River Flows: Over & Under library brings running river sounds, captured over and under the surface. It features 80 HQ audio files, ranging from cascading waterfalls to running rivers and babbling brooks and creeks. The total duration of the collection is 4 hours with the majority of the recordings captured during wintertime, which makes them uniquely free from any bird and insect audio backdrop.
Overall, the collection caters to projects that require environmental sounds of flowing, emerging/submerging bodies of water as well as underwater ambiences.

River Estuary is a series of recordings centred around the River Deben estuary in Suffolk, an area famous for its natural beauty and wildlife. It is a treasure trove of sounds that capture the ambience of this serene environment, with a focus on the wading bird calls that give the estuary its unique sonic character.
The library was mostly recorded on a boat stationed in Woodbridge in the late winter of 2018 with private access to the boatyard, allowing me to record safely over night. I continued the recordings up until late summer, making trips to other areas along the Deben in between. I was also granted permission to record on the privately owned Sutton Hoo side of the Deben, another of Suffolk’s areas of outstanding historical significance and beauty, equally full of life but further away from the rumbling traffic and human life coming from the town.
It includes the sounds of curlews, oystercatchers, redshanks, geese, swans, ducks and various other wading bird calls, as well as general ambience recordings of the area at high tide and low tide and all hours of the day. The night calls that echo over the expanse of the river at low tide are particularly evocative.
The library was recorded entirely in 24bit/96k with a double Mid/Side rig consisting of Sennheiser MKH60/30 and 8040 mics, encoded to 5.1 Wav. A stereo option is also available at a lower price. As a bonus there is a collection of bird call spot FX taken from the recordings with noise reduction applied, for those who may need to add individual wading bird calls to their ambience.
Large cathedrals & small chapels each with their unique characteristics and reverb. Recorded at 8 different churches this library features walla, chair creaks, coughs, prayers, foot traffic & movement.
All sounds were recorded using the DPA 5100 and Sound Devices 788T. This library is available in stereo or 5.0 (5.0 package contains stereo mix downs as well).

What is Odds and Ends?
Let me soothe your worried mind with a short concise explanation:
Odds and Ends is basically a general SFX library, but smaller. Most general libraries total up to about 100gb or more, whereas this is a lot of the same material, but aimed to supplement your already existing library.
Odds and Ends contains a variety of ambiances, studio foley, and unique one off recordings that couldn't be expanded into a full library; for instance recordings of a baby alligator chirping, or a small collection of submarine ambiances.
On that note, one of the most extensive portions of the library are 8gb of various stereo ambiances. Due to how much I traveled during the production of this library, I’ve covered quite a few locations, from the Pacific NW to the Deep South.
Take a look through the metadata sheet provided below, and give the demo a listen.
With the warm weather of spring comes this sound pack full of moving water sound effects. From the gentle babble of a brook to the rushing speed of a waterfall to the soft trickle of a nearby stream, this pack is designed to add realism and movement to your next project.
Recorded in a variety of provincial parks around beautiful British Columbia, Canada, all sounds were recorded in 5 minute takes, then edited down to 3 minute loopable stereo files. Extreme care was taken into isolating all recordings from the surrounding environment, all while capturing a natural and lifelike sample of the snow melt and other natural water sources.
Vietnam – a country of many contrasts – with tranquil nature sites on one hand and polluted roads with heavy traffic on the other. Ambiences from… Vietnam is a sound library that encaptures Southeast Asian people, culture and lifestyle. It includes international airports, Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), Phu Quoc island and Hanoi.
Introducing the world’s first snowball impact sound effect library:
In the winter of 2014 in Northern Finland, SFX creator Pasi Pitkänen threw over 250 snowballs onto thirteen different surfaces with a lot of variations. This collection has everything you need to recreate that snowball fight scene in your project or if you are just looking for some nice textures to enrich your impact sounds.
You get the sounds in two formats: 96 KHz 24 bit and in 44.1 KHz 16 bit, for more convenient ways of utilizing the sounds in games and other media.
Variety 1 is a selection of our favourite, most popular sound clips. It includes 150 sound effects from babies to burps, crowds to computers, subways to switches.
It is a mix between vehicles, household, office, human sound effects and more in both specific sound effects, and lush stereo ambiences, weighing in just under 2 gigabytes of audio. Includes 18 fields of bonus Soundminer metadata.
Household is a collection of over 400 high definition production elements in and around the house.
From doorbells and drawers to slidedoors and creaking doors.

Whale Song is a collection of underwater recordings of humpback whales singing and calling in the Indian Ocean, off the coast of Madagascar. These soundscapes were recorded in pseudo-stereo with two hydrophones and also include the sounds of corals, fish, shrimp and water movement.
Humpback whales migrate to this part of the Indian Ocean every year to mate and give birth. Their fascinating songs and calls can be heard underwater from tens of miles away, however reaching this part of the world can prove quite challenging as seen in the second part of the teaser.

There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
We're always looking for new sounds to mangle, so when A Sound Effect had a holiday sale, I tried them out.

I often need very specific types of sounds so I've become a big supporter of independent recorders.
Until now I've always had to go to their individual websites. Now I can find them all in one place.
And, Asbjoern is great to work with!
A Sound Effect is a well curated boutique sound effects shop and a great place to find industry interviews and learning resources.
