  • The “Seismic Activities” sound archive contains over 2500 different noises from vibrations, shocks and their resonances. We have taken the trouble to use a set-up of different natural sounds, such as frequency drops, thunder or the sound of deep rumbling, to control two structure-borne sound transducers.

The “Seismic Activities” sound archive contains over 2500 different noises from vibrations, shocks, and their resonances.
We have taken the trouble to use a set-up of different natural sounds, such as frequency drops, thunder, or the sound of deep rumbling, to control two structure-borne sound transducers. We have installed these converters in various locations. For example, we were at a company that produces large roller doors. There we shook all sorts of pipes, high racks, tool cabinets, gates, and the like.
In addition, we worked with many household items to create a variety of sound structures, which should make the use of “seismic activities” particularly diverse.
Almost all of the sounds were generated from a multi-channel set-up made up of Sennheiser MKH80 (ORTF), DPA 4060 (AB) and a Sony DR100. So you can expect the best sound quality. As always, a Sounddevices 744T and a Mixpre were used as recording devices.
As always, all files come with burned in metadata in open standards like iXml, BWAV, ID3 Chunk.

  • Door Sound Effects Cavernous Large Metal Gates Play Track 78 sounds included $62.50

Heavy metal gates struck and rattled in deep large underground caverns, comes in three distinct POVs.

We went deep underground in huge caverns to hit, shake, tremble, klang and rattle the mightiest of heavy metal gates. Heavy duty thick iron doors and the likes were waiting in silence to be strongly disturbed.

Hear the thunderous metal tremors spreading through the caverns, with three different point of views : close-up with the Sanken CO-100k, pleasant realistic distance with the Schoeps MS, and a few giant steps backwards allowing the subtle Lewitt 540S stereo pair to shine in glorious natural reverb.

  • Sounds from a classic red phone box.

The classic red phone box is something that has been part of the landscape, here in Britain, for all of my life and long before. I decided to capture as many sounds from them as I could before they disappear from use. In this pack you will find such sounds as…
The door opening and closing, a tapping on the window (this could often be heard if you took too long on a call and the next person on line was getting impatient), phone rings and dialling (current and vintage), a man talking away in a phone box, the operator answering a call, room tones and more. Most of these sounds will also be ok for anything visuals that portray the less attractive ‘modern’ glass booths that first appeared in the mid 80s.

  • The Gut-Wrenching Gore Library gathers 712 clips in 26.96 gigabytes. Recorded from 6 synchronized perspectives in 192 kHz, it shares horror sound design elements in two themes: male and female vocalizations and fruit destruction.

The vocalization showcase screams, choking, gurgling, gobbling, teeth and biting, and breathing, each with a variety of takes and performances. Body blows, stabs, hits, and gore were provided by tearing, breaking, and squeezing fruit, vegetables, and other food such as watermelons, leeks, porridge, yogurt, tomatoes and others.

The package includes Pro Tools and Reaper mixing sessions, and embedded metadata in every clip.

  • Household Doors HD is a fresh collection of sounds spanning a modern house including heavier entryway doors, hollow interior doors, desks, dressers/wardrobes, nightstands, toilet seats, kitchen and bathroom drawers and cabinets, bifold doors, China cabinets, French doors, sliding doors, filing cabinet… the list goes on.  Plus door knobs, locks, hinges, squeaks and creaks, and so much more.  And variation is key: hard, soft, fast and slow opens and closes.

  • This library is a small collection of handwriting foley on paper. It’s a mix of scribbles, doodles writing and punctuation that will save you alot of time when you need various writing movements and sounds.

All sounds recorded using the Neumann KMR81 and the MA5 Pre.

  • Discover the obscure sounds of 24 film cameras designed between the 1930s and 1970s. Carefully organised into 159 files, the 20th Century Cameras library offers over 3900+ sounds recorded at pristine 24bit/96kHz, thus allowing you to not only use the mechanical sounds of the cameras for their intended purpose, but also for sound design.

In order to help you navigate through the plethora of sounds available, rich SoundMiner metadata has been carefully crafted in order to describe the sounds as simply as possible, using multiple keywords and terms, where needed.

The library contains mostly mechanical sounds, such as the sound of shutter release at different shutter speeds, knobs, latches, wheels, and more, in addition to some Foley sounds as well.  Due to the age of the cameras, most of the shutter release sounds have slight variations between them, even at the same shutter speed.

The library also comes with a free eBook which can be viewed and downloaded here.

In addition to the SoundMiner metadata sheet down below, the eBook provides information as to how older cameras work, and more details as to how each of the cameras recorded for the library work. The book goes into a fair bit of detail as to what sounds each camera offers, without getting too technical.

If you have any questions about this library, feel free to quickly send me an e-mail. I tend to reply within minutes.
