Sri Lanka Ambiances II was recorded in 2017 on the same trip that resulted in Sri Lanka Ambiances 1. This collection takes us inland, to the mountain town of Ella, and the larger city of Kandy.
Ella has some distinctive sounds; not least the train snaking it’s way slowly through the mountains, it’s whistle reverberating between them. I also recorded distant distant loudspeaker “chants” or recitals, which, as far as I could gather, was a part of the Poya-days – a Sri Lankan full moon holiday.
Another personal highlight is the recording of an office clerk working an old-school mechanical typewriter behind the blinds of a small office in Kandy.
All in all, here are plenty of general Sri Lankan ambiances featuring traffic, barking dogs, tweeting birds and buzzing insects, as well as bits and pieces of walla.
Bells From Hell Vol. 2 features even more designed bells – this time with a sci-fi synth flavour.
A collection of bell tones were captured in the field by Our Audio Craftsmen, who then applied unique methods of processing and manipulation to the raw recordings. The resulting sounds include modulated resonances, eerie distortions, alien screams, deep throbbing, metallic rings, harsh stingers, glitchy chimes and much more.
Use these intense, unnatural sounds to disturb the senses of your sci-fi and horror audiences.
Sounds have been separated into the following categories:
Aliens Bells: Otherworldly, indecipherable resonances produced by extra-terrestrial lifeforces.
Ambient Bells: Reverberant rings with a ghostly atmosphere.
Lo-Fi Bells: Distorted, musical hits filled with foreboding.
Sci-Fi Bells: Metallic echoes and tones of an infiltrated spaceship.
All sounds are delivered in 24Bit 192kHz format allowing further sonic manipulation and have been meticulously edited and tagged with extensive UCS compliant metadata for ease of use.
York Vol. 1 encompasses the natural ambiences of the historical city of York. Hear the immersive voices of tourists at the Shambles, the musical chimes of the York Minster bells, or coins traditionally struck by hand in this homage to Yorkshire’s Viking town!
To create this library, field recordings of tourist attractions, voices, movement, cobblestone shuffling, creaking wood, train engines, church bells, hotel room tone, local traffic and more were captured and carefully edited by our Audio Craftsmen.
This library of candid sounds is perfect for designing textured interior and exterior atmospheres. You can also use its selection of bells and chime to layer a musical or religious element into your backgrounds.

First, our Audio Craftsmen recorded subsonic frequencies, voices, water, impacts, household items, glass, paper, a gramophone and more. They then made a sonic U-turn and reversed them. All sounds are delivered in 24Bit 192kHz format allowing further sonic manipulation, and have been meticulously edited and tagged with extensive UCS compliant metadata for ease of use.
Flesh, Bones & Gore Vol. 2 is the second instalment of 344 Audio’s hard-hitting gore sounds. This library features cringe-worthy bone crunches, voracious monster bites, and wet, textured tearing of flesh.
Using a selection of vegetables and fruit, our Audio Craftsmen performed and recorded unnerving, gory impacts intended to make audiences recoil. These were then edited for use in your horror-thriller projects and moments, including fight sequences, slasher attacks and creature transformations.
The library contains three folders:

We found the site very easy to navigate, purchasing and downloads were effortless and the effects themselves are awesome! Asbjoern has done us all a great service.
We’ll definitely be back!
There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
We're always looking for new sounds to mangle, so when A Sound Effect had a holiday sale, I tried them out.
The purchase experience is really smooth and quick, and delivery is almost instant.
I'll definitely come back to them again in the future!
A Sound Effect is a wonderful resource for indie sound effects libraries. On top of that, it has some of the finest sound design, film and game audio interviews!
I often need very specific types of sounds so I've become a big supporter of independent recorders.
Until now I've always had to go to their individual websites. Now I can find them all in one place.
And, Asbjoern is great to work with!
A Sound Effect is a well curated boutique sound effects shop and a great place to find industry interviews and learning resources.
