  • Worldwide Rivers & Waterfalls is a thorough collection of 99 sound recordings made around the world. It comprises ‘loopeable’ sounds of a wide variety of water streams from tiny small to broad wide rivers.

They were recorded in mountains, countryside, on bridges, under bridges, in caves, in tunnel, underwater (hydrophones), and throughout various geological features, as narrow canyon, mighty rivers, shallow streams running on Pebbles, Icy cold flow from melted snow, or hot boiling streams from active geothermal terrains.

Most of the captures are declined with various perspectives and distances from the sound source, allowing better integration in movie scenes or games. The library was recorded in these countries: Spain, Switzerland, Iceland, Georgia, France, Canada, Thailand, Ecuador, and Slovakia.

    WHAT’S INSIDE:

    – Diverse Geological Features: boiling hot spring, icy cold stream, narrow canyon, wide, shallow,…
    – Various Distances & Perspectives
    – Highly focused and meticulously edited sounds
    – Ready to use Loop

  • This collection includes small to big waves on surfaces such as cliffs, beaches, rocky coasts, tetrapods.
Captured from close, middle, and distant perspectives at the Bousou peninsula, Chiba, Japan.

  • TOWN & COUNTRY provides a wide range of professional sounds for creating perfectly convincing and realistic town and country ambiences in high-end quality. In addition to a broad and solid foundation of town and country lifestyle, we focused on credible ambiences that are full of detail and at the same time leave enough room to place further sound design in the foreground.

    MAJOR STRENGTH: FLEXIBILITY!
The main part of this library consists of extensive – mostly loopable – background ambiences with varying daytimes and locations of town & country sceneries. More detailed and easily accessible sounds of e.g. camp fire, farm animals or an extraordinarily impressive file with flies on a roadkill are another strong addition to your SFX pool.

More than 200 files of vivid town and country days and nights give you all the flexibility you need to bridge the gap between a very rural country life with animals and man-made town sounds. TOWN & COUNTRY has all necessary components to design organic and grounded acoustic backdrops while keeping a naturalistic feel and human touch.

  • Bird Sound Effects Ravens and Robins Play Track 22 sounds included, 19 mins total $49

Recorded in Eastern Oregon’s Great Basin and High Desert Region – classic sounds of the American West, forest or desert.

These tracks are stripped highlights from the hundreds of hours of field recordings I use to make my films. A number of them include the birds fluttering and making deep natural calls right next to the recorder – about as close as you can hope to get of birds in the wild.

  • Water & Ocean Sounds New York Gorges and Waterfalls Play Track 48+ sounds included, 70 mins total From: $35

New York Gorges and Waterfalls has the hidden sounds of waterfalls from the secluded gorges of New York State. The gorge walls shoot upward 150 meters, creating beautiful stone sanctuaries of sound. Rushing water cuts deep through smooth shale outcrops, with the lack of pebbles giving these falls a uniquely polished and frictionless character. In this collection, you’ll receive sounds ranging from murmuring 1-meter cascades to thunderous 65-meter behemoths. If you need waterfalls distinct to the Appalachians, listen to New York Gorges and Waterfalls.

It’s more than 2.5 hours of material full of character with a focus on a cinematic sound avoiding birds or man-made noise. Wind Ambiences | Echotope

Versatile and pure wind for detailed backgrounds

We used a double NOS setup, with Sennheiser microphones and  recorded in various conditions, including choppy, gusty, whistling, howling, calm, airy, swirling, and more. The slightly wider placement in NOS compared to ORTF helps to diffuse the less tonal wind characteristics.

Most of our recordings were made during winter, when the barren trees provided a tonal quality that allowed the wind’s characteristics to stand out without being overpowered by noisy leaves. We included both very tonal and more noise-based layers in the collection, making it easy to create layers and control the ratio between them. We also added nine variations of expressive mono recordings that were captured in close proximity to sticks and other debris, creating tonal resonances that sound beautifully natural and full of character.

Thoughtful UCS naming and accurate metadata

We have given careful consideration to the file naming and metadata of the collection, keeping filenames short and concise while providing extra information in the metadata to help narrow search criteria.

  • Geese‘ contains a massive array of wild bird sound effects recorded from various canals, rivers, reservoirs and lakes. We are the first in the world to release a nature library with a specific, extensive collection of Goose sounds, which includes flapping wings, fighting, footsteps, paddling, swimming and jumping into water, eating various types of foods, a wide array of vocalisations including groups(gaggles), pairs, individuals and much, much more.

Our Audio Craftsmen meticulously planned our field recording sessions considering time of day, weather conditions and different locations aiming to capture the full range of behaviour these animals display on a daily basis. We visited a variety of spots and spent time learning the behaviours of Geese, allowing us to capture their reactions as both individuals and groups of varying size. We recorded sounds during a variety of scenarios including eating food, fighting each other, and encountering ducks/other water birds. The huge difference in personalities between these birds allowed us to capture distinct vocalisations made while being fed, acting calm, aggressive or being threatened by rivals to their territory (even making sounds that could be mistaken for a dog, chicken or dinosaur!).

We also recorded sounds from different perspectives which include tunnels (both inside and from a far), a gaggle of Geese approaching from a distance, fighting, flying and swimming by as well as close up sounds of eating, pecking and more.

Moreover, all the sounds provided are dry in 192kHz 24Bit. Allowing for uses varying from nature documentaries through to excellent source sounds for creature and vocal design.

  • Niger Sahara Desert, ambiences and sound effects library By Iben Haahr Andersen

Back in 2004 Iben Haahr Andersen travelled to Niger on an amazing journey into the Sahara desert.

