Game Triggers is a game sound effects library jam-packed with over 1920+ memory optimized designed and source sound effects, 420+ sound sets across over 50 sound types and styles for use in video games. This focused sound library gives you a hybrid mix of game actions, interactions, and one shot sound that are perfect for game hits, UI, inventory sounds, notifications, cartoon styles, apps, funny moments, comedic relief and other sound fx found in popular games. Whether you’re creating a high energy button masher, silly platformer, a wacky racing game, or a lighthearted puzzle game, our library has the perfect sound effects to match your game’s style and mood.
The first sample library of four volumes is dedicated to the four natural elements: fire, air, water, and earth. This revolutionary collection focuses on water in all its chemical derivations, including liquid, gaseous, and solid states. It contains more than seven years of field recordings, which have been completely reworked and designed to guarantee the most immersive sound experience possible, ensuring a noise-free aural perception.
CRACKS is a large exploration of different cracking sound sources – cracking, crunching, breaking and creaking.
I have recorded a number of different materials, designed and processed to create some more aggressive, powerful and ready-to-use destruction sounds.
Bread, Cardboard, Celery, Ceramic, Chips, Glass, Ice, Icy vegetables, Leather, Paper, Pasta, Plastic, Polystyrene, Rocks, Snow, Wood.
The library contains over 444 sound files – around 2,5 hours of sounds included in total.
Originally recorded at 192 kHz with two Sennheiser MKH8040 and a Sound devices 702.
Each sound file has been carefully named and tagged for easy search in Soundminer and is Universal Category System (UCS) compliant.
(see the full track list below).
Frozen is a collection of ice impacts, scrapes, debris, slides and more taken during a miserably cold winter in the arctic tundra of Massachusetts. These recordings were meticulously recorded, edited, named, renamed, edited again, re recorded, then re-renamed (you get the point) to give you the best quality ice library you can get.
The library roughly is broken into two sections, raw and processed. Raw is designed for sound designers to go wild with: stretch, distort, compress, and more to your hearts content. The processed section is for designers and content creators on the go. If you’re on a tight deadline, pulling some sounds that are already going to get you close to where you need to be is imperative. These processed versions play very nicely even when not designing ice.

Multichannel recordings of the ice (in sync): stereo, mono and underwater/under ice recordings. Audio tool for further sound design, production etc.
Multichannel, recordings of the ice; Surface/underwater recordings of the ice. Check the sound list for info/ object of recording.
Each multichannel recording (or position/place of recording) is in a separate folder. Each channel/recording is Metadata tagged with description of equipment/format/character. Each multichannel recording (each folder) consist of:
–Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â 4 Ch STEREO Mix, all channels mixed together (surface and underwater), ready for use stereo file
–        Ch 01-MID, mono file, front/MID microphone-cardioid, RAW
–        Ch 02-SIDE, mono file, SIDE microphone-figure of eight, RAW
–        Ch 03-HYDRO LEFT, mono file, Left side hydrophone, RAW
–        Ch 04-HYDRO Right, mono file, Right side hydrophone, RAW
–Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â STEREO HYDRO Mix, stereo file, two hydrophones mixed together, ready to use underwater/ice stereo file
–Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â STEREOÂ (surface) file
You can use mono channels to create your own mix (or use it as mono) or use a stereo-ready to use file (or combination of both).
Using mono recordings/files for multichannel mixing can be very creative for SFX, or maybe in film, for example, to accompany first surface (frame) and then underwater (frame) separated, or half submerged camera (frame).
For mixing stereo (surface) files (microphones) you will need an MS matrix (plugin). This is a very creative tool which allows you to control the amount of stereo field or front to side ratio of the sound captured. If you are not familiar with MS there is a ready to use stereo (surface) file and you can use/mix it with underwater/ice file(s).
(for MS: Sennheiser MKH40 – front microphone/cardioid and Sennheiser MKH40-side microphone/ figure of eight.) Hydrophones are Aquarian audio H2a XLR.

