Cuff ‘Em is a collection of all things handcuff. Lock up the villain using the Smith & Wesson 100-1 series nickel plated carbon steel handcuff. Use the key to unlock and unlatch to make your escape. Pick up and drop the cuffs on numerous surfaces. Surfaces include: Wood Table, Resonant Wood Table, Carpet, Carpeted covered Hardwood, Hardwood Floor, Two Metal Tables, Resonant Metal Table, Chaise Lounge, and Leather Drum Stool. Also included is opening and closing of the latches, fidget and jiggle around, spin on different surfaces, and more!
60 files, 51 minutes, with over 2,285 sounds in total! Recordings decoded from MS into stereo using the Sennheiser MKH8050, MKH30 microphones into a Sound Devices Mix Pre-6 Recorder.
All files are metadata tagged using Basehead and Soundly.
Cylindrical Gong is a collection of high quality, 24bit/96kHz stereo recordings from a strange, cylindrical, gong-like sheet metal object I came across once. I use the word gong, but there is none of the cymbal-like sheen in this object. Instead, you get more of a ring-modulated, atonal texture – perhaps more like a broken bell. Definitely not your typical gong sound effect.
The 27 different gong sound recordings included provide loads of nuance of sound from this object – I used mallets, knuckles and fingernails to play it! Load them into different velocity ranges on your favorite sampler, pitch them up and down, add effects, etc.
Use them for musical effects, for layering with other sounds, or perhaps mangle them beyond recognition.
Daily Doors brings you 147 household doors (those ones present in every project) opening and closing, recorded simultaneously from a close and a distant perspective. One of the main problems with doors is that they tend to sound “too close”. A door will sound different depending on where the microphone is placed. By using two different mics, we tried to achieve that goal and match the camera point of view.
Close perspective is around 50 centimeters far away from the source, whereas the distant one is around 2-3 meters far away, depending on the room size.
Distant perspective is in M/S. Both M/S Decoded and RAW are included in the library, so you can play with it as you please: using only the close one, using both close and distant, using just the distant one, decoding it to mono, wider… The list is endless.
Unless it wasn’t possible due to the nature of the sound, all sounds were recorded in two different intensities: Hard and Soft. Each file contains at least 3 different takes opening and closing, making a total of more than 1400 door sounds.
Some other actions, apart from opening and closing, have been also included, such as knocking on doors, slamming, forcing handles, locking and unlocking doors, door chains and latches.
All files are in 96 kHz/24 bit and meta-tagged, both in Soundminer and BWAV.

All sounds were recorded using the Schoeps CCM8/CCM4 mid-side microphone and Sound Devices Mix-Pre 6.
Mid-Side recordings are presented in their raw, uncoded format as well as decoded stereo files for efficient editing. Recordings have been processed using the Control V2 plugin by Brainworx.
This Double Bass & Violin sound effects library not only includes weird low double bass bow strokes, stabs, vibrating strings, drones, harsh harmonics, string scrapes, bow stroke voices, and bright violin tones and screams. It also includes the opportunity to open up a whole new set of sonic adventures.
Why? All double bass sounds have been recorded at 192K/24 bit, with an amazing stereo set of close up Sanken CO100K microphones, and a stereo set of Sennheiser Mkh 8020 microphones, capturing low end and room. All violin sounds have been recorded with a single Sanken CO100K microphone.
Common for all Sanken files is that you're able to either extreme time stretch/time compress, or pitch up and down the files, and by this discover a whole new world of sounds – without adding nasty degenerating artifacts or muffling the sound. The ultra-high frequency range of the Sanken microphones does really make a great difference!
Recordings these sounds was a pure blast. The amount of versatile organic material in the set is great. The bass instrument has been played in a very innovative way, using both regular bow on strings and bass body, but also finger cymbals attached to specific places for a vibrating ring or rattle noise, creating some really other-worldly sound effects, and almost vocal-like patterns.
While the double bass material produces a massive low end without any further processing, the violin recordings really benefit from being stretched and pitched. This makes all the non-audible bright sounds captured by the Sanken microphones come through.

Dumpster Truck (Skiploader) delivers the sounds of a DAF CF 75.310 mid-size truck that delivers open steel containers. They are mostly used to collect debris, junk or discarded furnishings. Once these containers filled up, the truck picks them up again to bring them to the suburban garbage dump.

