OLD STUFF is a collection of old and worn sounds that will help you define the mood of a scene or can be used for any kind of sound design process. The library includes hums, buzzes, whirs, creaks, squeals from many different sources: doorknobs, doors, elevators, fridges, freezers, speakers, toilets, fans, and heaters. All these different nuances and hues make this library a worthwhile tool for both film and game sound designers.
HARMONICS is a new designed sound collection that explores the inner beauty of resonating metals to create an extensive set of inspiring sonic material for sound design and film scoring – proudly presented by SampleTraxx.
Metal happens to have the right combination of speed of sound and decay. Different metal shapes produce a broad spectrum of soundscapes and tones.
HARMONICS investigates this hidden magic by designing and layering these unique timbres.
The result is an extensive set of designed evolving textures and designed metal elements which are great to create sound cues in minutes, metal hits, passby-reverses and evolving drones.
The nature of this soundpack doesn’t call for compressor or maximizer. Close attention has been paid to preserve the original dynamic excursion of each sound and fully enjoy its natural vibration and evolution.
Having a wide dynamic range guarantees more freedom in layering and arranging different elements to create endless variations.
The sonic material contained in the pack is all presented in a designed fashion and different levels of design are provided: from simple elements to evolving multilayered soundscapes and textures, all based on metallic sources. No external sounds apart from metals have been added to the mix.

The RE-201 Space Echo. Introduced in 1973 is Roland’s most notable outboard FX unit, its sound is both utility and musical. The Space Echo carves its place in music history with its sweeping echoes and infinite oscillations. Its warm and pleasant sound has been heard a million times in a million different ways in both score and album. Hear its soothing oscillations, its creaking pleather case, switches, knobs, and vintage science fiction expressive UI and emotive aural gestures.
We have designed this library to be as useful as possible while offering an insight into every sound the RE-201 Space Echo offers. This means both the internal, and external sound sources from the whirls and vibrations of its motor, to the clicks, snaps, and clunks of its switches and into the world of its echoes, spring reverb, and oscillations of its processed sound.
Full: The complete library.
Micro: A cut down library featuring some of our favourite sounds from the complete collection.
‘Dark World’ is a collection of 50 drones and moods (250 mins +) that explore ideas of designed spaces.

This library is the result of tinkering with shotgun mics recording inside of different tube structures. When our initial tests produced a wide range of sonic colors, we went all in.
The tubes used include organic and man-made materials, some rigid, some flexible, some dense, some light, all with varying lengths, diameters, and thicknesses. They consist of bamboo, PVC, 2 variations of vinyl, thin plastic, copper, tin, rubber, dense foam, and a steel-coiled membrane. Each material has a different effect on the sounds passing through them. We generated turbulent drones, thick strikes, resonant scrapes, noisy bells, delicate debris, and more. The overarching characteristics are soft, insulated, and misty. Due to the behavior of the waves in the open tubes and the pickup pattern of the shotgun mics, there is a natural frequency modulation that gives the sound a slightly narrowed, hollow timbre. They work very well in simulated settings, enclosed spaces, and when there is a need to exaggerate the magnitude of tiny worlds. But they are equally as useful as raw design fodder, especially when a unique texture is needed.
This is our first library created solely for the sake of experimentation, though based on the results, it may not be the last!
Vaeyan IV delivers a massive set of assorted sound design ingredients for your audio alchemy. It includes assets captured from natural ambiances, vehicles, tools, cameras, slingshots, scissors, clay whistles, flutes, ceramic jars, dumpsters, kitchen appliances, deconstructed fans, toys, doors, windows, vintage furniture, fountains, projectors, and even a slap bracelet. That’s right, a slap bracelet.
As with Vaeyan I, II, and III, this is a huddling of field recordings and sound designs that do not quite form a library on their own. However, together they make up an audio FX treasure chest gleaming with gold and silver audio loot!

Metal Resonances is a pack full of resonating metal that was made resonant with contact from dry ice. This creates otherworldly metallic tones which we carefully recorded and crafted into this product.
The pack contains everything needed to create all sorts of creaks and cranks and can be used to sound design everything from robots, bridges, hatches, hinges, cars, horror SFX, UI. There are also a very expressive trait to some of the sounds, and can probably be made into weird creatures and other unexpected things.
The entire pack has unique descriptive meta data for each file to make it easy to navigate between the different sounds.
The pack was captured in 96khz and 192khz and some sounds have two different perspectives to choose from. The 96khz version is usually from a close-up handheld perspective or in direct contact with the material, where 192kHz comes from carefully miced up static positions.
Recorded with two Oktava MK 012 in spaced stereo configuration and a Sony PCM m-10
Singing Bowl features a variety of sounds captured directly from a small Tibetan singing bowl.
The library was meticulously recorded in stereo using a mixture of contact microphones and a Sony PCM D100 recorder. Strikes in a variety of styles, from wood, rubber, fingering, plastic, and metal were recorded, as well as rotation resonances, drops and scrapes. In addition to allowing the bowl to fully ring out, the recordings also include dampened hits.
Also included are a unique set of designed sounds. Utilising a variety of sound processing techniques, the results include user interface effects, abstract drones and moving tones. This sound set was also produced dry so that you can apply your own reverb to taste if required.
The Cement Factory sound effects pack was recorded in a giant cement processing and rock crushing factory. It features perfectly looping ambiences that'll be sure to set a dark, industrial mood on anything that it's used on. Recorded with a Oktava MK 012 in MS Configuration.

The Inner ambience sound effects library is a collection of high definition sounds recorded inside various spaces using matched stereo contact microphones.
Each ambience has its own unique character and natural frequency modulation.
Some of them has constant velocity like an industrial hum, power block energy field, fans and compressors, while others have weird fluctuations like road columns affected by wind and passing-by cars, bridge columns, fences, water pipes: some of the mechanical and electrical sequences were recorded as well, such as water pump, lawn mowers, automatic window rollers, pool cover mechanism and others.
The audio files could be used, as they are – for dark, eerie, confusing atmospheres or elements in your game or film projects.
It is a good source for further manipulation and designing new sounds as it is recorded in 24/96. In addition to the pack there are designed sounds of these recordings to give you an idea of how you can push them in a different creative way and of course use it in your projects as well.

There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
We're always looking for new sounds to mangle, so when A Sound Effect had a holiday sale, I tried them out.
The purchase experience is really smooth and quick, and delivery is almost instant.
I'll definitely come back to them again in the future!
A Sound Effect is a wonderful resource for indie sound effects libraries. On top of that, it has some of the finest sound design, film and game audio interviews!
I often need very specific types of sounds so I've become a big supporter of independent recorders.
Until now I've always had to go to their individual websites. Now I can find them all in one place.
And, Asbjoern is great to work with!
A Sound Effect is a well curated boutique sound effects shop and a great place to find industry interviews and learning resources.
