One of the greatest cities in the world, New York is always a whirlwind of activity, with famous sites at every turn and never enough time to see them all. Some people come here to enjoy the Broadway shows; others come specifically to shop; and many come simply to see the sights: the Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building, Brooklyn Bridge, Central Park, historic neighborhoods, and numerous world famous museums. All of them offer unique perspectives of the city. Any time of year and any time of day there are an endless array of things to see and do in New York.

We visited New York last summer and once again, we have recorded recorded 22 beautiful tracks in ambisonic format, decoded and mixed in Dolby ATMOS at AdHoc Studios. The New York city sounds will give you the essence of the most iconic film city in the world. AmbiX First Order Ambisonic, Dolby ATMOS 7.12, 5.1 and ST files have been mastered with Pro Tools HD 2018 system are included in the package.

  • New York Gorges and Waterfalls has the hidden sounds of waterfalls from the secluded gorges of New York State. The gorge walls shoot upward 150 meters, creating beautiful stone sanctuaries of sound. Rushing water cuts deep through smooth shale outcrops, with the lack of pebbles giving these falls a uniquely polished and frictionless character. In this collection, you’ll receive sounds ranging from murmuring 1-meter cascades to thunderous 65-meter behemoths. If you need waterfalls distinct to the Appalachians, listen to New York Gorges and Waterfalls.

  • City Life Night Cityscapes Play Track 67 sounds included, 186 mins total $65 $40

Night Cityscapes delivers the urban sounds of a sleeping city. The collection includes more than 3 hours of night and early morning ambiences that are recorded in Sofia, Bulgaria. All recordings were made between 01:30 and 05:30 am. This collection will uncover city in a way you may not know.

You will find atmospheres of quiet and empty small streets in the city center, where can be heard some air conditioners, urban hum and light traffic in the far background.

Lonely sounds of traffic lights. One single taxi passes and disappears into the night, and then it is followed by silence. Empty streets and squares with distant voices and footsteps going somewhere. Major boulevards with light night traffic. Industrial empty streets, where electric buzz and big air conditioners can be heard.

Very, very early morning atmospheres filled with singing birds eager to foreshadow the beginning of a new day.

‘Night Cityscapes’ will fill the missing part of your nocturnal urban atmospheres.

  • DESCRIPTION:

Here you can find 61 HD quad surround ambiences of the wild North European nature. They were recorded during a two-week recording trip on foot and by rowing boat in the hot July of 2018 at the heart of the national park in Karelia, North-Western Russia. Spacious, transparent, immersive and absolutely free from any technogenic and anthropogenic sounds. Still air and wind through grass or trees. Birds and insects from single and sparse at the cloudy morning to dense and busy at the hot sunny noon, a mosquito chorus at dawn and ear-piercing grasshoppers at sunset. Distant thunder rolls and disturbed Arctic Loon, huge old trees creaking and grumbling in the wind.

  • DESCRIPTION:

This second volume comprises 71 quad surround ambiences of the hot summer at the national park in Karelia, North-Western Russia. Carrying you away into the land of Mother Nature, untouched with technogenic and anthropogenic sounds. Busy morning of birds and insect in a marsh, streams in forests and a beaver’s dam, a rapid roaring river in a canyon. Mystically whispering and aggressively chattering winds through reed. A swallow feeding their nestlings in front of the microphone. Still evening over lakes with echoing voices of a Hobby falcon, Arctic Loon calls and splashy takeoff runs. Otherworldly silent night with Longhorn beetle larvae creaking communications in the trees at the shore, a bat at 30 kHz and a large beetle cruising around the mic like a helicopter with rumble down to infrasound.

  • This library of environmental recordings is the culmination of three recording expeditions to the stunningly gorgeous Pacific Northwest. We visited a variety of locations ranging from urban Vancouver, Portland, and Seattle to the wild and untamed Olympic Peninsula. We captured dynamically disparate sounds such as a noisy Seattle shipyard and the quietest location in the continental US – deep within the primordial Hoh Rainforest. There are excellent crowd wallas, and contemplative mountain streams. From beaches to mountain tops to luxury high rises no environment was left un-recorded! This is what the Northwest sounds like!

In all, this library features 69 individual files totaling over three hours of runtime. Total un-zipped file size is over six gigabytes. All sounds have been edited to remove discernable dialog and unwanted noises. What’s left is pure, loop-able ambience suitable for no-fuss editing.

All sounds were captured on a Sound Devices 744T recorder. Microphones used include a Sanken CSS-5 stereo mic and a matched stereo pair of Sennheiser 8040s in ORTF configuration. All recordings are accompanied by a high quality photograph for reference and tagged with Pro Tools searchable metadata.

    Bonus library included:

As a special incentive we will also include a bonus mini-library of ambiences from the Irish countryside that James recorded on a recent trip home! Highlights include some great mountain winds and a rare recording of a starling formation taking flight!

        • This library brings you various obnoxious sips, slurps, gulps, gurgles, and more! Obnoxious Sips was recorded using a variety of drinking containers such as glass and plastic bottles and cups, an aluminum can, and some interestingly obnoxious sips from a straw!!
