Spring Box is 13 minutes/453mb of shrieking, droning, scraping metallic sounds – made by bowing a steel spring bolted to an empty steel enclosure. 81 separate files – recorded in 24bit/96kHz using Primo EM172 and JrF contact microphones.
Here's a collection of eerie sounds for your next horror/sci-fi/ambient project. Everything from low rumbling and rattling, to high pitched, harmonics-laden screams; long, drawn-out sounds and short dings and twangs. Of course they sound really good when pitched down, too (the last 3 sounds in the preview are shifted down to quarter speed)!
The Spring Box is an old 19 inch rack enclosure, which I gutted and fitted with two springs from a genuine Luxo lamp (so you know it's good). I have been having fun bowing and scraping this with a cello bow, as well as striking it with various other objects. Some sounds are recorded acoustically, while others were done with contact mics.
You get:
Static Space is a collection of 155 space or Sci-Fi sound effects, focused on continuous, seamless loops. Instead of fly-by's and accelerations, you get the sounds of space ships going at cruise speeds or idling. If you need motion, just add panning, fades and doppler as you like.
Here are plenty of loops for designing alien environments, including engine rooms, general room tones, strange transmissions and more. Additionally, I have made sure to add plenty of variety; both in terms of moods, frequency content and tonality. Some of these are unmistakably space sound effects, while others are more ambiguous, and could be used for other high tech environments as well.
You will find both low- and high end sweeteners, so when ever you see the words “rumble” or “low end” in a file name; watch that master fader! Furthermore, I went for a strong, almost musical tone, in some sounds, while others are much more noise-based and abrasive.
Whether you seek eerie ambiences, mysterious chatter, or a bassy sweetener, Strange Moods has you covered. In this collection, you’ll find over an hour of perfectly-loopable, atmospheric audio. Inspired by such games as Limbo, No Man’s Sky, and Badlands, all 69 files are high-quality 96kHz/24bit WAV files and drag and drop ready.
Supernatural Ghosts provides the sounds of spirits in multiple variations, allowing you to construct entire horror scenes and suggest ghostly presence. To bring you this horrifying library, we recorded and designed human voices, abstract instruments such as the waterphone, thunder tube, harmonica all in 24Bit 96kHz allowing for further manipulation.
All of the human voices are provided with dry variations to enable you to apply your own effects to taste.
Here are the included folders:
Ghostly Breaths: This folder consists of male and female inhales, exhales and angry breaths all with a cold and ghostly performance.

The Keyless Piano Body is a Kontakt Patch library that features an abandoned upright piano without keyboard.
The library encompasses the results of three extensive recording sessions and features the wonderful and reverberant sound of these piano remains.
For session 1 and 2 the body was brought to a studio and literally laid back so that various things like plastic balls, felt balls, glasses and much more could be thrown in to excite the strings. At the end of both sessions tons of samples were ready to edit. They now form 13 Kontakt instruments that encompass several precisely tuned pianos plus many prepared piano sets.
Session 3 was kind of a field recording gig as the piano remains were meanwhile moved to a rural garden area. The nightly recordings were done 6-channel so that several sample sets from 2 acoustic mics and 4 contact pick ups could be created. Again, the Kontakt instruments from this session feature the sounds of a rotten piano that is lovely and impressive at the same time. In a second pass the piano strings were treated with a stell jazz brush to bring up 3 multi-channel sets with prepared piano-like sounds.
Please see the Patch List here or below to learn more about the individual instruments. Also note that The Keyless Piano Body requires Kontakt 4 or higher.

Tibetan Singing Bowls – The ancient brain entrainment methodology for healing and meditation. Tibetan Singing Bowls have been used for centuries for healing and meditation purposes. They create a range of sounds to restore the normal vibratory frequencies of diseased and out-of-harmony parts of the body, mind and soul. They are also used for sound baths, which is when participants lay on the floor and let the waves of sound from the Tibetan Singing Bowls wash over them.
9 total bowls were recorded. Notes C, D, D#, E, F, G, A, A one octave up and B. A variety of bowl sizes were used from 8 to 12 inches.
30 ear piercing samples created from organic recordings which were then stretched and manipulated using various professional plugins.
Recorded using the Sennheiser MKH 8020 Stereo Pair and Sound Devices Mix-Pre 6, this library is delivered to you at 24bit/96khz for all your sound design needs.

This library is the result of tinkering with shotgun mics recording inside of different tube structures. When our initial tests produced a wide range of sonic colors, we went all in.
The tubes used include organic and man-made materials, some rigid, some flexible, some dense, some light, all with varying lengths, diameters, and thicknesses. They consist of bamboo, PVC, 2 variations of vinyl, thin plastic, copper, tin, rubber, dense foam, and a steel-coiled membrane. Each material has a different effect on the sounds passing through them. We generated turbulent drones, thick strikes, resonant scrapes, noisy bells, delicate debris, and more. The overarching characteristics are soft, insulated, and misty. Due to the behavior of the waves in the open tubes and the pickup pattern of the shotgun mics, there is a natural frequency modulation that gives the sound a slightly narrowed, hollow timbre. They work very well in simulated settings, enclosed spaces, and when there is a need to exaggerate the magnitude of tiny worlds. But they are equally as useful as raw design fodder, especially when a unique texture is needed.
This is our first library created solely for the sake of experimentation, though based on the results, it may not be the last!
Twisted Reality – Drones & Other Worlds, brings you 50 dark, twisted, ominous and magical drones / underscores for all your sound design needs. All styles covered from, the condemned man’s last walk, to the Snow Queen’s, Ice Palace, and with most of the files over 3 mins, there should be plenty there to cover your scene.
Twisted Zither features recordings of an old zither being plucked, scraped, hit, and shaken. The library includes string hits, wood hits, tones, and different resonant sounds using a number of props such as mallets, african shakers, keys, coins, a metal beam, and fingers.

Electromagnetic informations are invisible and omnipresent. In every city, especially the big ones, an infinite number of electromagnetic waves is hidden: we can’t hear them, but they’re everywhere! Unseen Noises explores the “invisible” noise pollution transducing electromagnetic fields into audio signals with a telephone pickup: it acts like a radio antenna for hum and weird electromagnetic noises.
“We used telephone tap coils that receive electromagnetic signals around us and convert them into audible information to discover invisible and surprising aspects of the environment in which we live in.
To widen our sound palette, we explored cell phones, tablets, light systems, automated teller machines, wireless communication systems, anti-theft security devices, surveillance cameras, computers, navigation systems, wireless Internet routers, neon advertisings, public transportation networks.
We just used the system of electromagnetic induction as way of amplifying musical sounds. Our efforts were focused on finding “articulated” behaviours and other musical qualities in them.
Note that the files contained in “Unseen Noises” are real performances executed on different devices without editing.” – Matteo Milani

KEY POINTS:
Vinyl Record Noise is the first sound library from Oddball Audio. The library features eleven 10” blank records recorded from start to finish at 45rpm. The records were cut and pressed by Lathecuts in Arizona using a myriad of techniques to get the most surface noise, pops, crackles, and hiss for your sound design pleasure. In the cutting process they used four different lathes with varying noise floors and records made from many types of materials.
The library is perfect for use in any project that may need vinyl records to give it that vintage feel! Additionally these samples are great to use in granular processing, music, or to add subtle layers to a burning fire.

There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