A massive collection of metal hits, drops, crashes, drags, and scrapes. It includes iron, steel, and metal. There is a mix of massive impacts and falls, as well as subtle debris moves and drags.
The takes are captured with a variety of perspectives. Most takes include close (mono), medium distant (stereo), and distant (stereo).
Fight is the second library in a comprehensive melee and hand combat series from Black Edge Sound Studios (formerly Output Audio). Recorded at Universal Sound, a dedicated foley stage in Amersham, UK with a wealth of experience in crafting sound for feature film, TV and video games.
The library has an extensive collection of of punch, kick, cloth, breaks, gore, whoosh and body fall. This includes all the core elements and original recordings needed to build bone crunching fist fights and ultra realistic combat action, whilst providing polished compositions and arrangements of key combat moves in the designed section for quicker results.
The library metadata has been designed to provide a fast, efficient workflow to picture and video game, ideal for quick turn arounds.
Expanding the selection further with the original recordings means that editors can quickly create mixes and then refine and stylise. A Pro Tools session is included (2020.3) that takes all the effort out of arranging the content for mixing. The recordings have been edited and aligned with a choice of microphones. You can drop in your own routing, processing and mixing touches according to taste and quickly establish a new sound set for the picture or video game you are working with.
FINAL IMPACT is an extremely detailed and comprehensive collection of 300 designed impacts, smashes and hits. Carefully layered and designed with game audio, animators and filmmakers in mind, we believe that this could be the last impact sound collection you will ever need.
Each impact has been layered multiple times to create rich, full sounds, composed of recorded hits and synthetic blasts. All sounds were designed, processed and edited at 24-bit / 96kHz, with embedded meta data and accompanying spreadsheet.
This library was created to provide designers with drag and drop sounds for sweeps, fades, surges, swells, and other embellishments. Each of the sounds in this collection were designed to be used to heighten events, but they can be mashed, stacked, and chopped to create all sorts of eclectic designs. There are plays on musical concepts as well as thematic events, with each sound purposefully building up, culminating in a peak moment, and then dissipating in some way. They are organized into 100 families (designs) with 5 variations each, ranging wildly in topic, movement, duration, dynamics, attack, release, loudness, density, and speed. Some are natural and organic while others are completely rigid and synthetic (and some fall variably in between).

The G4F SFX09 – Metal soundbank is comprised entirely of metallic sounds generated by many different objects.
The soundbank contains high-quality recordings made at the Foley’Torium studio. The recordings are 96 kHz/24 bit, with a Class A setup (Sound Devices recorder with DPA and Neumann mics).

This library features a vast variety of garbage including glass, recycling and rubbish, falling through chutes and colliding with large plastic bins.

Gizmo is a mechanism library for designing mechanical actions in machinery without the engines. This library covers the gambit of steam, ronks, clicks, clanks, clunks, servos and all sorts of mechanical actions from various props.
Unlike most libraries, this one was recorded at 192 with a stereo pair of Sanken CO100k microphones for extreme lossless pitching, so you can take something small like a typewriter, and make it sound like a massive printing machine.
Glass and Metal Clouds are the result of experimenting with the tonal and noise elements of a glass or metal impact via granular processing. Various household objects were struck and recorded, ranging from metal shovels, desk legs and brass ornaments to glass and crystal objects – basically anything that would ring after it was struck.
The recordings were then sent through ‘Clouds’ and processed with gentle, chaotic modulation by a combination of sloth chaos modules and standard cyclic modulation resulting in drones that gently sweep between musical tonal sounds and the random noise produced by the strike and are ever evolving; some more than others.
Sometimes some surprising sounds came out of the drones and I let them run, some were kept quite constant with only a subtle amount of modulation so there is a lot of variation in the pack.
The sounds came from my need as a sound designer to embed strange mood, emotion and feeling of uncertainty into everyday ambience.
To build the range and palate of character that we needed for this collection, we transformed community park and green-way bridges into large-scale percussive instruments. We sought out 12 very special bridges in particular locations and sampled many different performances on them to elicit the right sorts of impacts that we were looking for. Each performed impact has 3 layers, 2 mono and 1 stereo, all with different perspectives due to mic placement. These sounds are highly dynamic, containing an artful blend of the locale they were captured in, and can add some very rich color to any explosion, impact, or crushing event in your editing mix. Go ahead and do your best (or worst)!

Recorded in a quiet studio environment in 96 kHz / 24 bit, these well-edited and meta-tagged sound clips make it easy to add the perfect gun shell sounds in your projects. In addition to a massive amount of variations of shells falling on different surfaces, the sounds are useful for sweetening bullet impacts, creating collect/pick up sound assets, and pitch-shifting them to create totally new sci-fi weapons.
An informative PDF spec sheet is included with a lot of details about the shells. There you can easily find example firearms using the specific cartridge to accurately match the correct shell sounds with the guns in your projects.
The library comes in two versions: One with multiple takes in a single audio clip, the other has a new audio clip for each shell drop. Both versions are included with this library.

There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
