Natural Human Footsteps is a sound library that contains footsteps sequences recorded and edited in an interior foley studio.
No individual files per step, the files collect all iterations per each kind of performance, shoe and floor material. So you could choose how exactly slice and combine them as needed. It is also quite convenient for extracting extra sounds as shoe frictions, little moves and hits, very useful for animation transitions, starting and stopping moves…
There are 12 different floor materials, and up to 12 footstep performance/acting types for both boots and sneakers. Water material has no shoes, just bare feet, but it goes with different depths.
Natural sound, no saturation, hard EQ, compression, multiple layers or any effects applied at all, just some noise reduction (when needed) and level normalization by LUFS-S in different levels, by floor materials and footstep type. So you can start from a relative natural loudness level and apply whatever processing you feel right for your purpose.

We are the People is a sound effects library filled with protests chants from the 2012 NATO protests in Chicago.
Two locations give this library two aurally unique crowd environments. The downtown protests reflect off the surrounding buildings, giving them a neat urban quality, while the Ravenswood protests give the impression of a more open environment. Groups of protesters in unified chant ranged in size from just a few to perhaps 200 or more. Many of the recordings have wonderful builds, starting with one or two voices and grow from there, in both size and intensity.
These recordings work great as stand alone effects or for layering in some specificity to crowds. The next time your designing a defiant crowd, bring some authenticity with We are the People.
From bustling Athenian markets to the rocky Mediterranean coast, this library is a great snapshot of what Greece sounds like. Essentially it’s two very different libraries in one really useful package!
Athens
This historic city sounds old and it sounds new. Busy markets and crowds fill the streets beneath the Acropolis, while a few blocks away the city is alive with busy traffic and eurocentric motorbikes.
We captured street buskers, back alley murmurs, bustling city squares, markets, heavy traffic, skylines and even a religious sermon!
Crete
Nature dominates here and we got our ankles wet recording all she has to offer. Big surf, coves and gurgling rock pools. Mountain goats, crows, roosters and an early dawn chorus. Insects of the Agia Erini Gorge – more Cicadas than you can shake a stick at!
Whether it’s Game of Thrones or the next Bourne film, this beast will help bring your locations to life!
City Life: Central America is a collection of sounds captured across 3 Central American countries: Mexico, Guatemala and Nicaragua.
This library focus is on city atmosphere, especially in street/cover markets, pedestrian areas, parks, and many more.
The sounds captured in Mexico show a more “modern” Spanish atmosphere, compared to the more “traditional” Maya’s markets of Guatemala, where people speak a mix of Spanish and k’iche'(traditional Mayan language used in some parts of Guatemala)
For the 3 countries we visited a large amount of cities (x10) to capture the exceptional urban soundscapes of Central America.
The record duration are around 6:00 min per take. For the cities, we used a discreet setup: Sennheiser AMBEO and an AB stereo setup with x2 Sennheiser MKH 8040.
Each sound recording are located with GPS coordinates and full soundminer metadata.
The Sennheiser AMBEO is an ambisonic microphone, than can be decode in many differents formats (binaural, 7.1, 5.1, stéréo, mono, etc…) for decode it you can use the Harpex plugin or the free Soundfield/Rodes plugin.
-The Full sound bank (Stereo + Surround/Ambisonic) contains 71 sound takes record in 24/96khZ and decline in 267 files

Ths library delivers a huge collection of quadrophonic hockey crowds from every perspective. And hockey crowds are different from other pro sporting crowds:
The NHL mandates that the music has to stop during play, which leaves every gasp, oh, and cheer free and clear of PA induced pollution.
This wrinkle in the rules of play means that pro hockey games are the ideal setting for recording arena crowds for any situation.
Our hockey crowds were recorded over the course of an NHL season and were done with unprecedented access. Entire games were recorded from various locations including:
– on the camera platform
– in the upper level seats in the hallway
– outside the doors pre and post game
– in the platinum level bar
– under the bleachers
– from the top of the penalty boxes
Each location was recorded in beautiful dual ORTF or double MS quad.
The end result is an immersive sound set that has been carefully edited and fully tagged with metadata. Finding the elements you need is simple and direct.
Pick this library up today and cover your arena crowd needs in style.

With A Sound Effect, Asbjoern has created a web site where our international community can browse, learn, and share the vast fruits of our labors. Together we are accelerating the very real potential power of sound design as a recognized art form.
A Sound Effect is an excellent resource for us to keep our animated films sounding unique and exciting.
A Sound Effect is a great asset to have discovered.
We found the site very easy to navigate, purchasing and downloads were effortless and the effects themselves are awesome! Asbjoern has done us all a great service.
We’ll definitely be back!
There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
We're always looking for new sounds to mangle, so when A Sound Effect had a holiday sale, I tried them out.
The purchase experience is really smooth and quick, and delivery is almost instant.
I'll definitely come back to them again in the future!
A Sound Effect is a wonderful resource for indie sound effects libraries. On top of that, it has some of the finest sound design, film and game audio interviews!
I often need very specific types of sounds so I've become a big supporter of independent recorders.
Until now I've always had to go to their individual websites. Now I can find them all in one place.
And, Asbjoern is great to work with!
A Sound Effect is a well curated boutique sound effects shop and a great place to find industry interviews and learning resources.
