Foley sound effects collections featuring everyday objects, movement and common, useful sounds
Farts are our bodies’ way of punctuating important moments. Everyone knows this and agrees on it. It’s basically accepted scientific fact.
And now, after decades of research and a couple days of intensely private foley work, George brings you 216 separate files of completely original yet hauntingly familiar fart sounds that will add ripe, satisfying definition to your every soundscape.
Employ George’s rich, mouth-made ass-noises to create emphasis, intrigue, a sense of accomplishment, desperation, true love, and more.
With over 20 minutes of quick bursts and ambient loops, we’re fairly confident when we say you really shouldn’t ever need more fart noises than this.
‘Tile Footwork’ by Badlands Sound includes 110 high-quality footsteps great for your projects.
Perfect for video games with many different variations within each file.
The library features different types of shoes; Boots, Heels, Dress Shoes, Slippers, Old Shoes, Sandals, and Trainers on two different surfaces – Tile and dirty tile.
From toilets to urinals, trains to planes, this library explores the many different flushing sounds that can be heard in American and European bathrooms.
The flushes were recorded in several varieties; the toilet lid up, the toilet lid down, the recorder close to the toilet, the recorder distant from the toilet, and even some of the refilling cycles as well as the dreaded sound when a toilet won’t flush.
Of all the flushes recorded, 55 are from European toilets, 29 from American toilets, 14 from urinals, 7 from a train, and 6 from a plane, for a total of 111 unique flushing sounds with over 50 minutes of refilling cycles.

These effects were recorded in a Victorian Town House in London, England. The house has been pretty much preserved from the day when its first owner died, with the original furniture, decorations and facilities.
Now a museum, I was granted access for a couple of hours one morning and I went from the basement to the top floor, recording the various doorbells and servants bells along with some of the old and heavy wooden doors. The bells are connected to various parts of the house by wires that run under the floorboards and are operated by a bell pull or handle in the rooms and at the front and rear doors of the house.
There are eight different bells, five in the basement and three in the attic rooms, all recorded at different lengths and intensities, a dinner gong and six doors, with openings and closings of different intensities. There are 111 effects in all, recorded at 96/24 Later that year, I stayed in an old tenement house in Edinburgh, Scotland, where almost every door creaked wonderfully.
These effects were recorded at 48/24 and are included as a bonus to the main collection. There’s also a couple of big metal door slams thrown in for good measure.
Vintage Telephones SFX library contains 244 sounds extracted from 10 vintage, rotary dial devices manufactured between the 1880s and 1980s. In this library, you’ll find three common ringing patterns (used in the USA, Australia, and Europe) for each telephone type, handset pickups/set downs, number dials 1-0, hook toggles, as well as single ringings with natural long ring decays to design your own ring timings according to your project needs.
As an addition to the standard telephone sounds, we have captured some experimental ones, that were generated by feeding the devices with random low frequencies, producing some really strange mechanical rattles, buzzes, glitches, and unusual bell rings.
If you want to make a rotary telephone device ring, without any landline nearby, head over to our blog here

Many of the subjects in this library are captured from a variety of perspectives and with a multitude of takes so you can just as easily drop them into containers and events within a dynamic game environment, or choose from a wide variety of performances to perfectly fit in a one-off film scene. The vast majority of the library (99%) is recorded in 96kHz resolution, with a small chunk (1%) captured in 48kHz. This was done to save you some disk space regarding some of the longer and larger recordings. KEY FEATURES:
World Of Secrets is a collection inspired by those mysterious and beautiful objects and furniture, meticulously designed by 15th to 19th century’s craftsmen. Those geniuses used their art to protect what had to remain confidential or secret.
One of the mentors of that art was Leonardo Da Vinci, master of inventions, designing incredible mechanisms for his machines. After much research, and a large photo review session, Red Libraries has designed this collection of modules to assemble as you wish.
A bookcase, a desk, a sarcophagus, a hidden door, a statuette, a cane with a retractable blade, a poison ring, an old grimoire.. each of them will reveal its secret mechanism, from the delicate parts assembled by the jeweler, to the smooth slides of hinges designed by the cabinetmaker.
This is a dying wood door from my sister’s garage. It works great for old cabins, cottages and barns.
Besides all the opens and closes, there are lots of creaky swinging moves to add detail or subtleties. Hard bangs and slams for drama. Plus grabs and handling to glue it all together.
Yabby Pumping or Pumpin’ Yabbies (as we call it down under) is a process of sucking sand, mud and water to catch bait for fishing. In this library you will find 62 sound effects that capture those sounds. All files are metatagged.
With A Sound Effect, Asbjoern has created a web site where our international community can browse, learn, and share the vast fruits of our labors. Together we are accelerating the very real potential power of sound design as a recognized art form.
A Sound Effect is an excellent resource for us to keep our animated films sounding unique and exciting.
A Sound Effect is a great asset to have discovered.
We found the site very easy to navigate, purchasing and downloads were effortless and the effects themselves are awesome! Asbjoern has done us all a great service.
We’ll definitely be back!
There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
We're always looking for new sounds to mangle, so when A Sound Effect had a holiday sale, I tried them out.
The purchase experience is really smooth and quick, and delivery is almost instant.
I'll definitely come back to them again in the future!
A Sound Effect is a wonderful resource for indie sound effects libraries. On top of that, it has some of the finest sound design, film and game audio interviews!
I often need very specific types of sounds so I've become a big supporter of independent recorders.
Until now I've always had to go to their individual websites. Now I can find them all in one place.
And, Asbjoern is great to work with!
A Sound Effect is a well curated boutique sound effects shop and a great place to find industry interviews and learning resources.
