  • City Life Sound Effects Sounds of Cairo Play Track 49 sounds included, 207 mins total $60

This sound effects archive contains sounds recorded in Cairo and Alexandria in September 2015. I spent a month in Cairo recording sounds. There are many crowds, traffic recordings and recordings of prayer calls. The city has 20 million people, 5 million cars and it never sleeps. It is truly a fantastic, noisy place, recorded in glorious 96 kHz/24 bit. I hope you enjoy the archive.

  • This is a collection of snowy, icy, slushy, crunchy winter traffic. Single car passes, busy city roads, distant skylines, village roads, highways. All files are 96khz 24bit with metadata, and recorded with 2 x Sennheiser mkh 8040, mkh 416, Audio Technica BP4025 and Sony D100.

  • Environments & Ambiences Pacific Ocean Play Track 55 sounds included, 65 mins total $39

This SFX library features recordings of the Pacific Ocean at various locations along the beach within Refugio State Park. The incoming waves collide with large rock formations, creating great wave impacts and rushing water through small channels and hollow rocks. A variety of mic placements at various distances from the ocean were used, from directly over the water to larger distances, recording ambience behind massive rock walls and inside natural beach caves. In addition, a hydrophone captured underwater currents from waves splashing into small tide pools on the rocks.

  • Worldwide Rivers & Waterfalls is a thorough collection of 99 sound recordings made around the world. It comprises ‘loopeable’ sounds of a wide variety of water streams from tiny small to broad wide rivers.

They were recorded in mountains, countryside, on bridges, under bridges, in caves, in tunnel, underwater (hydrophones), and throughout various geological features, as narrow canyon, mighty rivers, shallow streams running on Pebbles, Icy cold flow from melted snow, or hot boiling streams from active geothermal terrains.

Most of the captures are declined with various perspectives and distances from the sound source, allowing better integration in movie scenes or games. The library was recorded in these countries: Spain, Switzerland, Iceland, Georgia, France, Canada, Thailand, Ecuador, and Slovakia.

    WHAT’S INSIDE:

    – Diverse Geological Features: boiling hot spring, icy cold stream, narrow canyon, wide, shallow,…
    – Various Distances & Perspectives
    – Highly focused and meticulously edited sounds
    – Ready to use Loop

  • Welcome to Paris, the city of love. In my short visit to Paris, I recorded 5 tracks in ambisonic format, 48Khz and 24 bits HD. As always, great ambience files to use in your production.

  • Marrakech, one of the most beautiful cites in Africa. Situated at the foot of the Atlas mountains, the imperial city of Marrakech is large, noisy, polluted and smelly. But Marrakech is also fascinating, full of history, the cultural center of Morocco and beautiful. If you enjoy a daily assault on all your senses then you’ll have a lot of fun.

This small collection of sounds includes a variety of ambiences, feels, and classics Marrakech Sounds. They are part of a 2-day fast visit to the imperial city.

They include sounds from Yamaa el Fna Square, markets, cafes and medinas – imperial sounds in this Micro Collection.

All the files have metadata embedded for great Soundminer type programs. They both include Spanish and English descriptions.

  • This collection includes small to big waves on surfaces such as cliffs, beaches, rocky coasts, tetrapods.
Captured from close, middle, and distant perspectives at the Bousou peninsula, Chiba, Japan.

  • TOWN & COUNTRY provides a wide range of professional sounds for creating perfectly convincing and realistic town and country ambiences in high-end quality. In addition to a broad and solid foundation of town and country lifestyle, we focused on credible ambiences that are full of detail and at the same time leave enough room to place further sound design in the foreground.

    MAJOR STRENGTH: FLEXIBILITY!
The main part of this library consists of extensive – mostly loopable – background ambiences with varying daytimes and locations of town & country sceneries. More detailed and easily accessible sounds of e.g. camp fire, farm animals or an extraordinarily impressive file with flies on a roadkill are another strong addition to your SFX pool.

More than 200 files of vivid town and country days and nights give you all the flexibility you need to bridge the gap between a very rural country life with animals and man-made town sounds. TOWN & COUNTRY has all necessary components to design organic and grounded acoustic backdrops while keeping a naturalistic feel and human touch.

  • Bird Sound Effects Ravens and Robins Play Track 22 sounds included, 19 mins total $49

Recorded in Eastern Oregon’s Great Basin and High Desert Region – classic sounds of the American West, forest or desert.

These tracks are stripped highlights from the hundreds of hours of field recordings I use to make my films. A number of them include the birds fluttering and making deep natural calls right next to the recorder – about as close as you can hope to get of birds in the wild.

  • Train Sound Effects TRAIN Play Track 105+ sounds included, 319 mins total $49

A wide selection of local trains and subways from Japan, featuring recordings such as pass-bys, departing and arriving, interiors, rail chimes which really distinguish from other and many many more. Train and subway stations from Japan are also included to complete the railway atmosphere. A total of more than 5 hours of recordings are included.

