Scene Shop is a collection of high quality recordings of industrial machinery used in scenic construction workshops. Some machinery are in good condition, others not so much so… expect lots of metal rattling!
Machinery are not recorded during active use (not during wood cutting for example) so the recordings are very clean and lend themselves well to being used for large elevators, lifts, automatic doors and generally metal machinery of any kind and size.
There are multiple takes for most of the sounds, all complete with startup, steady phase, and shutdown.
This collection is a mixture of stereo and mono, very sensitive microphones able to pickup beyond 20khz were used, so it was produced and post-produced at 192khz (these machines are already very big, but slowed down they sound even bigger!)
There are also some extra sounds such as the switches of the machinery, bursts of compressed air, large metal doors and others.
Immerse yourself in the distinctive sounds of the Abandoned Trailer Foley, a meticulously curated sound effects library. Crafted for professionals in film, gaming, and multimedia, this collection captures the essence of an abandoned trailer with its rustic and eerie sounds.

An unusual collection of sounds with an unusual story.
The Story
I was working in an older mix room, originally designed for tape machines and lots of outboard gear. 5 large racks worth of outboard gear right behind the mix position. Over the years most of the outboard gear was removed and eventually replaced with blank metal spacer panels. While I was mixing I kept hearing odd resonances and ringing sounds in my mix. Eventually I figured out that some of the panels were being excited by sounds in my mix. After the session ended I started tapping on the panels to see which ones were the culprits. I soon discovered that it sounded interesting so I grabbed some mics out of the studio and started recording the results. First by tapping the plates with my finger, then with a wooden drumstick, and then with a homemade rubber mallet. I also used the rubber mallet as a friction mallet getting a cool groan sound.
The Sounds
A collection of interesting metal hits with lots of harmonic content using three different striking methods with different kinds of attacks. I found that there were 6 panels that had unique sound qualities when struck. These are ideal for making cinematic hits and sweeteners, and bell like sounds. Also there are a number of interesting metal groans made by using the homemade friction mallet. These work for metal groans and creaks but are also evocative of animal or creature sounds. Recorded at 192k/24bit. These sounds are made to be pitched down to find their true potential.

Metal Springs is 444 MB of metal spring sound effects. 662 individual sounds in 78 separate files – recorded in 24bit/96kHz. All sounds are UCS-compatible.
Metal Springs is a collection of spring sounds that don’t just go twang, but explores many other sounds that can be coaxed from these flexible steel wonders.
I recorded a selection of small steel springs pulled from various mechanical and electronic devices, ending up with many sounds that could be used in a variety of sound designs. Whether you want to add some extra authenticity to button presses, operating small office machines, or add a little comedy to any kind of malfunctioning technology, you will find something useful here.
Any time I use a machine or some piece of equipment, and hear a spring-like sound, I feel like I have gained a little more knowledge about the internal workings of that machine or equipment. Spring sounds, or their absence, can also be indicate quality and age of an object. You wouldn’t expect to hear them from a very high-tech console in a super-villains lair, but it wouldn’t be out of place in the movements of a worn down droid.
With 662 sounds in 78 files, most sounds come in multiple variations or takes, adding some life and realism in those situations when you need to play a sound repeatedly.
A general sound effects collection that includes SIX of our first category-focused micro library releases, plus HUNDREDS of additional files, priced at a substantial discount compared to buying collections separately. 1100+ separate WAV files recorded at 24bit, 96kHz or 48kHz.

Nuts and Bolts contains a huge array of DIY and construction themed sound effects featuring tools that are used by tradesmen such as hammers, saws, chisels and spanners, as well as several other miscellaneous tools such as brushes, tape, filler guns and of course, nuts, bolts and screws.
As well as hand-operated tools, Nuts and Bolts gives you several power tool sound effects being operated at different intensity levels. All of the sounds in this library have been recorded in context, meaning that they reflect how you would actually use the tools, not just how they sound in a controlled studio environment. We recorded close, distant and far recordings to capture natural reverb, giving you the maximum flexibility when searching for the right sound for your projects. We also recorded dropping effects for most of the tools.

Featuring booming metallic groans, wandering wails and piercing squeals, this collection yearns to texture your sound design with character and provide the groundwork for boundless creativity.
Forged in the spirit of authenticity, the creation of Metalmorphosis began with the construction of a one-of-a-kind layered steel sculpture designed for the sole purpose of generating dense, full-bodied metallic noise. By dragging a violin bow across the contraption, recordist Colin Lechner craftily conceived sonorous layers of scrapes and grinds to add tension and texture to any project and design. These sounds are ideal for injecting your scenes with a shocking, mysterious element and are sure to raise hairs and heart rate alike.
Recorded with high-quality condenser microphones including an AKG C414, Neumann U87, and a Schoeps CMC 6U/MK 22, these resonant screeches and squeals are masterfully recorded for the utmost sonic clarity. The Master Gun Browning M2-HB Sound Effects library is recorded using a large array of various microphone configurations, we recorded shots from several distances in an open shooting range in the Nevada Desert.
Our raw shots features a total of 26 channels including 12 Stereo and 2 mono sources. All of our close and mid spaced pair Microphone options can be used as two independent mono microphones. The right side of every spaced pair will have more Mech than its left side counterpart.
Every single gun has been recorded using the same gain settings on the same recorders, and we have level matched each microphone option between the same calibers so your 50ft microphones will be the same or similar across all libraries that share the same calibers. This makes mixing large amounts of weapons easier as the loudness and character of each gun is predictable.
Our foley features a total of 4 audio channels with 1 Stereo and 2 mono sources, including the Sanken CO-100k which captures frequencies above 100kHz for extreme pitch shifting workflows.
Created from the ground up we’ve designed a collection of game-ready mixes for your next project. If you are creating your own custom weapons system and would like to use our designed mixes in your project, you can use our no-tail options which are our realistic designed mixes without our tail layers. Just drag, and drop.

With A Sound Effect, Asbjoern has created a web site where our international community can browse, learn, and share the vast fruits of our labors. Together we are accelerating the very real potential power of sound design as a recognized art form.
A Sound Effect is an excellent resource for us to keep our animated films sounding unique and exciting.
A Sound Effect is a great asset to have discovered.
We found the site very easy to navigate, purchasing and downloads were effortless and the effects themselves are awesome! Asbjoern has done us all a great service.
We’ll definitely be back!
There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
We're always looking for new sounds to mangle, so when A Sound Effect had a holiday sale, I tried them out.
The purchase experience is really smooth and quick, and delivery is almost instant.
I'll definitely come back to them again in the future!
A Sound Effect is a wonderful resource for indie sound effects libraries. On top of that, it has some of the finest sound design, film and game audio interviews!
I often need very specific types of sounds so I've become a big supporter of independent recorders.
Until now I've always had to go to their individual websites. Now I can find them all in one place.
And, Asbjoern is great to work with!
A Sound Effect is a well curated boutique sound effects shop and a great place to find industry interviews and learning resources.
