the middle of an Icelandic lava field. I dropped rocks down it, poured water into it, vocalised into it, stroked a rasp file on a plastic bottle stuck into the top of it and other experiments.

The results were insane metallic echoes, delays and reflections.

Unique source material for sound designers and experimental sounds for musical composition

392 single files and 55 grouped files for easy reference.

Files are stamped with UCS compliant metadata in Soundminer

  • Industrial Ambiences Vibrations Etm Play Track 83 sounds included, 63 mins total $20

In the summer of 2021 I spent about a month in Seattle and did a lot of field recording. One of the most successful sessions was a round trip to Winslow on the Washington State Ferry. The ship is huge and just about everything vibrates sympathetically with the engine pulse. This library includes all of those vibration recordings (Shock-mounted Sony PCM-100; 96k/24bit) To keep things interesting, and somewhat on point, I’ve scoured my personal library for other unique sounds – real and synthetic – which I’ve gathered or created over 30+ years that have some sort of vibration (or vibration-adjacent) element. I was pretty liberal in how I defined it: Quantum foam (Organic or Performed) The result is an eclectic mix – vibration being the through-line.

All sounds have UCS compliant metadata.

  • Metal friction recordings shine when using a rosined cello bow on a thin sheet of metal or a drum cymbal. Dragging a heavy metal cabinet across a floor creates a wild ronk; pulling a gritty old wheelbarrow over concrete is a hell of a sound; and pulling a rusty metal drawer through an uncooperative space is pure gold.

With this massive metal friction SFX library, you’ll be able to either design your own unique material using the included raw source sounds of scrapes, deep bows, slicers and grinders, or start by grabbing ready-to-go designed metallic sounds that are perfect for trailers, horror, games, and more.

This library contains 132 detailed recordings of various source metal friction + 29 designed cinematic metallic textures. All recordings captured on a Sound Devices MixPre 6 using a Sennheiser MKH 8040 Stereo Pair.

  • Metal Sound Effects Steel Strained Play Track 58+ sounds included, 28 mins total $60

Steel Strained Faunethic sound library is a unique collection of 59 sounds of large metal structure under stress and pressure.
This library focuses on the musicality and the tonality of metal material, perfect to add tension and anxiety to your productions.

All these sounds have been recorded and produced with high quality equipment at 24/96 kHz at very low noise floor in nice acoustics.

This sound library offers original audio textures ready to use or to design:

    -Metal resonances and vibrations.
    -Metal stress, groan and scrape.
    -Metal shake.
    -Spring rattling and hit.
    -Hit and low impact.
    -Designed files.

This collection comes in two sections:
-Raw material: construction kit to create and design your own effects. Most of the sounds come with many variations.
-Designed: ready to use sound effects, tonal, scifi, bassy, saturated and modulated.

This library provides authentic and interesting sounds, recorded with Neumann, MBHO and DPA mics powered by an Aeta 4minX.

Recorded and edited in high resolution, these sounds are easy to pitch down and time stretch to create unique and surprising sounds.

All Faunethic tracks include metadata tags carefully edited, compatible with Soundminer, Soundly and Basehead.

  • The hot, humid sound of saunas.

Alongside the sound of the sauna itself, this sound library focuses on the impact of water on the incredibly hot rocks. From small water droplets to large splashes, this library features a large range of steam sound effects.

All sounds were recorded using the Schoeps CCM8/CCM4 mid-side microphone, Sennheiser MKH 8020 stereo pair and Sound Devices 788T.

Mid-Side recordings are presented in their raw, uncoded format as well as decoded stereo files for efficient editing. Recordings have been processed using the Control V2 plugin by Brainworx.

  • Spring Box is 13 minutes/453mb of shrieking, droning, scraping metallic sounds – made by bowing a steel spring bolted to an empty steel enclosure. 81 separate files – recorded in 24bit/96kHz using Primo EM172 and JrF contact microphones. All files are UCS-compliant.

Here’s a collection of eerie sounds for your next horror/sci-fi/ambient project. Everything from low rumbling and rattling, to high pitched, harmonics-laden screams; long, drawn-out sounds and short dings and twangs. Of course they sound really good when pitched down, too (the last 3 sounds in the preview are shifted down to quarter speed)!

The Spring Box is an old 19 inch rack enclosure, which I gutted and fitted with two springs from a genuine Luxo lamp (so you know it’s good). I have been having fun bowing and scraping this with a cello bow, as well as striking it with various other objects. Some sounds are recorded acoustically, while others were done with contact mics.