Her job was to follow a large group of nomads, travelling on camels back for 10 days to the desert town of Agadez to purchase sweet dates, which they would later sell to make a living.

Through 10 days of extreme heat and hard labour, Iben recorded everything from the most beautiful and quiet starry nights, to daily life and struggle of the nomad people, sandstorms and desert wind, an interior mountain well, and grunts and cries from nomads precious desert animals, the camels.

Iben came back to Denmark with a huge amount of DAT tapes, which now have been mastered in Protools, spectral repaired in Izotope RX, and with great help from Tim Nielsen & Michal Fojcik made UCS-Compliant in Soundminer, for a very special set of audio recordings!

117 stereo tracks recorded on to a portable DAT recorder @ 48khz 16 bit. Set is about 4gb big when unzipped.

Mics used, Sennheiser Mkh416 with an ATE 208 Emesser on top.

  • Ambisonic Sound Effects Ambisonics – Village Play Track 69 sounds included, 249 mins total From: $40

Compiling over 4 hours of ambisonic recordings, Village is focused on providing plenty of options for sound designers and editors alike on building rich, neutral soundscapes for quiet urban environments, where long takes allow you to loop said sounds wherever you please, build a scene in VR or other multimedia projects with leeway and versatility.

Inside this library you’ll find quiet streets, moderate traffic recorded in multiple locations, uncrowded beach soundscapes, natural parks and fountains; alongside typical vehicle transportation from Sintra’s village, like 40mins of tram interiors, a 25min tuktuk ride and regular trains recorded from several positions.

All sounds were recorded with RØDE’s NT-SF1 ambisonic microphone and given the nature of this particular format, you can easily convert these B Format audio files onto any desired format (like regular stereo, 5.1 or 7.1 surround) with the correct plug-in, like RØDE’s own SoundField, which happens to be free to download. These are raw recordings where little to no hum or hiss removal techniques were applied.

  • 71 quad surround ambiences of virgin nature around lakes and brooks bring you to the hot summer at the national park in Karelia, North-Western Russia. Carrying you away into the land of Mother Nature, untouched with technogenic and anthropogenic sounds. Busy morning of birds and insect in a marsh, streams in forests and a beaver’s dam, a rapid roaring river in a canyon. Mystically whispering and aggressively chattering winds through reed. A swallow feeding their nestlings in front of the microphone. Still evening over lakes with echoing voices of a Hobby falcon, Arctic Loon calls and splashy takeoff runs. Otherworldly silent night with Longhorn beetle larvae creaking communications in the trees at the shore, a bat at 30 kHz and a large beetle cruising around the mic like a helicopter with rumble down to infrasound.

10 % of the library’s revenue goes to nature preserves and animal shelters.

  • The harvester Claas Lexion 530 Library contains all the sounds a decent harvester produces on the field in one day. We were allowed to accompany this gigantic 300+ horsepower machine on the field and document all its activities. It roars and sounds harsh and dangerous.

Whether you are looking for realistic farm sounds or want to design a futuristic vehicle. The harvester files are ready to use or very easy to manipulate as they deliver sounds across all frequencies captured with high end equipment. Both helium-3 harvesting spaceships and apocalypse scrap transporters can be produced in just a few steps.

In addition to the standard exterior recordings such as bypass, away and up, the library also includes on-board recordings from the cab, from the platform, as well as various mic positions such as directly above and beside the cutting knives, on the belt, at the unloading pipe and many more. In addition, there are selected foley sounds, as well as a few distant atmo sounds.

70% of the revenue will benefit the non-profit association “Bulldogs for Kids e.V.” and by this benefit chronical ill children.

    The Farming Machine Bundle:

You can also get this library as part of The Farming Machine Bundle, containing the files of “Harvester Klaas Lexion 530 (SOE001)” and “Kramer KL11 Oldtimer Tractor (1955) (SOE002)“, as well as 165mb of additional tractor recordings (on board mono files of the tractor Fendt 304 LSA).

  • Environments & Ambiences Suburbs of Chicago: Woods Play Track 500+ sounds included, 103 mins total $22

Suburbs of Chicago: Woods is the 6th in the Suburbs of Chicago Series. This pack takes us deep into another suburban forest preserve. This one drapes the sky in tall trees, providing shade and plenty of trails to walk through. Watch out for small critters jumping around as one recording in this pack caught a squirrel hopping through tall grass and weeds. There are plenty of grass and leaves rustles along with bird chirps. There is also a recording over 10 minutes at the intersection, filled with passing and idle vehicles, right out side the wooded forest preserve. Recorded at 24 bit, 192 kHz using the Sennheiser MKH8050 and MKH30 into a Sound Devices Mix Pre-6.

Over an hour and a half of recordings, all metadata tagged and updated using the Universal Category System in Soundminer, Basehead, and Soundly. As in the all the other packs in this series, you will hear distant traffic and planes throughout.

  • Discover the quaint charm of a sleepy Northern English town, on a cold and windy night, the sound of windchimes shimmering through the air.

The Dormant Village Library was recorded in a small village in North Yorkshire, England, on the night before Christmas. It was very cold and windy, and there were almost no people around, as everyone was sipping hot cocoa in their homes.

The library was recorded in a few different locations, some close to the little traffic that was still present, and some further away. The recordings were then polished and edited down to just about 12 minutes, preserving the essence of the location.

In addition to the descriptive SoundMiner metadata embedded in the files, I have also added markers in iZotope RX, which can be read in some versions of SoundMiner, Reaper, etc.

The markers indicate small sonic events, such as distant, melodic windchimes, or when the wind picks up, allowing you to understand what happens throughout the recording without having to listen to the whole thing.

If you have any questions about this library, feel free to quickly send me an e-mail. I tend to reply within minutes.
