RAIN IN THE CITY features 41 HD 24bit/96khz Sound Effects with a large assortment of rains, drippings, gutters, traffic, streams and other water movements. Recorded during Los Angeles's heavy El Nino Weather storms in 2015. All new and original recordings.
'Rain in the City' has 70 files and more than 3 hours of recordings of light rain and storms in the city. This collection includes both indoor and outdoor ambience recordings from the 9th floor of a city building, within a vehicle, and on the street. There are also recordings of rain drops from the roof and drip cap, as well as rare recordings of a hail shower, flowing rain water through drain pipes and storm drains, and rain onto umbrellas, a car, and metal surfaces.

This library contains various types and intensities of rain, from soft dripping to downpour, and the files are long enough to cover the rainbursts from start to end. Most of the files are also easily loopable.
Some of the sounds are recorded with closed windows for a realistic indoor perspective. In other takes a window is left ajar to enhance the sound of the rain outside and four files gives you an exterior perspective from a porch.

What is RECENTER?
ReCenter is a stereo processor that rotates an incoming stereo signal to the center or a given angle without altering the stereo width. Having the incoming signal centered, you can narrow or widen the stereo image within ReCenter. For a better low frequency control you can mono the original signal below a set frequency. A multiband processing option intelligently shifts more complicated signals.
DYNAMICALLY CORRECT STEREO IMAGES
Have you ever worked with stereo material that was not centered correctly? Pointing a stereo microphone a hundred percent accurately onto a sound source gets harder the further away the source is. As a result, you get a recording with a constantly shifting center that would require you to manually adjust and automate the panning over the whole recording. ReCenter continuously analyzes the directionality of a stereo or M/S signal and rotates it to a given target angle in real-time – without narrowing the stereo image.

Correct poorly aimed or moving stereo recordings while skipping the time-consuming and most often ineffective pan automation process. All you need to do ist tell ReCenter how hard, fast and precisely it should adjust your signal.

There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
