What if you never again had to worry about the perfect ambience sounds for crowded concert audiences? What if you could just drag two files into your project and you’re in control over applauding, cheering or shouting masses? Our CROWDS – CONCERT AUDIENCES sound effects library does exactly that.
YOU’RE THE MASTER OF CEREMONY
CROWDS – CONCERT AUDIENCES is your best choice for designing realistic crowded concert audience ambiences with ease. Packed with thousands of single files for almost every possible scenario, we bring you the world’s probably biggest sound FX library of this kind and the ultimate concert audience toolkit. From smaller more intimate aulas or clubs to the huge and heavy sound of an enthusiastic open air or stadium atmosphere, you get a seemingly unlimited amount of real-live ambiences to conveniently pick from.
WHAT WE RECORDED
We went out and recorded aulas, studios, clubs, theatres, churches, concert halls, open air festivals and stadiums. Besides the mandatory applause we also captured varied audience reactions like cheering, shouting, mumbling and screaming. All this in multiple variations to perfectly blend them together. Most of the files come in quadrophonic recordings, meaning you have each the front and the rear recording as a stereo file and can mix it the way you want.
WHAT YOU GET
CROWDS – CONCERT AUDIENCES bursts at the seams. As one of our biggest SFX libraries yet, with a total size of more than 24GB and more than 4.500 files, it hardly leaves anything to desire.
EASE OF USE
Using those sounds couldn't be easier. Just drag and drop the SFX in your personal project and get mind-blowing results instantly.
The files come in 48kHz/24bit WAV files. All files contain extensive metadata to provide you with the fastest and easiest workflow possible. We’re convinced that this library will be the last CROWDS – CONCERT AUDIENCES SFX library you’ll buy for a very long time.
This library features crowds from 4 to 800 people. The highlight surely is very rare to come by recordings from inside a cinema (crowd chatting, leaving, afterparty, cueing, and clapping for the movie at the premiere). But with this library, you get lots of interior and exterior recordings of applause (in churches, at concerts, performances & press conferences.
Also, there is quite a lot of walla. Mostly in German language, there is also lots of indistinct talking that can be placed in any background.
Most of these recordings were performed with a matched pair of Earthworks QTC50 on a stand in ab configuration, so they have a very nice stereo image and no movement during the takes.
Some recordings feature hard to recreate crowd sounds like laughing, or camera clicking (motors) at a press confrerence, clearing throats, children applauding or playing or multiple feet walking. There is also a recording of a theatre / opera rehearsal on stage (no singing).
I had planned a bigger crowds library, but due to Corona, my recordings in music stadiums & at sporting events got canceled. If If I record and release them at a later point, you will get them at a discount when you bought this library. I thought I release it anyway, as many editors can’t record crowd atmos and loop group atm.

Editing footsteps in audio post-production can be time-consuming. Footstep Loops II is a sound library that delivers a comprehensive kit of footstep sound effects made to ease your daily work.
The collection contains footstep sounds of various shoes and surfaces, recorded in different paces and edited to continuous but lively 30-second sound loops.
The Footstep Loops II Sound Library covers a wide range of different footsteps:
Barefoot, Socks, Slippers, Flip-Flops, Sneakers on Wood, Sneakers on Concrete, Boots on Wood, Boots on Concrete, Heels on Wood, Heels on Stone;
Grass, Gravel, Forest, Foliage, Dry Foliage, Stones, Puddle, Mud, Snow;
Stairs up + down: Wooden Stairs, Metal Stairs, Stone Stairs
Each type of footsteps is available as a set of 13 sound files that represent a range from walking very slowly up to very speedy. Paces are sorted by Footsteps per Minute (FPM):
Ground Footsteps: from 40 FPM to 160 FPM
Stairs Footsteps: from 60 FPM to 180 FPM (up) / from 80 FPM to 200 FPM (down)
Since all (ground) footstep loops have the same FPM paces, they can be layered easily. E.g. you can add a puddle sound element to sneakers walking on concrete etc.
You can add clothing as a layer to make the movements sound more natural. The sounds of jeans & jacket fit to all ground footsteps. Furthermore, versions with well-balanced clothing sounds of all main footstep loops are already included as ready-to-use files!
Some experimental elements are also included in the library:
2 layers of floor creaks and one layer that adds the sound of keys in the pocket while walking.
Paces of the sound loops included in the Footstep Loops II sound library increase in steps of 10 FPM each. If you need a value in between, time-compress the file just a tiny bit – the quality loss is almost inaudible in modern digital audio workstations.

With A Sound Effect, Asbjoern has created a web site where our international community can browse, learn, and share the vast fruits of our labors. Together we are accelerating the very real potential power of sound design as a recognized art form.
A Sound Effect is an excellent resource for us to keep our animated films sounding unique and exciting.
A Sound Effect is a great asset to have discovered.
We found the site very easy to navigate, purchasing and downloads were effortless and the effects themselves are awesome! Asbjoern has done us all a great service.
We’ll definitely be back!
There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
We're always looking for new sounds to mangle, so when A Sound Effect had a holiday sale, I tried them out.
The purchase experience is really smooth and quick, and delivery is almost instant.
I'll definitely come back to them again in the future!
A Sound Effect is a wonderful resource for indie sound effects libraries. On top of that, it has some of the finest sound design, film and game audio interviews!
I often need very specific types of sounds so I've become a big supporter of independent recorders.
Until now I've always had to go to their individual websites. Now I can find them all in one place.
And, Asbjoern is great to work with!
A Sound Effect is a well curated boutique sound effects shop and a great place to find industry interviews and learning resources.
