“Wimpy Dog” is a collection of over 35 different recordings of a particularly sad German shepherd. He whines, he calls out, he yelps, he pants and pleads for attention in a truly expressive manner. He’ll be sure to bring some much needed character to any dog you’ve got onscreen or a creature you are designing.
The takes are generous in length, with plenty of breaths before and after each vocalization simplifying the creation of complex sequences. All of this was recorded outside, with great signal to noise, ie. very little air. No kennel reverb or cage moves and only the occasional birds in the background. That adds up to sounds which will hold up to robust amounts of processing.

This library provides the highest quality vocal sounds of the members of a wolves pack in their social interaction: Howls solo and in groups from 2 to 9, fierce growls, extremely bassy grumblings, barks, snorts, whines, yapping. All the raw material was collected using the method of passive week-long observation with minimal intrusion, nothing was staged or provoked. A large part of the library is made of unintentional recordings of the accidental territorial quarrel between a polar wolf SEVER and an alpha male HORT: very aggressive growls, teeth clacking and other fight sounds. Luckily, despite the terrifying sonic impression, no one was injured. About 60 hours of raw recordings were edited into 1 hour 18 minutes, 151 files with 500+ individual sounds. Wolves are very emotional, expressive and surprisingly musical. So, these sounds can be equally useful for films and games representing wolves, as well as for creature and monster sound design. Some of the recordings sound very humanlike.
10% of this library revenue goes to the shelter for wolves.
This collection features 150 wolf and coyote sound effects. This library includes howls, roars, barks and more from single and multiple coyotes and wolves.
These sounds have been handpicked from the Sound Ideas General HD collections, Series 6000, Series 1000, Just Birds & Animals and Wild World of Animals libraries, as well as the Digiffects Library and the Hollywood Edge Animal Trax, The Edge 1 & 2, Premiere Edition and Animal Planet libraries.

In a remote research lab in the north-east of England, scientists have been secretly carrying out experiments on a number of human test subjects. There is no record of what these experiments entailed or who authorized them, but one thing we do know is that something went horrendously wrong and transformed these once-innocent, everyday people into something else entirely… Something inherently evil.
Herein lies an audio documentation of these wretched beasts as they run amok with only one thing on their minds… To feed and to destroy.
Zombie Specimens contains a wide variety of zombie growls, groans and vocalisations straight from the zombie testing lab. We captured and designed voices from multiple actors to bring you these effects all in 24Bit 96kHz, allowing for further manipulation.
All vocalisations are provided without reverb, so that you can drop them straight into your mix and add your own spatial effects. Perfect for use in Film, TV, Game and horror productions.

There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
We're always looking for new sounds to mangle, so when A Sound Effect had a holiday sale, I tried them out.
The purchase experience is really smooth and quick, and delivery is almost instant.
I'll definitely come back to them again in the future!
A Sound Effect is a wonderful resource for indie sound effects libraries. On top of that, it has some of the finest sound design, film and game audio interviews!
I often need very specific types of sounds so I've become a big supporter of independent recorders.
Until now I've always had to go to their individual websites. Now I can find them all in one place.
And, Asbjoern is great to work with!
A Sound Effect is a well curated boutique sound effects shop and a great place to find industry interviews and learning resources.
