Sound Effects

  • This library of only the highest quality sounds of the body was recorded over several long and precarious nights. It was a labor of love, as we starved ourselves for the perfect stomach grumbles, and gagged ourselves for authentic puking sounds. We hope you can find many uses for this library, and we hope it brings your next project to the next level!

    Features sounds such as:
Bone cracks, breathing, burps, chewing, coughs, eating, farts, gagging, gargling, grumbles, hiccups, kissing, nose blows, puking, rumble, scratching, sneezes, spitting, swishes, throat clears, yawns

All recordings were recorded in a Foley studio at 192kHz with a Fostex FR-2 recorder, Project Studio C4 mic, and Ambient Emesser ATE-208 bi-directional mic and mastered in Pro Tools.

  • Vinyl Record Noise is the first sound library from Oddball Audio. The library features eleven 10” blank records recorded from start to finish at 45rpm. The records were cut and pressed by Lathecuts in Arizona using a myriad of techniques to get the most surface noise, pops, crackles, and hiss for your sound design pleasure. In the cutting process they used four different lathes with varying noise floors and records made from many types of materials.

The library is perfect for use in any project that may need vinyl records to give it that vintage feel! Additionally these samples are great to use in granular processing, music, or to add subtle layers to a burning fire.

    At a glance:

    • 11 .wav files
    • over 55 minutes of content
    • recorded on U-Turn Audio table through tube preamps and RME interface
    • 2.07 GB uncompressed size – 1.69 GB zip archive
    • recorded and presented as 24 bit/96 kHz stereo files
    • free lifetime updates
  • Modern Seating is a library compiled of a variation of modern chairs found in the office or home. The idea is to fill the need for chairs which aren’t always on the verge of breaking or creaking in every direction. It’s a foley library of rolls, pickups and general movement in each type of chair or seat. The library was recorded using the Shoeps CMIT5 and the Avedis MA5.

  • This is a dense library of accomplished and cacophonous sounds. This is a dramatic and horror filled library, teaming with tension and ghostly ambience, stingers and hits.
Most of these sounds have been used in film and television in one form or another. They’re more than just “designy sounds”.

These are intended to create a score of tension that can help you build a scene to it’s full potential. These sounds add movement within the soundtrack, especially with the drones, stingers, hits and demonic lingerings.

If you’re looking to notch your project up a level with intensity, mood and expressive design, this may be a step in the right direction. Hopefully you’ll have as much inspiration as I did when creating these.

  • Digital Dust delivers 128 tracks of pure digital bit-crushing distortion, deep atmospheric drones, and ear-piercing interface sounds.
Digital Dust is not your usual clean and modern computer command sound effects library. All sounds have been designed from real world electrical or organic recorded sounds.

Granulated, stretched, pitched and mangled in endless chains of plugins and hardware, for very different and almost apocalyptic kinds of rogue computer command sounds. The samples can easily be stretched or processed even more, for even weirder sound fx.

    The library contains:

26 Drones/atmospheric beds. All are minimum 1 minute long, and are easily loopable.
    61 Glitchy, bitcrushing FX.
    41 Otherworldly signal FX.

  • Skillfully performed using glasses as instruments, Sonomar Collection: Crystal Sing features 46 clean, high quality recordings of ringing vibrations perfectly suited for your harmonic tonal needs. This unique collection contains sonorous ringing tones at various pitches as well as sharp squeaks and rubs. Use the raw recordings to add hypnotic resonant layers to your projects, or alter them to experience the depth of Crystal Sing’s harmonic range.

To capture these sounds, sound designer and recordist Martin Pinsonnault (Big Little Lies, Dallas Buyers Club) and the Sonomar team used six different types of glasses including Ricard, cognac and champagne flute glasses. The tonal vibrations created by rubbing a wet finger along the rim of the glass were recorded in 192kHz with MKH-8040 microphones in ORTF setup. Each glass produced its own pitch and tone dependent on its size, shape, and the amount of water added. The rich high frequency response and minimal noise make these clean harmonic tones ideal for pitching and processing.

Each sound file is embedded with comprehensive metadata to help you find the exact sound effect you need with fast, pinpoint search. Enable creativity with detailed descriptions of each recording and their specific sonic qualities. Advanced metadata fields include translated French descriptions and additional info to ensure compatibility across any database search platform such as Soundminer, BaseHead, Netmix, Workspace (Pro Tools), Find Tool (Media Composer), Media Bay (Nuendo), Reaper, Adobe Premiere, and beyond.

Sonomar Collection: Crystal Sing is also included in Pro Sound Effects’ CORE: Standard.

    Key Features:

    • 46 sound effects (790MB)
    • 24-bit/192kHz broadcast .wav files
    • Rich embedded metadata descriptions
    • 100% Royalty-Free
  • Geophonic Design Vol. 2 features a diverse collection of compelling designed sounds, which includes infrasonic frequencies all the way down to 10Hz. This library has a strong sci-fi & horror vibe and gives you a wide and varied palette of unique sounds that are perfect for injecting a little mystery and darkness into your film, video game or documentary project.