From creating the breath of a behemoth, to the palpable aura of an ambiance, this is a plethora of contact mic goodness providing you with frequency-deep content for layering, embellishing, bolstering, and new sound creation.
Contact mics are delicate creatures. They can give you insights into the most excitable yet unheard facets of a soundscape, and then almost immediately get destroyed by the slightest of impacts. We’re just going to forget about how many incredible captures were thrown out of the running for this library due to such slight disruptions, and instead focus on the positive: this is a huge collection of super flexible, totally malleable sounds. One of our favorite libraries to make because it satisfied the inner tinkerer’s ear, Outward Inversion is our microscope applied to the aural world.
A massive collection of 423 impacts, smashes, hits and explosions.

Get the wintry sounds of snow scrapes, slides, crunches, impacts, snowballs, debris, whooshes, and footsteps.
Most of this snow was recorded in 4-6 feet deep snow at about 10,000 feet elevation in the Eastern Sierras in varying temperatures.
Recorded with a Sound Devices 702 recorder + stereo pair of Sanken CS-1e microphones. The recordings are captured in 24 bit / 192 kHz and come with extensive metadata.
Various handpicked and carefully recorded essential and familiar ice sounds. Recorded ice cubes and ice blocks of different sizes to make crackling, breaking, twisting, sizzling, swirling, chipping, smashing, and shaking sounds.
Several types of tools were used to chip and break the ice objects such as kitchen knives, hammers, rubber mallets, and ice picks. A hot iron was used to melt ice blocks, ice cubes were stepped on to make crushing and walking sounds, ice cubes in glass and plastic cups combined with water, plastic ice trays of freshly frozen ice that was twisted, turned, and recorded different ways.
These are just handful of examples of the many familiar sounds of ice that are included in this sound library.
Prepare for shivers! Frozen Footsteps is a huge library of winter footstep & foley sounds recorded on 8 expressive and cold surfaces in real -20 °C (and below) temperatures.
Containing over 2400 sounds in 81 files, Frozen Footsteps foley sfx library is created for game and film sound design. If your game needs winter footstep sounds, or you are missing some authentic source material to take your studio foley tracks to the next level, this is the library for you.
All surfaces were recorded in real movement with multiple walking and running velocities. Frozen Footsteps library includes also real jumping and landings sounds. Jumping sounds are often missing from other foley libraries, but are extremely useful for creating character movement sounds for games. This package gets you covered.
7 surfaces were recorded during two freezing winter nights in a quiet rural area in Finland. Everything from ground to trees was totally frozen and covered in frost. However, snow hadn’t fallen yet. This special moment allowed recording footsteps on unique surfaces that are usually under snowpack. To make the package complete, the frozen snow sounds were recorded later, with real crusty snow. In freezing temperatures, as well.
All sounds were carefully edited in iZotope RX and Pro Tools 12 removing the background and clothing noise. This was quite a task, but it was worth it. This makes the sounds extremely clear, versatile, and easy to use.
Library highlights:- 8 frozen surfaces
– 2400+ sounds in 81 sound clips
– Sneak, walk, run, jump, slide, scuffs, and more
– 96 kHz, 24-bit stereo WAV files
– 1.20 GB
– Carefully edited & noise-free
– Soundminer & BWAV metadata
With A Sound Effect, Asbjoern has created a web site where our international community can browse, learn, and share the vast fruits of our labors. Together we are accelerating the very real potential power of sound design as a recognized art form.
A Sound Effect is an excellent resource for us to keep our animated films sounding unique and exciting.
A Sound Effect is a great asset to have discovered.
We found the site very easy to navigate, purchasing and downloads were effortless and the effects themselves are awesome! Asbjoern has done us all a great service.
We’ll definitely be back!
There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
We're always looking for new sounds to mangle, so when A Sound Effect had a holiday sale, I tried them out.
The purchase experience is really smooth and quick, and delivery is almost instant.
I'll definitely come back to them again in the future!
A Sound Effect is a wonderful resource for indie sound effects libraries. On top of that, it has some of the finest sound design, film and game audio interviews!
I often need very specific types of sounds so I've become a big supporter of independent recorders.
Until now I've always had to go to their individual websites. Now I can find them all in one place.
And, Asbjoern is great to work with!
A Sound Effect is a well curated boutique sound effects shop and a great place to find industry interviews and learning resources.
