Shenzhen is the first ever sound library of the Silicon Valley of China. This library invites you on the first ever audiological journey to the unique locations in Shenzhen that only locals know.
This is a unique collection of sounds captured of various atmospheres at different times of the day. From energetic local farmer’s market, to howling subway tubes, to local middle school performance day, to old alleyways of a forgotten part of town.
The library also contains many rhythmic elements, such as meat chopping, construction hammering, and ominous beeps. Not to mention the echoing Chinese announcements between two schools, and the cacophony of crying and construction in a forgotten alley. I hope this library will even meet your sound design needs, and ultimately show you a local and unique side of China.
All recorded in 24 bit/96 kHz. Some recordings contain detail information above 20khz. The library is passionately described emotive words, and all the recordings are fully tagged with metadatas compatible with Soundminer, Basehead and Soundly.
Gear Used: Roland R26, four channel built-in microphones (OMNI and XY), four channels merged down to a stereo file.

Melbourne, Australia is home to some very unique sounds and ambiences which can be found within this library. Let this Foley sound effects pack help you get through the day with a collection of sounds focused on the household bathroom. This is your morning routine, recorded!
Recorded in a small apartment bathroom for a close perspective, this collection of sounds are designed to have only a slight amount of natural room reverb. This is ideal for allowing the editor to just drop the files in a project and move on, while still maintaining that natural sounding, yet close & intimate, perspective.
Sounds include splashing, shaving, flushing, drying, clipping, blowing, trimming, cleaning and many more sounds for your next bathroom, lavatory, locker room or dorm room scene. This Foley sound effect pack contains over 100 stereo files, recorded & mastered in M/S Stereo at 24bit/96khz with Pro Tools comments metadata.
The Steppenwolf Kontakt virtual instrument strives to deliver a persistent combination of simplicity and quality to those looking to expand their palette of virtual footstep options, or to place an affordable alternative in the hands of those already possessing the full version of Kontakt 6 (& up). This virtual instrument, despite its apparent simplicity, is no compromise when it comes to delivering audio quality. Every footstep was recorded in a quiet, professional foley stage with a high ceiling and zero reverberation. A Neumann TLM 103 was used for the close microphone, and a Schoeps CMIT 5U was used for the far microphone. The near & far microphones each have their own knob to control volume on the plugin’s GUI, so that the near or far microphones can be blended together to achieve the desired texture/distance. The preamplifier used was a NEVE 5211 with zero compression and a flat EQ graph for maximum flexibility. There are five instances of the instrument, where each instance is a surface (dirt, grass, wood, gravel, concrete). Each instance/surface contains one shoe per octave for seven shoes per instrument (multiple boots, sneakers, and a pair of woman’s heels). The same shoes are used in the same order across all surfaces! Each key within a given octave contains 8 round robins forming a perfect loop, so the user need only tap one key infinitely to have a complete walk cycle, or mix & match between the 11 other walk cycles within the octave!
For people working in game audio, the samples can also be reused as oneshots within WWISE or FMOD! They are already rigorously edited, so just drag and drop!

Quirboilly (cuir bouilli) is in reference to the traditional state of leather before it was commonly worked to produce various components in armor. When you need that extra close, intimate boost to your leather and metal clothing/material Foley, reach for this library. Excellent at grabbing the listener’s attention and really lighting up the brain, these sounds were designed to capture the nuance and detail of various leather textures and items, decorated with metallic accessories and fallalery.
Each item was worked and re-worked in all manners of handling to pull out the crepitation and squeaks, course and fine grains, flops and rigids hits, and plenty of clanks and clacks of rivets, buckles, clasps, and other metal components knocking together. Beyond the many handling sounds, there are specific drops and light impact sounds of two different proximities. As impacts are quite commonly needed for Foley and creative designs, we were sure to capture them for these rich textured leather and metal items.
Chock full of frequency content, take your drama, historic, medieval, armor, 80’s, rockumentary, and all other leather-and-metal-bound projects to the next level.