    You get:

    • Steel spring sounds.
    • Long and atmospheric, as well as short and succinct.
    • Great pitch-shifting material.
    • Searchable file names
  • Heavy Metal! is an extensive collection of bangs, chains, scrapes, squeaks, and sawing – all involving an old, large, heavy, metal car door.  There is a ton of variation, including timbre, since most of the library was recorded with multiple stereo pairs of microphones.

    Heavy Metal! includes:

    • Chains: movement, sliding, impacts, & ratcheting across metal
    • Impacts: Collins axe, chains, hatchet, machete, rubber mallet
    • Scrapes: Hatchet, machete, saws, squeaks, dryer tube – TONS of variation
    • Sawing (on metal): Hack saw, machete blade + saw

  • Destruction & Impact Sounds Gravitas Play Track 428 sounds included, 13 mins total $23

To build the range and palate of character that we needed for this collection, we transformed community park and green-way bridges into large-scale percussive instruments. We sought out 12 very special bridges in particular locations and sampled many different performances on them to elicit the right sorts of impacts that we were looking for.  Each performed impact has 3 layers, 2 mono and 1 stereo, all with different perspectives due to mic placement.  These sounds are highly dynamic, containing an artful blend of the locale they were captured in, and can add some very rich color to any explosion, impact, or crushing event in your editing mix.  Go ahead and do your best (or worst)!

These sounds can take a beating.  Enjoy!

  • Need high-impact car crash sounds – captured from both the inside and outside of a car? While there are no sounds of actual monsters attacking a car, there's certainly a lot of of recordings of sound-guys jumping on car roofs, beating car doors, smashing windshields and destroying paint jobs, with a big axe, and a crowbar.

Low sense DPA 4061 microphones were placed inside a car, and different actions were performed on it, like hitting, dragging, jumping, stepping and other improvising actions.

Microphones were also placed inside and outside the car, and windshields were smashed, with crowbars. These recordings covered the massive impacts as well as the small detailed glass pieces falling inside the car.

  • Cylindrical Gong is a collection of high quality, 24bit/96kHz, UCS-compliant stereo recordings from a strange, cylindrical, gong-like sheet metal object I came across once. I use the word gong, but there is none of the cymbal-like sheen in this object. Instead, you get more of a ring-modulated, atonal texture – perhaps more like a broken bell. Definitely not your typical gong sound effect.

The 27 different gong sound recordings included provide loads of nuance of sound from this object – I used mallets, knuckles and fingernails to play it! Load them into different velocity ranges on your favorite sampler, pitch them up and down, add effects, etc.
Use them for musical effects, for layering with other sounds, or perhaps mangle them beyond recognition.

  • Here’s lots of dragging, sliding, scraping and friction sounds of different objects made of wood, plastic, metal on various surfaces. Find the true sound of it with Vadi Sound Library.

  • Metal Sound Effects Medieval Smithy Play Track 30+ sounds included, 10 mins total $20

This sound library includes the sound of hammer impacts, mallet hits on an anvil, many foleys such as pick and drop clamps, hammer on an anvil, and stand. In addition, it consists of water sizzle, working bellows (load, no-load, fire, no fire), and horseshoe clanks.

A recording session was in a native Ukrainian village in the smithy.

All files have a natural reverb effect with a short tail, so I decided not to touch it for a more natural-sounding.

I used two Oktava MK 012 mics and Shure FP33 Stereo Mixer for boosting with analog limiters.

  • “Worldwide Church Bells” by SpillAudio is an SFX library with 186 unique sounds from 47 different church bells from all over the world.

All the sounds are gathered from the Bulgarian “The Bells Monument”, built in Sofia to commemorate a communist event in 1979. In the beginning, there were only 77 bells, but as time passed and more events took place, more bells were brought to the monument and in the present, there are nearly a hundred. Most of the bells were set by children’s delegations that participated in the assembly. A copy of a bell from the IV century B.C can also be seen in the collection.

This SFX pack contains sounds from the surviving 47 bells, from which single hits were recorded, as well as various sequences of ringing.

    All bells:
Algeria, Angola, Armenia, Austria, Brazil, Bulgaria, Cambodia, Colombia, Cuba, Cyprus, Denmark, Egypt, Ethiopia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Israel, Italy, Laos, Lebanon, Libya, Malta, Mauritius, Mexico, Mongolia, Netherlands, Palestine, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Romania, San Marino, Senegal, Seychelles, Spain, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, UK, USA, Yemen, Zimbabwe

All sounds were recorded and edited at 192kHz / 24it.

  • This library contains various metal impacts, hits, clanks, drops. More than 700 individual sounds and 30 metal objects types. From tiny to bigger. Source material for great variety of uses. Recorded in stereo/mono 24 Bit/96 kHz. Due to big number of individual sounds they are represented in form of sets that contains several sounds but grouped via type of a sound.