To create the sounds in this library, Our Audio Craftsmen used a ‘Geophone’ which is a seismic measurement device used to record seismic waves and vibrations of the earth. Using the Geophone, we recorded low vibrations and rumbles of various surfaces and locations. You can expect to find a wide selection of seismic ambiences, as well as an assortment of thunderous subsonic hits, blistering whooshes and electrifying glitch effects.

All of the included sounds were then precisely edited and designed by our dedicated in house team to build ambiences such as underground sewers, a labyrinth of metal pipes, nuclear wastelands, research bases, and other abstract ambiences. In addition, all the files are available in 24Bit 96kHz and extensively tagged with metadata and are UCS compliant to integrate seamlessly with your workflow.

The sounds will also make a great addition to your library as layered textures, to build a mysterious atmosphere in your projects, and will be perfect as drones and ambiences for futuristic, sci-fi and horror scenes.

  • Metal friction recordings shine when using a rosined cello bow on a thin sheet of metal or a drum cymbal. Dragging a heavy metal cabinet across a floor creates a wild ronk; pulling a gritty old wheelbarrow over concrete is a hell of a sound; and pulling a rusty metal drawer through an uncooperative space is pure gold.

With this massive metal friction SFX library, you’ll be able to either design your own unique material using the included raw source sounds of scrapes, deep bows, slicers and grinders, or start by grabbing ready-to-go designed metallic sounds that are perfect for trailers, horror, games, and more.

This library contains 132 detailed recordings of various source metal friction + 29 designed cinematic metallic textures. All recordings captured on a Sound Devices MixPre 6 using a Sennheiser MKH 8040 Stereo Pair.

  • Guitar Designed originated from source recordings of an expert guitarist playing a variety of articulations across the instrument. Our Audio Craftsmen used a variety of tools to then mangle, distort and transform these into ground-breaking, futuristic sonic elements.

This library includes everything from deep, hypnotic low drones to fast and reactive cinematic stingers, all designed from this players hand-crafted, custom shop instrument. Furthermore, we have also prepared a strong selection of accustomed guitar riffs, licks and phrases ready to be dropped into whatever project you wish!

All sounds were recorded and have been brought to you here at the music industry sample rate standard of 48kHz, and 24 bit-depth. Whether you’re working on your latest film, designing the soundscape for a video game or producing a great new track; this library has something for all.

  • Mind States Vol. 3 is the third instalment of one of our most popular experimental sound effects libraries. Our Audio Craftsmen designed and manipulated a variety of sine waves to produce a truly cerebral, immersive experience of sounds.

Unlike our previous two Mind States libraries, this collection focuses on the transition between mind states, such as drifting between alpha and beta brainwaves or delving deeper into meditative thought. Perfect for superhero films, sci-fi projects, mind- reading characters, meta-narratives and more!

This product comprises a multitude of binaural sounds denoting brain activity, metaphorical mind movement, gradual increases and decreases in pitch, speed-ups and slow-downs, chordal and harmonic brainwaves and varying ambiences full of buzzes, wails and drones.

Sounds have been separated into the following categories:

Ambiences – Experimental ambiences designed to add a 6th sense to your scenes.

Brainwave Fluctuations – Longer sequences of movement perfect for that drifting-in-between effect.

Decreasing Brainwaves – Designed brainwave movement decreasing in pitch.

Increasing Brainwaves – Designed brainwave movement increasing in pitch.

Oneshots – Shorter sequences ideal for quicker movement and transitions.

Pads – Gentler designed sounds made for longer transitions and scenes, or for atmospheric purposes e.g. inside a character’s mind.

All sounds were recorded in 24Bit 96kHz, and have been tagged with extensive UCS metadata for ease of use.

  • Interior Vibrations Vol. 3 is the third volume in our Interior Vibrations collection.

This collection was captured by our Audio Craftsmen with a stereo pair of contact microphones, used experimentally to generate a range of unique textural sounds. It features drilling, scraping and a diversity of movement performed on various metals and a guitar.

These raw recordings are made for further design and are great for adding an abstract edge to your projects. Or try including them in horror and sci-fi projects for some unsettling sonic texture.

All sounds are delivered in 24Bit 192kHz format allowing further sonic manipulation, and have been meticulously edited and tagged with extensive UCS compliant metadata for ease of use.

  • A massive 496 Audio Files of detailed and balanced recordings of handwriting performances. Scribbles, erasing, check marks, blackouts, colouring, circles and crosshatches for each writing tool are in this complete Foley library.

You get mechanical pen and pencil clicks, cap pop-offs and snap-ons, squeaky pens and thick markers, crayons, ball point pens, felt pens, erasers, highlighters and sharpies.

Capturing the detail of the subtle sound with zero background noise is an art in itself! For these recordings, we found that the best results were achieved using an LCR configuration. A tightly positioned Rode NTG3 shotgun mic for the centre was used, along with a pair of slightly pulled back Sennheiser MKH 8040s to provide a gentle stereo image. The environment we used was our “dead room”, completely silent and reverb-free for this type of recording (this neat little room approaches a mini anechoic chamber) Reliably transparent and highly recommended, a Sound Devices Mix-Pre-6 was used to capture the final recordings.