Screaming Bundle contains three of our most popular scream sound libraries. With a total number 424 files and file size of 3.68 GB, this bundle has everything from funny anime and crowd screams to horrifying otherworldly sound effects.
Our Audio Craftsmen recorded performances of our in-house voice artists using mono and stereo microphones to give you maximum flexibility. We have captured anime screams, warrior screams, screams of a football fan, falling from height, horror screams, screams inside a tunnel, screams and shouts from TV audience, crowds at parties, gigs, sports stadiums, armies fighting battles, teens being massacred, people burnt alive, a crowd being attacked by bees, a group falling to death, people being trampled by an elephant, couples fighting each other and much, much more. We have also included the “Screaming Designed” library, which contains everything from monsters, dragons, dinosaurs and toy soldiers all the way to giants and ghostly whispers.
All of the sounds are meticulously edited, meta tagged and UCS compliant, so you can find the right sounds you need and drag them straight into your projects. In addition, all the files are available in 24 Bit 192 kHz for further sonic manipulation and design (you can pitch and time stretch these to bring further interest and put your own stamp onto the effects).
You will be saving almost 25% on the total cost of the individual libraries when purchasing the bundle, an awesome value for money addition to your general sound effects libraries.
Sounds from a classic red phone box.
The classic red phone box is something that has been part of the landscape, here in Britain, for all of my life and long before. I decided to capture as many sounds from them as I could before they disappear from use. In this pack you will find such sounds as…
The door opening and closing, a tapping on the window (this could often be heard if you took too long on a call and the next person on line was getting impatient), phone rings and dialling (current and vintage), a man talking away in a phone box, the operator answering a call, room tones and more. Most of these sounds will also be ok for anything visuals that portray the less attractive ‘modern’ glass booths that first appeared in the mid 80s.
Jack doesn’t need to waste time for words. He will whisper, moan, murmur, shriek or shout and you’ll know what he’s up to. Add him to your project and he will become a perfect character, silent yet emphatic, strikingly suggestive.
This sound library was recorded in Moscow’s downtown on 13 locations at different times of the year. 27 samples include the sounds of passers-by, steps and random conversations against the background of distant traffic, singing birds and other casual sounds.
It can be useful for audio post-production when working with movies, trailers or commercials in which it is necessary to convey the routine life atmosphere of Russian cities. All files are carefully selected and prepared. Metadata included in the archive – and the library is available in both a stereo and a surround version.

I wanted this SFX library to sound more natural, rather than creating something that already exists. These tracks are more subtle and are aimed at smaller and more dispersed situations, but can also be used for larger situations.
As well, a majority of the “campus” crowd and walla sounds were captured from the Google and Apple campuses. There are a number of quality tracks with both close and distant perspectives.

Looking for baby sounds? So were we, and here's roughly how long it took to capture them: It took a very, very long time and lots of patience to gather this precious collection of laughing, dreaming, grouching, coughing, crying, shouting, talking, weeping, whining, burping and babbling bundles of joy.
We invited a lot of babies at the age from 3 to 24 months – boys and girls – to our studio.
They followed our call, brought their parents and the funny and often loud recordings started. We also equipped every new parent in our office with our best microphones and recorders and instructed them on how to record their own babies at home. You'll just love the multicolored, sweet and piercing high-quality recordings.
The library comes with 152 files in 96kHz/24bit High Definition Audio and has a size of more than 500MB. All sounds are royalty free, guaranteeing you best quality as always.

With A Sound Effect, Asbjoern has created a web site where our international community can browse, learn, and share the vast fruits of our labors. Together we are accelerating the very real potential power of sound design as a recognized art form.
A Sound Effect is an excellent resource for us to keep our animated films sounding unique and exciting.
A Sound Effect is a great asset to have discovered.
We found the site very easy to navigate, purchasing and downloads were effortless and the effects themselves are awesome! Asbjoern has done us all a great service.
We’ll definitely be back!
There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
We're always looking for new sounds to mangle, so when A Sound Effect had a holiday sale, I tried them out.
The purchase experience is really smooth and quick, and delivery is almost instant.
I'll definitely come back to them again in the future!
A Sound Effect is a wonderful resource for indie sound effects libraries. On top of that, it has some of the finest sound design, film and game audio interviews!
I often need very specific types of sounds so I've become a big supporter of independent recorders.
Until now I've always had to go to their individual websites. Now I can find them all in one place.
And, Asbjoern is great to work with!
A Sound Effect is a well curated boutique sound effects shop and a great place to find industry interviews and learning resources.
