  • Whoosh Sound Effects Flourish Play Track 500 sounds included, 54 mins total $20

This library was created to provide designers with drag and drop sounds for sweeps, fades, surges, swells, and other embellishments. Each of the sounds in this collection were designed to be used to heighten events, but they can be mashed, stacked, and chopped to create all sorts of eclectic designs. There are plays on musical concepts as well as thematic events, with each sound purposefully building up, culminating in a peak moment, and then dissipating in some way. They are organized into 100 families (designs) with 5 variations each, ranging wildly in topic, movement, duration, dynamics, attack, release, loudness, density, and speed. Some are natural and organic while others are completely rigid and synthetic (and some fall variably in between).

If you need to festoon the heck out of a scene or event in your project…If you need some complex SFX designs craftily layered and ready-to-go…If you need a diverse set of easy-to-tweak, overflowing sonic enrichment, then look no further. You’ve found it.

  • Drones & Mood Sound Effects Dronos Play Track 154 sounds included, 154 mins total $30

Brand New Sci-Fi Ambiences from The Library by Empty Sea. 6+ GB, 150+ sounds, almost 3 hours of material, all 96k, all looped for easy use.

  • Electric Arcs and Energy is essentially two separate collections of sounds.  The first, Electrical Arcs are more raw.  These arc sounds can be manipulated and mangled to be used as design elements in your project.  They are highly flexible and can easily be pitch-shifted -48 semitones or more.  They remain remarkably useful and clean giving each sound multiple “dimensions”.

The Electrical Energy collection is a series of more specified design elements that I created – Impacts and Powerups.  Meant to be used in Weapon or UI design they should be flexible enough to be used as stand-alone effects or layers in more complex sounds.

    Recording and Editing

This library was designed from scratch by recording highly unconventional metal sources with a cello bow and processing them (see one example in video). Great care was taken during the recording and editing process to ensure maximum flexibility of these sounds.  The recording was done at 24/192kHz using the Sennheiser MKH 2050 mic which captures frequencies up to 50kHz.  All processing and design was then performed at 192kHz.

Bonus – Forge Sound Design Tool Sample Map

If you own the Forge Sound Design Toolkit this library also comes with a specially curated sample map.  The sample map can be loaded into the sampler for randomization and the creation of more complex sounds.

  • The sound library that you didn’t know you needed, a collection of electromagnetic sounds presented in Ultra-HD 24-bit 192k resolution. First a little science lesson: All Electric devices produce a magnetic field. Usually, you don’t hear this field. And you can’t record it with a normal microphone. You need to use an induction coil pickup. These pickups are commonly used to record telephone conversations. But, hold them up to an electric device and all sorts of chaos ensues.

This library features various motors recorded with an induction coil pickup, as well as TVs, mobile phones, car ignitions, light bulbs, you name it. Many items that you use everyday give off amazing magnetic fields and we happily recorded as many as we could. The second half of this library is all synth sounds that, at times, sound even more electric than the real stuff.

  • Transmission apparatus is a construction kit designed to create a broad range of communication sounds, from real to “alien” broadcasting signals.

The library contains more than 2 GB of data, delivered in 373 files of unique sound material. It’s catalogued in five elements: AM (amplitude modulation), FM (frequency modulation), SSB (single side band – aka ham radio), KYMA (synthesised noises) and VOCAL (unintelligible speeches).

The first three bands were recorded from the output of different radio receivers at 96 kHz via a Crane Song HEDD (Harmonically Enhanced Digital Device) to add warmth and tube/analog sonic color to the recordings. All the samples have been carefully selected from these recording sessions, with the addition of just a little dsp processing to widen the stereo field.

The Kyma folder also contains unique audio files entirely synthesised in the SSC Kyma+Paca(rana) environment. A group of SFX called Vocal is the result of “destroyed” dialogues and vocal sources via spectral processing.

Transmission Apparatus is available in two versions:

96 kHz .WAV version• Audio Format: Broadcast Wave Files (.wav)
    • Bit Depth: 24-bit Size: 2.49 GB
    • Download size is 1.82 GB (compressed .rar archive)

Native Instruments Kontakt 5 version• Audio Format: NI Instruments File (.nki)
    • Sample Rate: 96 kHz
    • Bit Depth: 24-bit Size: 1.66 GB
    • Download size is 1.64 GB (compressed .rar archive)
    • Full version of NI Kontakt 5 required

  • Feedback is a collection of well… feedback sound effects! Created by digitally misrouting various audio signals in numerous ways to create truly wild sound effects:

    • Speaker ringing feedback to thunderous rumbles
    • Grating tinnitus effects to pleasant tones
    • Rhythmic pulses to chaotic digital noise and much more

Feedback combines the binary precision of digital audio with the unpredictable quality of signal feedback to create a treasure trove of ultrasonic rich sound design material. Use Feedback to flavor your next sci-fi project, bring dramatic tension to a scene, simulate head-aching tinnitus, and so much more!

  • The Boom, Crackle and Scream library is the first in a planned series of Glitch Factory mini libraries.  This library uses sounds recorded of Fireworks ranging from large booms to small sparklers and mangles them into interesting textures in varying degrees.

The sounds have been manipulated using analog synthesizers, custom Reaktor instruments and other types of granular processing.  They will work well for Sci-Fi weapon layers, user interface sounds and more.

  • Sci-Fi Sound Effects Sci-Fi Atmospheres Play Track 92 sounds included, 92 mins total $18

This library is a collection of 60 Sci-Fi atmospheres, all loop seamlessly, which can be used to represent alien worlds, drones ambiences, spacecrafts, futuristic engines, nuclear facilities, celestial spaces, generators, dark elements and from outer space. Mainly inspired by the Alien saga.

Each file has a duration of one minute with subtle changes over time. Ideal sounds to use as a layer in your sound design or for those project where music and sound design are pretty close.

Files have been designed on the basis of two different TVs buzzing, making a total of 32 buzz files, which have also been included in the collection. Calibrated to -24 LUFS. You can experiment with them to create more sounds, or use them as what they are, a TV buzz.

All files come in 96 kHz/24 bit, with a very descriptive metadata, based on what the sounds represent and which kind of feeling and mood they suggest to the listener.

Soundcloud preview includes all the designed sounds.

  • – Glitchy and Organic Textures and Gestures

This pack contains a selection of a series of recordings we made while journeying freely through our studio, using a custom microphone we created. We chopped a bunch of single ”motions” and ”gestures” from the recordings, but the main course is the collection of long, evolving and unpredictable takes we got.
Even though everything in this pack can stand on the stage as it is, it also fits every kind of electronic application and manipulation.