  • Environments & Ambiences Wave Break Vol. 2 Play Track 50 sounds included, 286 mins total $50

‘Wave Break Vol.2’ is a compilation of 50 recordings (286 minutes total) capturing the natural sounds of the sea breaking on land. This library follows on from ‘Wave Break Vol.1’ but is uniquely different as it features pristine tropical water recordings from Taveuni, a tropical Island in Fiji.

  • UCS-compliant, ambient recordings from various industrial sites, including the port of Aarhus with its bulk cargo and container terminals. Most of the sounds are quite generic though, and could be used in many different contexts. Some recordings are teeming with activity, while others feature deserted, yet humming and droning, industrial landscapes. Lots of HVAC with fans and pumps. Containers are moved, gravel is unloaded, engines are running. Very little wind, and hardly any legible speech. A few of the sounds are cut as seamless loops.

Most of the sounds were originally recorded with a Sennheiser MKH60/30 M/S setup. A few sounds appear in both mono and stereo versions, where the stereo version are X/Y derived from the M/S source files and the mono versions are simply the Mid channel. I did this, because most people seem to prefer X/Y files for post-work, rather than M/S – but a down-mix of X/Y to mono would be inferior to using the original Mid-mic signal. 4 of the sounds were recorded with a quasi binaural setup. All sounds were captured in Aarhus, Denmark.

  • Water & Ocean Sounds New York Gorges and Waterfalls Play Track 48+ sounds included, 70 mins total From: $35

New York Gorges and Waterfalls has the hidden sounds of waterfalls from the secluded gorges of New York State. The gorge walls shoot upward 150 meters, creating beautiful stone sanctuaries of sound. Rushing water cuts deep through smooth shale outcrops, with the lack of pebbles giving these falls a uniquely polished and frictionless character. In this collection, you’ll receive sounds ranging from murmuring 1-meter cascades to thunderous 65-meter behemoths. If you need waterfalls distinct to the Appalachians, listen to New York Gorges and Waterfalls.

  • Environments & Ambiences Quad City Berlin Play Track 34+ sounds included, 108 mins total From: $99

Quad City Berlin is a comprehensive collection of quadrophonic recordings from the busy and multifaceted german capital, the second largest city in the European Union.
It was created to work as an internationally usable library of urban ambiences while still capturing the unique sounds of Berlin. It’s a set of extensive and versatile recordings focused on large open spaces and the nice fat low-end hum of major city traffic.

Quad City Berlin comes in two flavors:
    – Quad + MS: four channels with omni-directional mics + two channels mid-side (6 channels total, please check out diagram below. 102 files)
    – Stereo only: the two front channels of the quad setup only (A-B stereo, 34 files)

The locations covered in Quad City Berlin include: rooftops, main roads & squares, residential areas, parks, freeways, room ambiences

The recording session took place in the fall of 2015 where birdsong is usually very sparse and the weather can still be sunny and dry. Thanks to these conditions, most of the recordings contain no bird chirping at all. All recordings where made using the same microphone setup: four omni-directional mics with equal distances to each other and one MS rig at the front side.

Depending on the location, the omnis where placed up to 3 meters apart to deliver a truly wide sound that works well on a cinema mixing stage. The MS signal serves as both a center signal (if needed) and a stereo option that is also mono compatible.
The four omnis where the high-end DPA 4006 (Bruel&Kjaer) microphones with a remarkable quality in the low frequencies. They work exceptionally well for city background hum and low engine sounds producing a very full and warm, yet precise sound.

  • Ambient Walla is a collection of crowds and walla taken from a number of locations and situations. Everything from crowded restaurants and busy campuses, to more intimate and sparse moments, such as cocktail parties. Most tracks were captured with the Zoom H6, Zoom F6.

I wanted this SFX library to sound more natural, rather than creating something that already exists. These tracks are more subtle and are aimed at smaller and more dispersed situations, but can also be used for larger situations.

As well, a majority of the “campus” crowd and walla sounds were captured from the Google and Apple campuses. There are a number of quality tracks with both close and distant perspectives.

    Wind Ambiences | Echotope

Versatile and pure wind for detailed backgrounds

We used a double NOS setup, with Sennheiser microphones and  recorded in various conditions, including choppy, gusty, whistling, howling, calm, airy, swirling, and more. The slightly wider placement in NOS compared to ORTF helps to diffuse the less tonal wind characteristics.

Most of our recordings were made during winter, when the barren trees provided a tonal quality that allowed the wind’s characteristics to stand out without being overpowered by noisy leaves. We included both very tonal and more noise-based layers in the collection, making it easy to create layers and control the ratio between them. We also added nine variations of expressive mono recordings that were captured in close proximity to sticks and other debris, creating tonal resonances that sound beautifully natural and full of character.

Thoughtful UCS naming and accurate metadata

We have given careful consideration to the file naming and metadata of the collection, keeping filenames short and concise while providing extra information in the metadata to help narrow search criteria.
