    Wind Textures II continues with the series started on Wind Textures. New textures and locations have been included in this collection in order to make it as diverse as possible.

    • Urban areas: empty streets howling and whistling, trees rustling, plastic and cloth materials flapping.
    • Rural areas: several meadows and open areas have been covered, with and without flora.
    • Indoor perspectives with wind howling and whistling through windows at different speeds. Other interior locations included are two shelters and an old attic, where wood was resonating all over.
    • Wind through vegetation: bushes, trees, palm leaves, lanceolate leaves.
    • LOM Geofon was used both in stereo and mono configurations. Attached to several materials (chimneys, ACs, bottles, chains) blasted by wind. Depending on the homogeneity of the sounds, these files have been delivered either in mono as two different channels or in stereo. You can always split them up.
    • Intensity varies from calm breezes to gusts of up to 80 km/h.
    • Recorded around Southern England.

  • Ambisonic Sound Effects Ambisonic Forest – Spring Play Track 14 sounds included, 166 mins total $80

    The library is a collection of atmosphere recordings of different sized/aged spruce and birch forests during spring time in Eastern Finland.

    In these recordings you can hear a variety of common birds during different times of the day and also change of the weather such as multiple states of the wind or even sudden snowing.

    The library contains 28 files (14 B-format and 14 Stereo files) captured at 24bit/96kHz. Total length of about 2.5 hours.

    B-format files are in FuMa format.
    With the free SoundField SurroundZone 2 plugin you can convert the B-format files into your preferred format (stereo, 5.0, 5.1, 6.0, 6.1, 7.0 or 7.1 surround). There's also other plugin options such as Harpex-B.

    These recordings are very raw. Very little or none denoising, EQ or any other processing method was used.

Ambiances and textures of woodlands, meadows, bush-lands, mountain slopes, etc. Animal sounds/vocalization, individual clean recordings (see tracklist) with scientific names included in the metadata description chunk. All recordings are captured in pristine nature in: morning, daytime, night time and all year round. Recordings are free of noise pollution and air traffic, ready to use in your project. This library may be interesting to sound designers working in the game industry for making more realistic worlds or even for those working in nature history documentary production. Here you can find ambiances and other possible sounds missing from original footage (often the case with telephoto lens shooting).     MAFX019 Volcano is a collection of unique sounds recorded in Ethiopia’s Afar region at Erta Ale volcano. Erta Ale is one of only a handful of volcanoes with lava lakes in the world, situated in the Danakil Depression, one of the hottest and most inhospitable places in the world. The name means Smoking Mountain in the local Afarigna language and Erta Ale does not disappoint in this regard, as you can see in the video. This place is also known as the Gateway to Hell, an appropriate moniker given the 47C/117F temperatures and lots of dead fauna we encountered.

    There were only a few lava pits when the library was recorded but plenty of continuous and violent toxic gas releases. Occasionally the ground would move creating low frequency rumbles and debris falling. I had to use a long boompole in order to suspend my trusty MKH8060 over the edge and I improvised a spaced omni array by taping the MikroUsi mics to a video tripod ballhead. The expedition wasn’t 100% risk-free but it was more than worth it for these beautiful sounds.
