  • Ethno Instruments Singing Bowls Play Track 550 sounds included, 280 mins total $27.30

Singing bowl is a type of metal or glass/crystal bell that vibrates and produces a rich, deep tone when played. Also known as Himalayan or Tibetan, singing bowls are used in meditation and yoga practice.

Singing bells are very useful in sound design and music production, because of rich and slowly evolving tones and textures.

For this library I recorded metal and crystal singing bowls in many different sizes.

Also, several polyphonic performances, played by trained yoga-master, are included as a bonus.

  • This library is great to quickly place samples for rolling objects but also a never ending collection of source sounds & textures for all things releated to rolling, rumbling, driving, rotating and spinning.

I wanted to cover a lot of grounds, so I have objects rolling on grass, cobblestone, concrete, tar, wood, steel, plastic, carpet …
and these objects include cars, bikes, balls, skateboards, stones, push carts, tires, garbage cans, a buggy, a wheelchair and much more.
In addition, there are a lot of sounds in here I already used for designing otherworldy atmos or futuristic weapons, so lots of options here.

Most sounds are mono recordings with the mic following (or being attached to) the object. But there is also a section with bypass sounds in stereo and some onboard recordings in stereo. And not only the onboard of a car without motor rolling across different types of cobblestone, but also mics attached inside a garbage can which then was rolled through the streets.

This library contains my go-to sounds for all things rolling and most sounds have been recorded in 192kHz/24bit with Earthworks QTC50 mics to allow a maximum pitch / slowing down action. As the library evolved and grew over different years, a broad range of mics have been used. DPA 4060s, DPA 4061, Shure SM 57, JrF Contact C Series, Neumann KMR 81i, Ambient Emesser and on a few recordings I used other sample rates like 96/24 or 48/24.

  • Magic & Fantasy Sound Effects Helinä Play Track 754+ sounds included, 225 mins total $55

“Helinä” can be translated as “the tinkling sound made by the shaking of tiny bells”.  These may be wind chimes, and some are quite large, but the meaning of the name still rings true.  Beautiful, glorious, and entrancing wind chimes, all stirred up for your designing and listening pleasure.

We’ve meticulously recorded and only very lightly edited 15 different sets of wind chimes composed of varying materials, shapes, and sizes. The result is a stirring array of shimmering textures from the soft dull knock of bamboo to the brilliant crystalline sparkle of obsidian.

The chimes sets and performances include:

Chimes: Bamboo, Glass Shards, Porcelain Bell, Cast iron Bell, Glass Bell, Stoneware, Obsidian, Buoy, Paper/Mixed, Copper, Aluminum, Bronze, Agate, Shells, Capiz

Performances: Flowing (Short, Med, Long), Breeze (Light), Windy (Moderate), Stormy (Heavy), Quaking, Plops, Gusts, Strikes, Grabbing, Releasing

You’ll get incredible tonal depth, preciously sustained tails, and conveniently isolated strikes and “gusts” resulting in a natural representation of each chime.  All of the chime-work was recorded in 192 kHz so you can bend, stretch, and twist with the comfort of the extended harmonic content of each chime.  The majority of the stereo content is presented in Mid-Side format (noted in tracklist and metadata) such that the stereo width can be dialed in as desired and a clean mono track can be had without any added processing or summing. All of the performances resulted in 50 separate files for each of the 15 chimes, making layering and matching performances a breeze.  In addition to the chime sets, we’ve included four stereo wind captures, in different capacities and locations, for adding context and ambiance to any wind chime-appropriate environment you may find yourself working on.

  • The vividly descriptive and meticulously chosen SoundMiner metadata that has been embedded into each of the 217 files allows you to save minutes, even hours, of painful searching through libraries, trying to find that elusive sound! Now it is easier than ever, due to metadata that has been crafted with humans, and not search engines, in mind!

The main library consists of: rummaging through broken glass with a metallic object, smashing broken shards of glass, breaking different size windows and pieces of glass, and hitting thick glass at different intensities without breaking it.

The bonus library contains 21 different variations of a glass bottle breaking on rocks and two variations of a bottle bouncing off the rocks without breaking. The length of all the files ranges between 1 and 3 seconds long.

This library was recorded outside on a very quiet day, with no wind, insects, birds or traffic. iZotope RX was then used to eliminate the small amounts of background noise that was present. As a result, all the recordings are dry, clean and have no reverb.

This library is useful for, but not limited to: Feature Films, TV Series, Short Films, YouTube Videos, Games, and more!

If you have any questions about this library, feel free to quickly send me an e-mail. I tend to reply within minutes.

  • Scratches is a comprehensive library of 700 recordings of scraping, cutting, scuffing, peeling and rubbing sounds. This high-quality collection of versatile sounds will make your skin crawl and hair stand on end.

The idea behind this project was to gather a wide assortment of objects like saws, scissors and chalks, and to record their acoustic interaction with surfaces such as wood, glass, metal, concrete and gravel. We even came to vandalize a few musical instruments (snare drums, oriental percussions, cymbals and more) with hammers and knives in order to capture weird noises and unique musical qualities.

If you want to get an insight into how we created Scratches library, head over to our blog here

  • Metal Sound Effects Performed Orchestral Percussion Play Track 523+ sounds included, 505 mins total $119

Sounds for this library were recorded in amazing sounding film scoring studio and performed on orchestral set of top-end Kolberg percussion instruments. The intention was to perform organic sound effects resonated by musical instruments and not regular musical samples.

Sounds were generated with a few different rubbers, mallets and a bow. They were performed to be used for abstract sound design elements, as well as emotional big creatures vocalizations. You will find there many growls and moans, which can be used for example as designed whale vocalizations.

Recordings were done on microphones with extended frequency range: Schoeps CMC6XT, Sanken CO-100k and Trance Inducer (which also records up to 50kHz), which makes them ideal source for pitch-shifting.

Please note: Pitch shifted files in the demo are presented only to show potential of those recordings and aren't included in the library. No additional processing was done on all sounds.

    Instruments used:

Timpanis • Taiko Drums • Gran Casa • Orchestral Toms • Orchestral Snares • Chinese Gongs • Chinese Wuhan Gongs • Chinese Opera Glissando Gongs • Burmese / Thai Gongs • Metal Plates • Vibraphone • Crotales • Bell Tree • Lion’s Roar • Ocean Drum • Rainstick • Ratchets • Vibraslap • Flexatone • Tibetan Bowl • Glass Chimes • Bamboo Chimes • Temple Blocks • Alpine Bells • Musical Saw

  • There’s something thrilling about the sound of glass breaking. Whether it’s the danger involved or the difficulty of the recording process, glass breaking sound effects remain a very difficult but useful tool in the sound editors library.

Over the course of a few years and several recording sessions of various size, this collection of glass breaking sounds came to be. From small cups, plates, and bottles to large jugs, jars and windows, the sounds found on display here are designed to convey the violence and danger associated with glass breaking. Be careful; they are loud!

In addition to the ‘dry’ library of sounds, a useful ‘wet’ library of re-amped, or “Worldized” sound effects has also been included. Consisting of 54 out of the 83 included glass smashing sounds, this second tonal option was prepared in two locations; one, a tall, narrow concrete stairwell, and the other an interior living room complete with furniture and unruly early reflections, for a total of 108 additional files for your choosing.

Combined, the Fragile! Glass Smashing Sound Effects library from Tall Tale Sound presents you with 191 mono & stereo sound effects, ready for download today.
